      We signed a contract with **** to install an HVAC system in our home. We gave the owner **** a bank check with a deposit in the amount of $6,000. The work was scheduled to be done on 5/17/25 & 5/18/25. We received a text message on 5/16/25 in the early evening from **** that he had hurt his back and would not be able to start the work the following day. He said he would come the following weekend to which we stated that it was the Memorial Day weekend and could only accommodate him if he was able to finish the job by 1pm on the Sunday as we had obligations we could not rearrange. After some back and forth it was decided that **** would come on 5/28/25 & 5/29/25 and that either myself or my fiance would take the day off to let him in. We confirmed with **** via text on 5/27/25 and he responded that he would be at our house between 9-10am. By 10:30am on 5/28/25 **** had not arrived. We both texted him several times with no response. ****** phone goes directly to voicemail and we left several messages with no response. I personally left a voicemail letting **** know this was highly unprofessional and that we trusted him with this job and he has been uncommunicative and unprofessional. I further let **** know that we are seeking our deposit back in full as he has failed to uphold his commitment to the contract and the dates we agreed to for the work to be completed on. I also stated that if he did not return our deposit of $6,000 that we would be filing a claim against him to recoup these funds. We have yet to hear back from **** and all other phone numbers associated with this business are disconnected. There is no email to contact him by as well. The only phone number we have is his "pay as you go" phone ************** to which he told us the reason he has this phone now is because Optimum won't change over the original phone line to him. We have used **** before with no issues, so this is a complete shock and loss of trust in him as a business owner.

      He installed central air in my home a few years back. Had problems with it from the time it was installed and he stopped returning our calls and never showed back up and I had two other HV** Companies come in the first one tried fixing it cost me over $1200 and still had problems. a few weeks ago Had another company come in and he figured out the problem. Said the man who installed it put in the wrong condenser that doesnt match the air handler and that is why Im having problems. Told me he would not touch it. They would have to redo the entire system and told me I should sue the Company who did the work unfortunately, I cannot afford lawyer to go to civil court. The last time the system worked it started leaking water through my ceiling into the lights in my kitchen and then blew the fuse and all the wires to the ** unit are fried. So I tried again to contact the original company and he actually picked up the phone and came over here. He said he ended up blocking my ex because he was not nice to him. I wonder why, lol. But since my ex is gone, he will take care of all the work and he will reimburse me for everything as well. He told me he would show up and he never did. He pushed it off for another 10 days and now is ignoring me as well, I hope you can help me, this is a $15,000 approximate disaster. I had to buy portable ** units as well now have leaked onto my bedroom floor and cause damage in there as well thank you so much and advance. I did pay him $6000 originally but when I had a new estimate a few years later, it is now $10,000 and that is not including the damage that was done, other ** companies coming in here and most of all and electrician to take care of all the fried wires
