I dropped off my car to Porsche Gold Coast on November 1st 2024 for service. It had an engine issue that is covered by my warranty. Since then I have barely been able to communicate with them. When making my appointment to drop off the car to them I reserved a loaner vehicle for the first week of December. I was promised by ****, my service adviser that I would have a loaner by latest Saturday, December 7th 2024. I have been calling the dealership since Thursday and I have not been able to speak to him after leaving multiple messages. I have been paying my finance monthly payments of $1460 and paying for rental cars as needed since I dropped off the car. The customer service I have experienced from this ************************** is considerably lacking for the esteem that this brand holds. I have no idea what is going on with my car. Apparently it was sitting in their garage untouched for weeks because they were waiting for some type of table to be able to drop my cars engine and diagnose it. I was told this table became available for my car last week on Wednesday and that I would get an update with in a day or two.Initial Complaint

I hire this business to fix my car after a small accident, porsche gold coast was paid almost 79 thousands dollars by the insurance company , and one big problem with the car harness and the profornance of certain features still not working even after more than 8 visits to the dealership in the last 14 months. ( after evrey shop visit they claim that the problem is fixed, and I find out later that this is not true , and the problem still exists. )Business Response

You had a serious collision with your vehicle. It required a full body harness. Your insurance company only approved a partial body harness. It might be more productive to engage your insurance company and have them approve the required repair..Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The ***************** paid all the requested dollars amount of the body shop at the time of the incident around 78 thousands dollars [ 17 months ago ) , and the insurance company now stating that the current problems it has to due with the wrong work ( mal practice ) *** on the car harness at the body shop , and they are stating that the issues need to be fixed by the dealership/ body shop that damaged the harness. I purchased a lemon 911 from this dealership in July 2023. The car had issues before I brought the car and it was sold to me like that. Ive brought the car to service over 8 times in 3 months of ownership of this 911. The dealership cant figure out whats wrong with the car. Porsche *** isnt doing anything to help me as a customer that spent a lot of money on this car. I would recommend never to purchase a car from Porsche unless you wanna live in the service center and never see your car again. I am disappointed with Porsche *** and Porsche Gold Coast. They stealing their customers money by overcharging for cars that doesnt have that much value. my car has been in the shop since 10/21/23 and the car is still not fixed.Business Response

I went to Porsche Gold Coast to buy a used Porsche and trade my Porsche in. I was quoted a price for my car. But when I came into the dealership they changed the price after 4 hours of inspections. When the deal was agreed upon prior to client driving up north to ** from MD, ************** was informed the deal and trade value is being based on visual & Porsche CPO inspection and VAL submission from our service department to verify all systems were working properly. Upon ********* ******* on Monday morning at 9:00am I have stepped in to assist our preowned manager ********************* in appraisal process of his 2014 Porsche 911. ************* was informed that **** would not be in until 11am but he decided to come in early as I would expect since he was excited about his new car.
After I inspected the vehicle ********* *********** & our Brand Ambassador *** walked me over to ************* and introduced me to him as I needed to go over the issues we have found after I have looked at his vehicle. The undisclosed issues which I found included the following:
Damage to lower front bumper needs to be completely refinished.
Repainted hood poor quality
Repainted driver side quarte panel, A-pillar and sail panel - very poor quality with dirt in paint and visible tape lines. Needs to be refinished.
Painted rear bumper acceptable condition
Curbed wheels needed refinishing
Drivers door panel peeling up at top edge with missing mounting tabs ( this is not repairable and needs to be replaced at a cost of near $2,000 for the part alone excluding labor )
Aftermarket Navigation unit this is the only item ************* disclosed. Still must be reinstalled by our service **** with additional labor hours and an unknow outcome. ( after installing do we know for sure it will work 100% ?)
Immediately ************* became irate, started pacing and told me We better not play games and break his chops after his long drive. He stated he bought a CPO vehicle from Porsche dealer and how can this be?. The fact that ************** did not do his diligence on his prior purchase has nothing to do with us.maybe he knew the condition of his vehicle, maybe he did not and was truly unaware..but again the fact that he was unaware or did not do his due diligence on his prior purchase should not cost Porsche Gold Coast any money. After **** showed up and sat down to explain things once again to **************, he slammed his hand on ***** desk and additionally threatened to torch us on a survey.
Please note that the vehicle ************* took delivery of was delivered as described, with no issues because we hold every Porsche trade to high CPO standard, we spend a lot of time and money reconditioning the vehicles or describing to our clients properly. We do the right thing whether the customer is around the corner or comes to us from the other side of the states. There is not std. appraisal process as ************* suggests because we took his word on the condition of his trade and unfortunately not being an expert in automotive business, he misrepresented his trade whether it was intentionally or not intentionally. The true issue at hand is his misrepresentation of trade and not Gold Coast Delivering something other than what we described!
Unfortunately, we do not see a possible resolution at this time as we feel we have done nothing wrong. We have delivered a product ************* was described and he agreed to purchase after all final negotiations and adjustments were made face to face, on the other hand we did not receive a trade we expected and had to adjust accordingly.Initial Complaint

When I purchased my vehicle, I decided to purchase a tire and wheel insurance package. However shortly after purchasing the insurance package, I changed my mind and decided I no longer needed the insurance. The terms of the insurance policy is such that you can cancel at anytime and you will be refunded the unused portion of the policy. The form to cancel your policy requires the signature of the dealer from which you purchased it from so I emailed the form to the dealership to sign so that I can submit to terminate the policy. I hadn't heard back for a while and after several followups the dealership informed me that it is they who need to cancel the policy and that it takes 6 weeks to get processed through at which point, they will mail me a check for the refunded amount. This email in which they notified me it would *********** weeks was sent on Sept 1, 2022, I followed up on Oct 17 after 6 weeks had passed and I heard no response, and have since followed up another two times as recently as this past Friday, November 4 and still have not gotten a response. I've uploaded the email chain that shows what I describe above. The dealership is preventing me from terminating a contract I have a right to terminate and receive a refund of my money, and the longer it takes to terminate, the less money I get back.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I had previously filed a complaint with Porsche Gold Coast through BBB about a wheel and tire insurance package that I purchased at the time I purchased my car. A few months after, I decided i did not need the package and sent in a cancellation notice which is allowed by the policy. It took me several attempts to even get Porsche Gold Coast to respond and process the cancellation. As you can see in my prior complaint from Nov 10, Porsche Gold Coast claims they cancelled the policy when i notified them on Sept 5th, and in that November response, they also stated that I would receive my refund which is 95% of the cost within the next two weeks. It is now a month later and I still have not received my refund and I've emailed them multiple times asking for an update without a response.
