I hired a general contractor, David P**** because of his unprofessional manner (harassment), I fired him on August 12, 2022. On this day, I told him specifically for the third time that I only wanted to work with contractors that took credit cards because the work that had been done by his subcontractors was unacceptable. Erin S******* called me on October 20th three times and in a recorded message said that she had no idea who I was and that a $3350 needed to be taken care of (noting that I have never signed off on any work) or they were going to take down the gutters. I called her back and she was extremely rude threatening to trespass with cops. I received my first bill on 10/24 and it was postmarked 10/21 and due 10/2. I sent a nice text saying I needed a corrected and itemized bill (because they didn’t do 1/3 of the job). They respond that they were sorry do an employees poor behavior (a lie it was the owner writing the letter) and that the error was computer generated, not corrected and the itemization was indecipherable. I also informed them that my lawyer was on vacation for the next two weeks. Following my lawyers return, I was hospitalized for ER surgery and had three blood transfusions (over 15 appts starting 9/15 and last transfusion on 11/10 then sick kids also involving medical attention). On December 2, after not receiving a corrected bill, I sent a notarized letter stating that there was no trespassing and was willing to pay an accurate bill. They continued to threaten to take down the gutters and my lawyer explained to them that once affixed it became real property. He tried to but she was too rude and wouldn’t stop screaming and threatening him. We have offered to pay 2500 via credit card and they are unwilling to even though there is nothing in their contract(that I never signed)saying that don’t take credit cards. They are now threatening to file a mechanic lien on my property which would destroy my very good credit. Please help me in this matter.

    Business Response

The person that made this complaint ,is not mentally stable and I have spoken with numerous people that can attest to that . This statement is full of lies and I am sorry that she felt the need to do this because she couldn’t pay her bill . I have legal counsel dealing with this matter and if this is what she wants to do to try and sabotage our company than so be it . We have hundreds of wonderful compliments over the 20 plus years we’ve been business ,we won’t let one upset customer ruin it . thank you  Begors

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I am mentally sound and find their comments to be 100% unjustified and defamatory. They charged me for wedges and never put a single wedge up. They are not decent people. They threatened multiple times to put a lien on my house despite my willingness to pay an accurate bill. It’s my opinion that after settling and then acknowledging that they didn’t do the work and did overcharge me 1000k-they shouldn’t be able to operate a businesses and they definitely aren’t qualified to speak to my mental capabilities. My lawyer can speak to their instabilities and unprofessional behavior. thank you for your time and consideration.
    Regards,
