I rented an apartment complex called Bethlehem Terrace Apartments. Which is owned by Cass Hill Management Company. My address was ** *********** *** *** **** ************* ** ****** I ended the lease early, my lease went through November. I moved out on September 15th. I gave them more than 60 days notice and followed the lease agreement. They found a renter for the apartment and the apartment was taken over by new people on October 15th. I paid the rent in full for the month of October, which was 1,075.00. I am due back a partial refund for my rent paid for October. This company has also denied my return of my security deposit. I have filed a complaint with the district attorneys office of NY regarding my deposit.

I have called the landlord dozens of times, I have emailed them repeatedly, the last email I got a reply from was on 10/13/24 in which she states she is waiting on her boss to finalize my refund. I emailed again on 11/5/24 asking and have not received an answer. Of all my phone calls not a single one has been returned. Of all my emails I have only received replies occasionally and with no resolution or answers.

I have called the main number of Cass Hill and I have been unable to speak with a person. I cannot find an email contact of anyone besides my landlord. I am seeking a refund for the portion of rent I paid in October. Even if this issue gets resolved, I would like to file a complaint against  Bethlehem Terrace apartments and also Cass Hill Management company. This company and the Apartment complex have been unresponsive and unprofessional.

I recently moved into Bethlehem apartments on June 1st, 2024. On Friday August 9th my apartment flooded with several inches of water around 4p-6:30p. I immediately tried calling emergency maintenance to not have an answer until an hour later. Maintenance came around 8p. The apartment complex reached out Monday August 12th around 9am with little concern about fixing the issue of why it flooded, only concerned to rip out the soaking wet rug and replace it. That was repaired Tuesday the 13th. With little contact about the repairs on the issue to the flood caused by a broken drain pipe filling my outdoor patio with water. I left for a week Saturday August 17th. I made the complex aware I was going to be away. Monday August 19th the apartment flooded again from the same issue- heavy rain draining into my patio going into my living room. I left a voicemail Monday night and Tuesday asking for updates on the apartment. The apartment complex didn't reach out until Wednesday morning around 10am. They had entered my apartment with no warning or phone call. Maintenance made me aware that this apartment has been dealing with this water issue in the past. I came back to the apartment Monday the September 2nd, smelling like mildew and mold. Construction out front of my building had started Tuesday the 3rd and lasted a week. After being gone for the weekend, Sunday September 8th I came home to find water in my living room again, the reason for the water is unknown. Maintenance came again and the leasing office has not made any contact with me on next steps as of September 10th. I did not hear from them since. I moved out oct. 15th and have not received the security deposit.
