1 starBeen shopping at R &F for many years. Bought the Polonia 5 piece dining set for $17000 a year ago June. Single, I seldom sit at the table to eat, opting for kitchen island. So use of that set maybe equal to a month, maybe less, than an average consumer/ family would use. Sat down two days ago and the mechanical joint at rear of seat, (chair back reclines a bit), broke making the chair useless.
Customer service rep Mila, "... Sorry, nothing we can do the warranty expired."
Never again. Suggest you shop elsewhere and DO NOT BUY that POS dining setReview fromShakina J

1 starBrought a sleeper sofa from Raymour and Flanningan in March 2023. Realized that the sofa left side went into the sofa making it look slanted. Called them immediately when I noticed in august 2023. They asked me to send the photos because I was under the manufacturer warranty. Once I sent the photos after a whole month they told me it wasn’t covered. By law if the item cannot be fixed it must be replaced within in the 1 year. They stated that due to a tear they could not. I sent them photos to let them know the problem wasn’t just any ordinary tear it was clearly done by whatever holds up the sofa and that it was underneath it. This is definitely a sofa that was no good in the first place. 4 months after receiving my sofa I shouldn’t be having these problems. They kept apologizing for not getting back to me in time but not for the inconvenience this has caused me .. the representative by the name Anthony didn’t even sound like he wanted to help he just kept saying I can contact the vendor. Why should I be contacting the vendor Raymour are the ones getting these merchandise from them. If this was to happen after the 1 year it wouldn’t matter but for this to happen before the 1 year and for them to just take my money and run is not right and unprofessional. All the representative Anthony kept saying is I should of gotten their warranty , he does not know my financial issues for him to keep saying that was also discriminatory. I can see by reading these reviews that these type of issues has happen something must be done .. they are charging so much money for furniture pieces but not giving you the good quality.Review fromWashington Z

1 starThere is a reason why this company has a no return policy. I just purchased a bedroom set and mattress from this company full size and the mattress doesn’t look like it fits in the frame of the bed. You can see a huge gap on the bed and can actually see the frame of the bed. I complained to the manager in the farmingdale store and he told me it’s suppose to be like this. He actually told me that the bunkie board will help the look. I asked how by hiding the frame. A bunkie board is not gonna make my mattress 5 inches bigger. He tells me to get the bunkie board and put a comforter will make it look better. I told him that the mattress looks like **** on the bed. He got offended but I didn’t care. Their customer service sucks and there policies suck it’s why they won’t refund money or find a solution to a problem. One of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with and will never buy anything from this store again. He is gonna send this to the regional manager but I don’t see him resolving the issue either avoid this business. I see that they don’t get good reviews eitherReview fromRosalyn F

1 starI never purchased furniture from this company and after this experience never will again . I purchased a couch loveseat and arm chair for over three thousand dollars . I was very patient waiting for my furniture to arrive because it was during COVID and there were issues with shipping. A month after receiving my sofa I noticed that the back leg was cracked and was attempted to be repaired by putting screws in it . This was an attempt to pawn off defective merchandise on me . Now my leather loveseat which I’ve had for less than 2 years is beginning to peel. I recently called about this and was told it’s out of warranty. The way customers are treated is shameful. It’s no wonder that they push protect protection because their products are not of good quality . I would give 0 stars if I couldReview fromJohn E

1 starWent to the Raymour & Flanigan near me to purchase a mattress. Applied for credit early to move the process along thru the Raymour & Flanigan site. Do the Raymour and Flanigan sales people know all about the lending company and their practices, but told us nothing but you need to pay it within 90 days to avoid fees. Come to find out the lending company take payments out weekly. Not starting after 90 days but after the first week. When we let them know we unhappy with the product and wanted to return it for a refund they told us that we would have to call the manufacturer to see if they would give us our money back. Thanks for pushing the protection and not backing it. Will never recommend this company to anyone.Review fromAnnMarie w

1 starAs others have stated, I purchased a leather sofa for over2K and was encouraged to purchase the platinum plan. Within 15 months the leather is peeling. The service manager told me it was no longer under warranty and it was just "what leather does, like a leather jacket" I couldn't believe her arrogant demeaning tone. She stated that the protection plan would cover spills and the like. My response? "So if I were to spill a bottle of nail polish on it, it would be covered? but not cracking due to poor leather?" We are a senior couple who sit on the thing maybe 2-3 hours a day and are not here to use it in the winter months. We know the difference between fading and cracking, especially since my husband owned a small leather producing company in Maine for many years.
Upper Management would not respond in any way and we are left with a defective sofa. This company has gone down hill in the past 20 years!! AVOID themReview fromRenee C

1 starWhile the sales experience was very pleasant, the quality of the furniture and the company 's willingness to stand behind their products turned out to be very poor.
I purchased a leather sofa and loveseat for almost 5k. I was told that they were quality and was encouraged to get their Platinum Protection plan which I was told would cover pretty much anything that might happen to the product.
3 years later, my sofa is peeling. This is from a pet free home with light use. It is otherwise in excellent condition. It's clearly a product quality issue and product failure.
I am told that it was in my fine print in the Platinum Protection plan that peeling is not covered. In fact, I'm told that pretty much no product failure or quality issue is covered. However, if you are careless and cut or puncture your sofa or spill nail polish all over it,... then they will, apparently, give you a new one. I was told that I have no remedy for poor product quality or failure,, and that the company will not contact the manufacturer for me or offer me any discount or remedy. Nada.
No one would be willing to spend 5k on furniture they need to replace every three years because of poor quality. When I was sold the plan ,it was presented, in essence, as an extended warranty in case anything went wrong with their product.
I'm incredibly disappointed with Raymour and Flanigan's unwillingness to offer any remedy to their product's failure. They are still selling the same product online, and I can see that I'm not the only individual with this exact same issue and company response.Review fromSarahi M

1 starI purchased furniture in February 2017. I was told by the sales person that if I order the Platinum Protection Plan, my furniture will be protected for as long as I own it. Never mentioned that it was only for five (5) years. I wrote an email to corporate and explained if they would consider extending the protection plan since we were in the middle of the Covid Pandemic and everyone and everything was on lockdown. The leather sofa and love seat I purchased have a manufacturing problem. I spoke to someone and they told me to pay $125.00 and they would send someone over after sending pictures as per their request. I got the appointment for August 1, 2023 and they said they would be there between the hours 8 - 4 pm. I stayed home from work only to get a phone call that after reviewing the photos from my email, there is nothing they can do to fix the sofa arm rest not holding up and the cushion on the seats are totally flat. I was very upset that they made me pay in advance and getting my $125.00 plus tax was a night mare. I had to actually call my credit card company and dispute the charges. The Platinum Plan Protection is a total scam. They also add taxes on delivery. Getting back my money for the protection plan that was not honored would be the right thing to do. I will never buy furniture at Raymour & Flanigan again! I would never recommend purchasing anything from them to friends and family. They did not even have the decency to respond to my email. At least acknowledge a customer that spent almost $5,000.00 on furniture. Very rude and not acceptable!Review fromLucia R

1 starNot only is the furniture POS the customer service is too! The only resolutions they give me is to call the service department and when I do I’m on hold and now I must wait a few days for them to contact me. Meanwhile my bed (adjustable frame is falling apart) and I cannot sleep on it! My love seat I have not been able to sit on since may is still broke and regardless, I am still paying my monthly installments on it all!!! I will NEVER buy from this company again and will tell others NOT to go there as well.
My new life after my divorce and I cannot sleep nor sit on the furniture. Thanks but no thanks to this horrible company
And the star rating should be nothing!
