      American express has recently went downhill both with service quality and the customer service. Not a great credit card anymore!

      Obviously, ** (American Express) does not care about their customers. I charged $780 for four nights at the *********************, (******). I chose this hotel because of it's shuttle service. On Sept. 9 the shuttle was not available due to maintenance.I asked the hotel clerk for a credit for the cost of **** to **** and she said no. Due to my dispute not fitting ** criteria; I called and ** put me on hold for a eternity, so I hung up. Next day chatted with ** ********** inefficient. After ******************************************************* 7-14 days ro give me a *********** day I find out the ** *** incorrectly disputed the total charge. The following day chat with ** and finally get correct credit. Wasted over 1 hr. to dispute **** charge due to no shuttle available

      To whom it may concern,I am unpleasantly surprised by the actions of your company. To reduce my credit limit without a history of any late/ missed payments, and to ignore the fact that I often make payments early is insulting! If there was a concern, I should have been notified before any action was taken, but to reduce my limit without provocation is not customer friendly. Also by doing so, it could be harmful to my credit score. This is simply a poor way of handling your clients.Not happy,Dr. ******

      Absolute garbage company: fees are high, customer service is abysmal, doesn't work at many places and so many other reasons. Stay away from this terrible organization.

      It's okay, you can leave home without it. Fewer and fewer merchants are accepting this card and from what I understand it is because they charge merchants more than other companies. This is my primary card which I use for rewards but find the rewards are being limited and the charges are only increasing.

      Where to even start. After losing my bag in ***** I have to deal with your trusted partner ********** for an entire day in *****************. Rude associates that always point you to another rude useless associate or phone number. It took me an entire day at the airport to find my own bag! On my way back from ***** to ******* my destination MSY closes due to hurricane ********. I login to your chat and ask if you cover hotels after explaining the situation and your chat associate initially tells me they will cover a hotel reservation only to say their shift is over. This takes 1.5 hours and all he accomplished was passing me off to another associate who now says they cant do this for me. During this process they are rude uninformed and unresponsive. Wasting so much of my time thats its not even worth it to get a room and no im sleeping next to my terminal because my flight is in 8 hours. I decided to bring this up to a manager. Definitely another massive mistake. To expect anything less than terrible service from ***** is a mistake. ****** and her team of 6 that were doing nothing in international baggage in *** between customs and security. They are rude, passive aggressive, direct aggressive, or completely dismissive. Im 40 and the eye rolls and patronizing looks upset me so much I had to calm down for an hour before approaching another manager who directed me to your help line. After waiting for 1.5 hours for a call back the guy on the phone was nice but could only offer me miles or a window seat. Are you serious Delta?! I just recieved my American Express Gold miles card and was excited to try ***** because youre billed as a premium service. What a massive ********** short, Dont get a Gold Delta Amex Sky Miles Card. Dont fly Delta or **********. Definitely avoid the *********** as much as possible! Dont expect ***** or its partners to be there when theyre when you need them.

      I was a customer for years. Never missed a payment before I had brain fog and one time I was 6 days late. The moment I remembered I got online to make a payment. The company had already sent me to collections. I understand I was 6 days late. This company was so rude. Even their customer service team was confused on why I was sent to collections and couldnt give me an answer on why. My other cards all remain in good standing. American Express ruined my great credit score I worked hard to achieve. Eight years with this company. Stay away!!!

      I have been a loyal customer fro years. I was late by making a payment by one day. They charged me a $40 late fee and $200 in interest fess. My husband called and a manger called him back 36 hours later at 8:39 PM at night. She said she would wave the late fee and to call back when I got my next ************ felt like I was playing "lets make a deal". Was told that they could not wave the late fee but could give me a $324 statement credit after spending $3000. I asked why can't you just wave the fee instead and make it easy? Why do I have spend $3000 and wait 8-12 weeks for a statement credit? It was very odd phone call and nothing like i would expect like American Express. ***** needs to be made aware of these complaints,

      I have to agree with the review that says American Express does not care about their customers. They DO NOT! Been a cardholder for 15 years and the customer service used to be top tier but now it is horrible. American Express does not care about the hardworking middle class and working class American citizens.Its a shame of what this company has become. Good luck also if you ever file a dispute, because **** DOES NOT investigate. They do not even look at any information that you may submit towards your case. In most cases it gets tossed out and they will immediately side with the merchant even if youve been scammed. There was a time I provided numerous amounts of documentation to them regarding a merchant who basically scammed me and never sent my order and was not responding to my emails. **** rebilled my account and wood not provide me my credit although it showed that the item was never delivered as well as the tracking would say in transit. I could not believe my eyes. So I am now trying to fight to get my money back and **** does not have their customers best interest at heart.And when you call in; depending on the department you get, most of the agents do not know how to do their job and will tell you misleading information.

      Their dispute service is horrible the company did not even give an accurate return address and American Express does not investigate it when it is a scam company from *****. American Express use to be great with scam companies but they are not good anymore. They do not care about their customers.
