    We paid for a banquette with a 4-6 week timeline on September 25th that was never delivered, and to make matters worse, ignored all calls/texts until we showed up in person. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, we received minimal updates and constant explanations of the paint was not done properly, too sticky to install or the latest one the roof collapsed on the paint shop for the last week. We are now entering week 12 with all calls/texts ignored again. He has essentially taken our money and completely ignored his obligation to fulfill the service. We gave him the opportunity to make it right and refund us, to which he declined. I posted on Chappaqua moms ************** (was unaware negative reviews were not allowed, so the post has since been taken down) but several other people and even a past employee confirmed that he has been scamming customers. We checked in with several adjacent businesses on the block who also confirmed questionable business practices. I am not sure how he is able to run a storefront in the center of town with so many people having similar experiences. We are in the process of a demand letter and plan to file a small business claim, but it seems this should be a larger issue since this is not an isolated incident.

    I placed an order with Simon Cohen, the owner, for window shades for my house. A deposit of $4,313 was paid on 9/19/2024. I was told, as documented on the receipt, that the lead time would be 3-4 weeks. In the middle of November, I realized that I had not heard back from Simon. I texted Simon (which is how we communicated before) on 12/5/2024 asking for an update. He never replied back. I sent a follow up email on 12/6/2024 saying that I reached out the day before and never heard back. I mentioned that if the shades were not coming soon, that I would like to discuss options on moving forward with the transaction. My husband stopped by his store a few days later and spoke to Simon. He said that he would call me later that day and said that there were delays with the shades. Simon never called me that day. My husband went back the next day to speak to him and Simon said he didn't have an update, but would call me back that day. That never happened. I then sent another follow up email on 12/28/2024 and he never responded.On January 7, I tried to call Simon on his cell phone and no one picked up. I then called his store directly and got someone from reception and left a message for him to call me back and explained that I had not heard back from him. They told me he would call me back. On January 9, I followed up with another phone call and the woman,*****, said she gave him my message the other day and would ask him to call me back again. I have continued to try to get a hold of him and was told he was calling me back and he continues to not call me.
