**************************** of *******, ** hired Long Island ********************************************* Corp. to complete a series of masonry projects on our property. The project in dispute is the repair of the front office stoop, which presented serious concern almost immediately. Prior to the stoop repairs, a Church volunteer power-washed the stoop, after being contacted directly by **************** and asked to do so. This was to ensure the ** Mason crew had a clean surface to complete the repairs. Between the power-washing being completed and ** Masons work commencing, the stoop did not exhibit any new, major discoloration. Within a day of ** Masons work being completed, however, the stoop had severe discoloration, noticeable from several feet away. Any existing discoloration had not been addressed as we had believed it would. There were also cracks that were either filled in improperly or not at all. Our Parish administrator attempted to contact **************** several times through phone and email, which went mostly unanswered. Eventually, the following message was received: You need to call me for explanation. You have efflorescence on the bricks. It has nothing to do with my work. They were like that after you powerwashed Stoop is now safeThe Churchs reply for a suggestion on how this damage could be repaired was not answered. Consequently, the Church has now had two independent and unaffiliated masons confirm that:1. it is impossible for power-washing to cause the damage seen on the stoop; 2.the discoloration on the stoop is clearly caused by a buildup of excess concrete and mortar; 3.the damage on the stoop is a direct result of the negligence of ** Masons crew when applying said products; 4.the cracked brick and stone that ** Mason was contracted to repair was not done effectively.****** Lutheran sent a warning of our BBB complaint to ** Mason, which went unanswered. We seek for ** Mason to properly repair our damaged stoop, or to provide a full refund of $2,500.
