On December 12, 2023 at approximately 6:55 am, I experienced some damage to my 2021 ****** **** at CK Laser Wash located on Conklin Ave, Binghamton touchless car wash. When the dryer was on, I heard a loud bang when it was at the rear of my vehicle and after pulling out of the stall, I checked my car and noticed some damage on the left back driver side of my vehicle. They were very responsive when I contacted them at first and told me they would submit it to their insurance company. Now it is been over two months, and they will not return my emails from January 15, 2024 and February 7, 2024 when I asked them for their insurance information so I can contact the insurance company directly. I called them on February 12, 2024 and was told the manager, Connor would call me back. They have not returned me call or my multiple emails. It has been unacceptable that it has taken this long and they have became unresponsive. If they would maintain that car wash a little better, maybe these things would not happen.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
CK Laser’s response clearly indicates how irresponsible they
are as a business owner. I notified them
within hours of the incident, and they did not indicate they would not take responsibility
for the damage to my vehicle that was caused by their lack of maintenance for
the equipment. In fact, verbally on the
phone, they immediately told me that they would be submitting the damage to
their insurance company and in an email from January 3, 2024 (see below): “Yes, we received them and are waiting to hear back from the
insurance company and the owner to further proceed. Due to the holidays, some
people are unavailable. We will let you know when we need more information or
the outcome of those calls”. I cannot explain what hit my car during the drying cycle as
I was not looking at the back of my car. I have no reason to make this claim as I am financially
able to take care of damage to my vehicle if something happens due to my own negligence. I am appalled at their lack of responsibility. Their response lacks any type of guidance on what they are looking
for – “As far as vehicle damage we would need more information and
documentation”. I immediately notified them, I provided pictures they best I
could, and attached is the quote that I recently obtained. Businesses are responsible for maintaining a safe
environment for their customers.
Obviously, they do not maintain their equipment, or this would never
have happened. I specifically used their car wash because it is supposed to be
a “touchless car wash” which means I should not have anything touching my car
during the car wash and there clearly was some type of failure with the drying cycle. I do not feel I am in any way responsible for their faulty equipment. My next step will either be filling a small
claims case, and/or I will submit the repair to my insurance company, and they
will go after CK Laser for any costs associated with the repair of my car if the Better Business Bureau is not successful in this claim. I am
also requesting they take responsibility for renting a vehicle during the repair
as ******** ****** said it will take 3 to 4 days to complete the repair. This
entire incident is CK Laser’s full responsibility.

Dear BBB, The scratches in the submitted pictures have rust in them , indicating they have been their for some time. Also the foam spray bar is straight , it would have to have bent inward somehow to make a scratch in that location. We have no other vehicle scratch complaints at that time from any location. Attached is a letter from ******** ****** that indicates there is absolutely no rust anywhere on my vehicle, including the spot that was damage by CK Laser's car wash. I am kindly requesting that you provide me with your insurance information so I can move forward with getting my vehicle fixed or I will be filling small claims case.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
Unfortunately, unless he has cameras there, I have no absolute proof other than my word and I am not a liar. I will file a small claims case and a judge can order him to pay for my damage as it 100% happened at his car wash that he clearly does not maintain well or I would not have encountered damage during the dry cycle. As a business owner, CK Laser should take responsibility for maintaining their equipment. A touchless car wash should never cause damage to anyone's vehicle unless there was some type of equipment malfunction.

My car was damaged at my local car wash on March 2nd. I have contact the company store serval of times and it seem like a they have no care in the world. My whole passenger mirror for me to see is completely hanging off. I’m getting frustratedBusiness Response

I went to Cks car wash on Feb 11 2023 to wash my car. I went to a hand spry bay and the cost was $4.00. So i inserted my credit card and washed my car. The i looked at my credit card statement a few days later and CKS charged my card $20.00. I called them on Feb 15th 2023 and was offered a new wash which I didnt need I want my money Back. I called back in Feb 23rd 2023 and they took down my credit card number and they said only the owner can do credit card returns. Called back today March 2nd 2023 and was once again told the manager ****** would call me but the owner is the only one to do credit card returnsBusiness Response

Dear BBB, Regarding the 16 dollar refund. We offered a wash code valued at 18 dollars over the phone. It was refused. We offered a cash refund of 16 dollars at our *** ***** * ** location. It was refused. The customer wants a refund put back on the card which he should call the card company and ask for that.There is a sign stating clearly to hit the “end” button to stop the charges. On 8/16/2022 I attempted to use this auto car wash, I inserted a $20 bill selected the $13 option for the wash and was short changed by $6.00. Called the number listed on the receipt and left a message inquiring on how to get the money due me. Pulled forward into the wash stall, the machine spit a tiny bit of water on the vehicle, and proceeded to spit some soap or some colored stuff on the vehicle and the cycle was done and dried the vehicle and booted me out of the bay. Good thing it was raining so I could at least clean off my windshield!
Attempted another phone call, left another message. Went home and sent an email and message on ********, provided name, address + phone number so they could send me a refund.
I have yet to get any response from this business. Certainly would like restitution for the $20 I spend for nothing.
