      I have a hospital indemnity plan through my employer. Their website is no help. Most of the time it is not working correctly. Cant upload documents to their site. Currently I am on hold waiting to speak to a *** on progress. I have submitted our claims ***** times. They need more documentation. Overall bad communication. Takes weeks for their company to send out the letter of what is needed ( example: the first letter sent out was dated Jan 9th, postmarked Jan 14th, received, mail on 1/22/25. Called for a status update as nothing is on the website. Still pending and waiting .

      I have had several plans through my employer for years and have had no issues until recently. I can usually only access the website 1x daily and actually see all of my plans and claims. The system shows one of the recent claims was paid, however no documents have been generated. I don't know if it was truly paid, or if additional info is needed. I called CS and after several issues trying to load my policy and account info, I was advised it is still in review, even though on my end it said paid and had an updated date. I also advised it is showing under documents a note regarding a different employer, which is not my employer. I called tech support as well. No explanation why my plan is referring to another employer. I've taken screenshots. I'm so confused why everything is not loading correctly on the site and claims are taking so long to process. Is it possible there is something wrong with my account?

      ****** had chosen another company during her registration and later added the current employer. I removed the incorrect company and advised her to log in. She responded she is able to see everything she wanted to see via her email. We are considering the matter closed

      Horrible company to do business with. We filed a claim for short-term disability with MetLife, and 67 days later we are still waiting for the claim to be approved. When you call their number, all you get is a call center. They take notes of the conversation (sometimes), but no one is reading the notes. We've been told twice that it is approved, but the next day it's back to a pending status. They keep asking for information that is completely irrelevant to the claim. At this point we are ready to hire a lawyer.

      They are a scam I will not refer them to anyone very unprofessional do not give the proper details information to customers dont follow up with updates are anything 1 being horrible 10 being great a a 0 off the scale will not recommend in a taking money out of your check each month they said they will help and did not left me in my family with any hope what so ever and while i was processing my claim cause I was disabled now my job spectrum fired me while my claim was in process so no job are help after my surgery is crazy

      This is a terrible company for retirement plans. I have an annuity with them when they bought out General American. Id it almost impossible to get them to pay you out. There third party administration has sent them my approval three times. Ive been working three months on getting my payment. Now they want me to mail them my original copy of my policy. No way. Not sure Ill ever get my money. Its also hardly earned anything. Use mutual funds instead. Same amount of money over the same period earned 100 times more. Annuities are not a good longterm investment. This company is the worst.

      These people are thrives, my mother had a life insurance policy with MetLife for years. Her account showed face value of $*****.00 and death benefit of $53,000. When we called to report her passing they confirmed the dollar amount. The day I received notice that they were sending a check for &*****. I logged onto the account and the $53000. Figure is gone. I called MetLife and no one can explain anything. I have print out of the policy showing the death benefit of $53000. I am consulting an attorney over this. If you have MetLife life insurance you better watch out. They are thieves.

      Nothing but trouble in trying to get my father's LTC insurance paid for. I don't know how many different ways they need to see the monthly invoice from the facility, but they seem to have trouble paying in any kind of timely manner. We finally had to send a certified letter to create a document trail as recommended by an elder law attorney. I would never do business or recommend this company to anyone.

      Where do I begin! I have literally been working to get an insurance claim paid for OVER a year. Smile doctors and myself have explained to them that the ortho office is PERMANENTLY closed and the checks should go to the billing department in ******. Each time they keep reissuing the check to the wrong address! Finally in Jan smile doctors received the payment for ****** because it was sent to the Dallas address as advised! However they sent the ****** to the wrong address AGAIN! I have called and called until Im tired! Smile doctors told me the claim form has the correct billing address so they are not understanding what MetLife is doing!!! Im getting fed up! Smile doctors owe me the 915 so of course they are tired of me calling!!! If smile doctors dont receive my payment by the end of this month I will be sending a letter to the CEO! I have some many **** saying they will call me back or they should get it in 14 days. Then I call back and they confirm it was sent to ********* AGAIN! I need a competent representative to work on this!!!

      I have a critical illness claim that has said pending since 12/23/2004. I have been told 7-10 business days repeatedly. as well as spoken to a few supervisors for escalation. This is for a critical illness claim because if a heart attack. Im not sure what y do. I currently have no heat because of a desperate need of hvac repair, & my mortgage is late. I unfortunately have gotten behind because I was out of work b/c of above mentioned heart attack. My situations helpless, and they have no moral compass to even care, or do what was promised.
