    On May 15, 2024, I participated in a focus group organized by Advanced Opinions. The focus group centered on the topic of travel, and I was promised a compensation of $125 for my participation.The focus group lasted 90 minutes, and I participated for the entire duration. At the end of the session, Advanced Opinions confirmed that I would receive the compensation within 3 weeks.From May 15, 2024, to the present date, July 23, 2024, I have not received any payment. Request:I am requesting your intervention to help resolve this issue. I would like to receive the promised compensation of $125 for my participation in the focus group.Thank you for your time.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    I participated in a travel focus group for AdvancedOpinions on May 15, 2024. I was explicitly promised $125 compensation for my time . Initially, I was contacted by a recruiter from AdvancedOpinions regarding this focus group and was given the details of the compensation. To date, I have not received any payment. I have repeatedly contacted the recruiter, , regarding this issue. During one recent communication, the recruiter informed me that the client had already paid AdvancedOpinions over 70% of the total payment for the focus group. However, she then stated she did not want to pay me for my time and that she needed the remaining balance from the client before paying me . This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. AdvancedOpinions recruited me for this project and is responsible for ensuring I receive the promised compensation. The recruiter's attempt to shift the responsibility to the client, especially after admitting they've already received a significant portion of the payment, is highly unethical. Given that AdvancedOpinions has already received over 70% of the project funds from the client, there is no justification for withholding my incentive. I fulfilled my obligation by participating in the focus group, and I expect AdvancedOpinions to fulfill theirs by providing the agreed-upon payment immediately. This situation has caused me significant frustration and wasted my time. I request the BBB's assistance in resolving this matter and ensuring I receive the payment I am owed.

    I was recruited for a focus group and was sent the wrong timing .I'm in pacific time zone and they sent me the login for eastern time zone. They have my entire home address from the screener , even the person who contacted me after agreed that it was a mistake and my information was put incorrectly but the recruiter. I asked them to compensate me since it wasn't my fault and they never responded. When you recruit someone you have to send the correct time zone but not once they send me that it was at 12:30 pst. I don't live on the east coast and don't know what it converts to pacific.I'd like to be compensated for the issue occurred.
