On Wednesday, April 12, 2023 a check that was deposited into my Chase account, placed the account on a restriction. I contacted Chase, they advised that because the check was in my mother's name, both her and I would need to come into a local branch, with two forms of identification for her to remove the restriction. During that phone call, I was never informed that there was a certain amount of time that would be allotted to me to get to the branch, I was just advised to go into a branch with my mother. On Friday, April 14, 2023, both my mother and I went into the branch with the requested documents, however, prior to going into the branch, I learned that the account was closed, I contacted customer service once again. They instructed me a second time, to have both my mother and I go into to the branch with the supporting verification documents, to have the account reopened, the restriction lifted, and the funds accessible to me. After doing this, the banker advised that all of this would take place within the next 30 minutes to 1 hour. At 1:09 PM CST, I once again, checked the account, the account was still closed. After placing several calls to Chase customer service, I was told that the account was closed and a check was being mailed to me. At that time, I learned that the check that was being mailed to me, was significantly smaller than the original check. On April 1, 2023, when the check was deposited, there was a negative balance of 68.02, about two days later, there was a negative balance of 182.11 roughly. Which at that time, but the check amount at $10,100 roughly, however, after speaking with the bank representative the check was being mailed for $9000. At which time, I tried to get her to see, how was it possible that the check is short $1000 when the account was not negative by that much. I would like to be refunded my entire check that was deposited at this time, for the inconsistencies provided and the missed expectations from a company such as Chase.Business Response

JP Morgan Chase, in connivance with perpetrators facilitated an overseas wire transfer from my account in the sum of $2,610.00. Chase :
1. Changed my email address on record and did not notify / update me of the change
2. Changed my phone number on record on record and did not notify / update me of the change
3. Changed the accounts password on record and did not notify / update me of the change
4. Facilitated unauthorized overseas wire transfer and did not notify / update me
5. Etc.
Obviously, without Chase employees direct involvement this could not have happened. In times of banking fraud, this appears to be one where Chase is directly involved.

On April 14,2023 at 5:41 pm I went to Chase Bank located at **** ****** ****** ****** ** *****, I used the ATM machine to make a cash deposit for the amount of $3500. The atm machine took my cash and printed out a receipt that read to be sure your deposit went through please call us atb8*********** I immediately called no cash was deposit into my account I then spoke to someone who transferred me to the claims department. The man took all my information filled the claim and I was told it would take 48 hours I called today April 14, 2023 and spoke to a man who said the claim has to April 26, 2023, to be finalized, I explained to the man that I need to pay a bill and it's important that this get done this is a large amount I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told the supervisor wasn't going to do anything about this matter That I had to wait until someone can go to the Atm machine to check, I find it unprofessional that I just have to sit and wait until someone goes to do a count of the ATM machine before I can receive my funds when I have bills to pay. Chase Manhattan, has allowed fraudulent transactions to progress. Even with Police, Federal, and video evidence submitted refuting the transaction. They are not able to take police, or federal statements. They have informed me they cannot take signed government affidavits. They basically won't take anything that allows for a refutation of the transaction. They have said there was facial and device ID accessed, however, the video evidence (Security cameras) refutes this as no cell phones are permitted on the premises due to government nature. The transaction is also a noticeably fraudulent. I have some recordings of the escalation team but was then told I was not allowed to record them admitting there looked like something was wrong but couldn't do anything about it.Business Response

They informed me that official documentation and photo/video evidence from the police saying the fraud was occurring was not acceptable. Therefore, if they cannot take documentation that they are wrong, they are allowing fraudulent activity to progress. I have also forwarded their responses to the police and referenced names and the recording of the interaction.

I found 3 fraudulent charges on my checking account from the company with many names *** ********** *** *********** ******

a company that in BBB has many complaints for charging costumers with an unauthorized membership monthly fee.
I explained that to the complainant agents I’ve sooken to and to a supervisor called ****** Chase believed this merchants lies and failed to investigate further. They closed the claim before giving me the chance to provide proof of receipts and emails of what I actually purchased and what I actually received.
Purchase date was 12/14/2022 for $23.79
I didn’t even received my order complete but I left it at that because I at least received half of was was agreed upon and it was during Christmas time.
After that I got charged $32.55 in total for a membership I never agreed to pay for. The charges where on

$10.85 on Mar 14/23
Then is when I contacted Chase to dispute those charges.

On 1/21/22 I withdrew $60 from a Chase Bank ATM at the 2500 Mission Street, SF, CA location. I checked my account a few days later and saw an additional $900 missing from my checking account. There were 3 additional transactions, $400, $400, $100 that were not made by me. I filed a claim with Chase' fraud department and was later denied reimbursement claiming that since the ATM code was entered, it was a legitimate transaction.
They refuse to look at ATM camera footage that shows I did not withdraw the money. I followed up with the branch manager she confirmed it is a major problem at her location and to file a police report with SFPD and she will help reopen the claim. It was denied a 2nd time. A few weeks later after my claim denial a news report came out about that same location and other customers who have had the same experience. Criminals are using a flaw in Chase's ATM chip scan feature to capture customer information and steal money from our accounts. ******************************************************************** I have filed my claim with Chase and it has been reopened and closed 4 times. I have yet to be reimbursed and other victims advised me to follow up here.
I request Chase reviews the ATM footage to confirm I did not make the transactions.Business Response

On April 11, 2023 I contacted Chase bank regarding a refund from merchant. I was initially told that if the refund was issued by the merchant the funds would have been available immediately. I was assessed an overdraft fee of 34 dollars on April 12, and called and spoke to a rep named ******** and requested a supervisor he put me on hold and no supervisor came on, where is my money- the bank blames the merchant the merchant blames the bank which is absurd.Business Response

Chase bank is allowing false information to be provided on online banking. It is been happening for years. When I look at my credit journey through Chase bank online banking it says my credit score is almost 700 when that is a complete lie. I have emailed them multiple times to correct this information. I want them to correct this information they have a legally held my money and illegally portrayed a credit score that is not accurate, which is illegal and I want compensation for it. On February 13 2023, I deposited 3 checks and 4 money orders amounting to about $7,000. At the end of February I realized the 7 checks have not been deposited so I told the bank to open a case, a month later the 3 checks were found but the 4 money orders werent. I talked to the manager who was in charge about this issue, he was very rude and irresponsible, he told us to just cancel the money orders but those cost $60 to do so, and they were lost by the bank so they should be held responsible.Business Response
