      My claim was denied 3 weeks into my 8 week treatment plan. The claim manager never called my MD or my therapist -which both ************** time off for 30 days. I contacted MetLife to provide their information and constantly paid phone tag with my assigned manager. Currently requesting an appeal. Its been a total headache going through HRT /psycho therapy after cancer surgery.

      Very poor customer service. Send wrong forms, continually get transfered, no one seems to know what they are doing. Very hard to understand the English they are speaking. I do not believe anyone I spoke with is a licensed insurance agent. People at their homes answering phones with background ************** So unprofessional.

      My husband has critical care insurance with MetLife through his employer. I was diagnosed with cancer and the *********** has ************** bladder be removed. We contacted our insurance to help with our critical care. They have stalled and stonewalled us requesting the same documents we have sent over and over. During the last four months we have sent them nearly 100 documents from two hospitals and five doctors. We had all release documents signed from MetLife and hospitals and every doctor and followed up making sure they were sent. Everyone here has the same story about the records too. I agree with the person who wrote they probably will be dealing with a class action lawsuit soon. It a shame full way to treat your customers especially ones who are going through so much already.

      While we appreciate your frustrations over the claim process, your claim was completed in the allowed time frame given. MetLife cannot review and process the claim until all necessary documentation is received. Your claim has since been processed.

      Absolute WORST!! My employer goes through MetLife for all leaves and disability claims and I can't for any reason fathom why they continue to work for such a poorly run, under trained company. I initially had to take a leave back in July due to being in a very poor mental state. I was at my breaking point being around people, unable to function normally and at a very debilitating point emotionally, physically, and mentally. I filed my claim July 25, went back to work at my 6 week ***** I knew going into this from hearing about others experiences it was not going to be a fast process whatsoever. Most co workers of mine don't receive any of there back pay until they have returned to work, as one lump some, due to MetLife taking so long to wrap up there claim. My personal situation ended up leading into some serious physical issues for myself and some had even begun before taking my leave, so when it came time for me to return to work I chose to add an extension onto my leave for another 6 weeks. Now mind you I did fax my paperwork in to them at around the 4 week **** due to having to find the right therapist (and struggling to find one in my area even willing to take a new patient). I have since gone round and round with this company because for one, I have yet to speak to my claim manager, this ****s, I think week 10. Two, there so called customer service is an absolute joke. A JOKE! I have been lied to on too many occasions to count, I have had other customer services employees tell me how poorly trained all the new staff is and no one was imputing my requests, questions, or information in correctly. I was continuously told they need further documentation from my therapist and that they had attempted on many occasions to send it to her and she would tell me she wasn't receiving a thing from them and absolutely no communication from them at all. I'd love to be able to share my whole story but am limited. Thanks for nothing and for worsening my mental state. Disgusted

      MetLife pet insurance is a joke ! I got this in order to provide the best care possible for my dog . Last April she was at Medvet in ******** due to a toxic poisoning from medication my cat knocked on the floor . She was treated for that there and was fine after . I decided to get pet insurance after because that was a very stressful situation both emotionally and financially. I even told the representative the situation when purchasing the policy . This year 2022 she had. A couple isolated issues with Gastroenteritis and was seen by my local vet . **** denied both claims claiming preexisting . My vet even wrote a letter saying that these two incidents were unrelated to last April .. **** will fight you and not pay anything. This has done nothing for me but add to my stress .my dog is a schnauzer and they are prone to GI issues .. I once recommended MetLife but I will no longer do so .. I am very frustrated with this insurance company and the claims department.. There is also nobody you can speak to in the actual claims department. I would avoid them at all costs when looking for insurance for your babies . **** dont care about the customer they just want to take your $$ but not pay when you need it .

      PET INSURANCE IS A JOKE!!! -- DO NOT BUY THIS INSURANCE FOR YOUR PETS. They down-right lie to you about coverages and convince you to buy their plan based on incorrect and inappropriate selling information. I am completely disgusted and dissatisfied and will be cancelling my policies immediately THEY ARE CROOKS! I have to give a rating of "1" - it should be a ZERO!

      Worst insurance ever. dont ever take this, I regret it already. they denied my dental claim because I didn't goto a dentist in 2020 when there was covid. They did not consider that as an exception. Who would take the risk to goto a dentist when covid was at its peak?

      I have MetLife for pet insurance and it is a joke. They claim everything is pre existing when my dog has literally never had anything to do with it in her life. I would never use any of their products as it is a scam. I would of rather lit the money I paid them on fire. Please Im begging you to never use this company, worst pet insurance I have ever seen!!!

      This company is terrible. We have them for dental insurance through my husbands employer. The dentist I went to for years finally quit accepting them as in network because he said he spent so much time submitting claims, resubmitting claims, providing everything they require, then providing it again and sometimes a third time. He finally said, No more. So now Im at another dentist, got the four crowns that BOTH dentists said I needed and MetLife has determined theyre not necessary and refuse to pay. TERRIBLE company, TERRIBLE insurance, TERRIBLE coverage. You may as well not have insurance. RUN from this company if you have any choice at all!!!

      This company lies. They claimed I sent them an empty envelope. Then I got an email saying they found all my paperwork and that they were reviewing my claim to only email once more saying that I sent them an empty envelope and they have closed my claim. I will be cancelling my policy with this company. I don't nickel and dime any company for anything. I thought my dog was protected when I bought him pet insurance. I strongly recommend this company to be shut down.
