1 starZERO, Optimum's customer service is terrible. Also very hard to get anyone who speaks English. Literally had my phone number associated with another work order. Technician called me multiple times, running late after I waited my allotted time slot. So after more time I call him and he is no where in my area, said he already came to my home, which no one showed. Called customer service, said I did not know what I was talking about and I had a screen shot from the technician showing someone else name/address. So I make another appointment, three hours into my wait, they called need to reschedule. Billing offered me $10.00 - I took off entire day work, left early the second day and really sorry $10.00, that is a slap in the face. There is no personal touch or understanding with their support who is obviously in another country.Well I still have service that works intermittently and then they say lets try a weekend appointment.Review fromKaramae S

1 starI've been trying to get this company to cancel my account since *******. I called on 5-29-24, 6-04-24 when turned in equipment and was told on 6-11-24, 6-17-24, 6-17-24, & 6-24-24. Kept saying they would disconnect at end of billing cycle with no charges. Get a bill with late charges on 6-27-24. Told me it would get disconnected again, at the end of next billing cycle. On 8-06-24, they sent another past due bill. Told me that the only time it shows a disconnection started and failed back when I first called me. Just received another past due bill from them today, 8-19-23.You better believe that this is in dispute. I told them I wouldn't pay it; when they kept giving me the runaround.I definitely would like to be able to get in touch with the head people in corporate and let them know what their customer service people do to their customers.********************Review fromSamara M

1 starWe're financially hurting so on 8/13/24 I called and asked for help to LOWER my home TV and internet bill. I was offered an unbeatable price of ~$170 per month, which this price supposedly included TV, home internet, and the mobile phone line, WHICH I DIDN'T REALLY EVEN NEED OR WANT, but was told that it was required to have in order to get that price... So I was essentially forced to get a phone that I don't need or want at all... It was also insinuated that the wireless phone would just be another line item added onto my existing bill. It was NEVER explained to me that the mobile phone would be a completely separate account all by itself AND I was never told of any auto draft requirements. I was told about the $40 activation fee, but that it would be credited back within 2 Bill cycles to offset the fee. HOWEVER I was not told that the mobile phone was another $15 per month all by itself, on its own auto draft.... So once again, I was led to believe that $170 would be the cost of EVERYTHING COMBINED on one bill... not the $170 price PLUS another $15 on a completely separate account on auto draft. That was never discussed. The *** that offered this deal basically skipped over all of the important information and immediately went into saying, "Once you receive the phone take it out of the box right away, put in the *** card and follow the instructions to activate it... There was absolutely no mention of any $50 restocking fee in our conversation..... So then when I call to cancel it took nearly two and a half hours between another two ***s across two departments before anyone acknowledged that I actually wanted to cancel and not keep anything. When I call to escalate continually told sorry, there's no way around the restocking fee or the activation fee. Even though I was completely and utterly lied to about all of this they're going to pin me with $90 in fees. I called for help to lower my bill because I'm hurting financially and then they ding me with $90. ********Review fromChris K

1 starto the owners of Optimum internet service in **. DO BETTER! called for support when internet went out. waited on hold for 2hrs, then get to speak to someone in ***** that had me pulling the plugs in and out of my router and modem. she honestly tried very hard to help, despite the language barrier, when i asked for a service call, she said there were ZERO people that could come out to help me. how is this OK? there was a mandate forever around here that forced ******* to keep copper phone lines up so the little old lady at the end of the road had telephone service. now that era is gone and whats next?your internet goes out and thats it... no more internet? this is critical infastructure. water, electricity, internet, etc. you cant allow these people to sit there with their phone off-the-hookReview fromJohnny O

1 starOptimum was a waste of time. I was told by several people that Optimum provided service at my address. I paid for the service along with the fee for the technician to go out there and set up the internet. 1 starZERO RATING...I am literally speechless and I don't even know what to say at this point. First off, they have either canceled, had technician call and says he was running 6 hrs late TWICE, and not booked a re-book that they no-showed me on. I have canceled clients in the 8-11 window 3 times this week alone and have lost significant money because of it. The response every time is "sir we are sorry" or :we promise a technician will be on site". Same ******** every time. I can't get a hold of anyone who speaks english or anyone who can do anything to help. I've had a tech call me Monday and today stating they are on the way and both no showed at all. They have my cellphone # of 30 years under "*********************"...no clue how that is. The tech called me today from a NY # and said he was 5 min away. 1 starAn employee, proceeded to take my card information fraudulently take money out of my account and completely mess up my account with ********************... I canceled the service because of this and now need service again and unfortunately Optimum is the only provider in my area... They have now told me that my account is blocked and that I owe them 500 to 300+ Dollars.... This was back in February of 2024 and supervisor stated it was all fixed now I call August 2024 and they proceeded to tell me that nothing was done and that money is owed in my account and that I cannot get service with them until I pay... I proceeded to explain the situation again with supervisor **** who said he would call me in 2 hours... It is now day 4 and no call from ****... I called again and spoke to ****** AND ****** stated to please tell **** to return my call like he said he would ... Be careful with Optimum employees in ***** because the employee who took my information stated his name was **** and called me from his cellphone to "help" me the supervisor **** had the never to tell me that it was not a Optimum employee... Not sure how that works when I called their customer service and he answered. ******************** gave me so many run arounds... I have spoke to multiple people customer service associates and supervisors in one day which is ridiculous... Optimum needs to be careful outsourcing their employees.. I'm pretty sure the employee is still employed by optimum... Optimum please fix my account I need service and unfortunately you are the only company in my area... 1 starI cut the cable several months ago. Optimum/Altice still billed me for the month after I disconnected. OK. I paid that, it takes time to disconnect. Now they are charging me for "unreturned equipment"but I did return all the equipment. Shoot, one of the cable boxes I returned did not even work. 1 star**************** is horrible Nooo accountability Tell me they're doing me a favor by crediting account I was without service for all of *****.How is that a favor??!!I went through heck and charged a late fee bcuz I had to call to ask fir credits..even though I get texts all the time I'm out of service-it was interrupted Representative said if it's interrupted and not their fault..like ***** then they aren't supposed to issue credits *********** Can someone get me corporates number?I don't usually complain about service being interrupted all the time but now they're calling threatening to cut off my service ..when credits should be automatically applied GET BETTER Optimum
