      Municipal Credit Union is by far one of the worst financial institutions I have ever dealt with. I was with them for 15 years, and it was a nightmare. From customer service to their dispute department and loan services. I tried my best to stay loyal, but when my account was compromised on three different occasions, costing me $700 within a year, and they told me there was nothing they could do about it, I knew it was time to leave

      I've been with the **********. The last 2 yrs they've had absolutely horrid service. Like all other complaints I received a fraud service alert. However, I notice these tend come on the weekend towards the end of the month when billing is done in banks (playing catch up). They send the text with coded payee information and ask did you authorize? 1. I don't know the code. 2. Why ask after you've already paid them? 3. I say no and they permanently block the card. You have to go to a location or wait 10 days for a new card. Since March 31st my online access was blocked due to fraud. I spoke with a *** and they said someone would call within the week to help set it back up... it's June 2nd. All their answers to every issue is to go to the local MCU, yet they can read, block and freeze your account online with no problem. The average time in an MCU location is 2 to 5hrs. They've also removed offices and your conversation is in an open floor plan for all to her. Every number is a variation of the main number; You cannot reach any supervisors or officers at any location, only online. The workers themselves have no info on how to reach them. Best part, I called the fraud **** and they can't help me, I have to go to a location to restore my online account and or get a new card. Oh, the number I would call to get my card restored from being blocked, they told me they no longer service my account and I have to deal with a branch. It's intentional

      Came to the MCU Location in ******* to finalize my car loan . Been here since 10am getting the Run around,it is now 4:10pm, travel is lowest I ever seen in a bank. Branch Manager ********* ********* seen me here since 10am and when asked for his assistance due to the errors being made,he told me a *** will be with you soon . He seen me in the branch for over 5 hours and not one time did her get concerned or ask me whats the issue or check in with the ***resentative working with me to see what a issue was. The is the absolute worst experience I ever had with anything in my life. As a NYC employee this is horrible. Please re-train ********* ********* since I think he forgot without us customers he wouldnt have a Job. This is horrible ! Worst customer service I ever got in my life.only reason why Im giving this experience 1 star is because I have to select one.definitely a 0 star experience . Got to branch at 10:16am, I am still currently sitting in lobby at 4:16pm with the branch manager ********* ********* just walking around,He even went out and got coffee. Didnt ask one 1 question

      I was a customer of ********************** for ** years. When I retired and moved out of state, I called MCU one day to let them know that I was advised of a data breach that could affect me. I asked if they could please monitor my account to make sure that no one attempted to access it fraudulently. MCU said they would do so. They also said that I would have full access to my account at all times. However, they proceeded to promptly lock me out of my own account. They refused to help me even though I had proof of my identity. They told me that I had to visit them in person and change my account number. After many frustrated conversations with MCU that led nowhere. So, I decided to fly to MCU and cut all ties with them by closing my account. It's a shame because I used to love MCU. It seems like their policy is to just not care anymore.

      I have been with this credit union for 10 years in those ten years 7 of them I was city employed and had every check go into this account. Not once have I ever had an issue with any funny business and I can count on one hand how many times I even had an overdraft. As of this year a faulty fraud check was given to me and I deposited it into my account and it came back. I was notified and I explained I was scammed and that I did. It know obviously that it was fraud. MCU restricted my account and has put my account in the negative due to the fraud check even tho I never received the funds. I have been meeting with different ppl since the end of November and no one has answers for me and telling me to wait. I finally got an appointment with the banks regional fraud departments assistant supervisor and she scheduled my appointment on her day off its been over 30 days!!!!! MCU would have you in the street pan handling before they gave a rats ssa about their customers who have our money in their bank !!!!!

      Terrible customer service. They locked my card for "fradulent" transaction even though I confirmed it was me who made the transaction. It's 9 days before Christmas and they said it's nothing they can do about it. There way of resolving the issue is to mail me a new card in 7-10 business days. They're useless. And customer service barely can speak English which is even more frustrating. I'll take my business elsewhere. I'm screwed because now I can't get anything for my kids for christmas and they dont seem to care at all. Locking my card after confirming it's me who made the purchase! Extremely frustrating.

      Banked with MCU for over 20 years with no issues. The past 3 years have been a dumpster fire with them. I go into the credit union on Hylan Blvd and get the runaround by people I wouldn't even hire to pick up dog waste out of my yard. I call on the phone press 9 to speak to a teller and it just takes me back to the original menu over and over again. I honestly hate MCU these days. Single digit IQ imbeciles who are zero help and make my life more difficult. I think my best bet is to find a new bank and pray very bad things happen to MCU.

      For over 30 years I used to really love this bank but now I dont! Its absolutely disgraceful what this bank has become after their restructuring, its really horrible. They used to be attentive and helpful to their customers needs, now they seem to only do everything in their power NOT to provide assistance.Their exhausting security clearance is a real impediment to receiving information on your own account, which they justify as protecting me, while not aiding their customers. Apparently, the new CEO isnt interested in providing professionalism, good customer to their clients. ********************** used to be a really great bank many years ago and it is sad to see that it is no longer what they once were to their customers. Ive been threatening to leave this institution for some time now, this time Im really leaving as I cannot tolerate the total disrespect, disregard, lack of professionalism and lackadaisical attitude of their telephone and other representatives have any longer.

      MCU is the worst. They will lie to you to get you take out a loan. They told me I had employment loss protection, now when I lose my job the collections agency of MCU told me with a nasty attitude they they probably lied to me to get me to take out the loan. How ridiculous is that? Now this socalled protection doesn't exist and they are acting like I made it up in my mind. The customer service is THE WORST. THESE NIGROS THAT WORK THERE ARE SOME OF THE NASTIEST WOMEN YOU WILL TALK TO. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MCU. If I could give them a negative rating I would. Run from the institution. It's a joke and they take you as a joke.

      Bronx MCU is the worst bank ever. Waiting 3 hours for a resent bank statement, (not available online), to fine out they couldn't print it, ... I will have to call corporate. I also notice how they let customers/friends skip lines, even to see a customer offering lunch money to the front hostesses while they bring him his blank checks. ******************** an employee there , helped her friend/customer skip the long line at the teller, giving the appearance of new accountee SMH. Slow, unprofessional and nonchalant attitude is greatly disappointing.
