I agree with ***** *. Horrible company. I have had a similar issue, at this point if claim agents can not properly review and read over documentation. I am ready to also write letter to my attorney general and seek legal counsel because all the information is clearly in-front of them. PT provider and I have sent over information requested. My primary provider even has gone out of there way to write a letter because they did not receive documentation from NYL. This is not right. This is our benefit that we pay into and this is not fair to be dealing with this while we are out of work. We have the right to our payments. I don’t need a review reply from NYL here. I would be happy to talk to a manager. If NYL is reading these reviews, clearly you know as a company you have to do better. It’s not just one claimant stating this it’s more than a handful. As a leader in my current company, I definitely do not want my staff to ever deal with this type of service.

We regret the poor claim experience ************** has had with our company. As of December 9, 2022, ****************** claim was extended for benefits through January 9, 2023. She was notified of this decision by letter and phone call dated December 9, 2022.

They delay your money. You have to call and stay on them that they have received documents. You can ask for automatic debit but they sent my disability check late not certified so of course it’s lost. This is about a month after submitting paperwork. I was unaware of automatic deposit and they sure are not offering up that info freely. We get this through the **** ********** ***** and will be sharing my experience with all private veterinary groups and ****. Cancelling this policy at beginning of new year. Definitely not how to treat customers that have paid for years.

      FMLA process:
      Before delivery:
      1. Promised call backs from agent- none received.
      2. Left voice messages on leave manager *****’s voice mailbox- no call backs.
      3. Places on hold for 60 mins with no agent answering calls.
      4. Paperwork for FMLA arrived less than a week before its due date.
      After delivery:
      5. Called after delivery to provide information to start FMLA. Promised a call back in one week for questions that are unanswered .
      6. No call back ( as usual ) the following week thus i called to check on status of leave and was inform they did not have all the information needed for my leave. ( despite me calling and providing them information a week prior )
      7. Leave approved for only 6 weeks instead of 12 weeks ( by state law ) but company did not reach out to me to inform me of this ! ( no call , no email. No letter )
      8. New leave manager assigned- ******* - her voice mailbox is full. Unable to leave message.
      9. There’s no easy way to file a complaint in their Website.
      Consequence :
A very stressed out pregnancy lady before birth and unnecessary stress dealing with this company after birth with a newborn!
Maternity leave time spent dealing with this company instead of with child.
      This company has display:
      Unprofessionalism
      Proven to be dysfunctional.
      Lack of understanding
      Unreliability
      Mom in healthcare.

I have not been able to return to work since mid-September due to the problems caused by prolonged covid, but this insurance company has not given any clear answer about my situation. Due to financial problems, I tried to return to work twice, but my employer did not accommodate me. I have called at least a hundred times and sent many emails and medical records to ****************** benefits solution, but I still do not get a clear answer about what to do when the employer does not accommodate me. The phone answering system is very long and sometimes the connection is disconnected in the middle of the phone call. Also, each advocate gives a different answer when I have a question about a case. I feel that my medical conditions are not important for this company and by not responding to my situation, they are trying to indirectly force me to force my doctor to return me to work without any restrictions, considering that my salary have been stopped since September.

My father paid close to $70/month into a life insurance policy with AARP for well over 20 years. In Aug 2022 he received a letter stating the cash-out value of the policy was between **** and **** dollars. He passed away in Oct. I submitted a claim, and they say there was no coverage.Do not fall for this AARP scam of life insurance, who knows how much money is being robbed thru monthly premiums with this company.

I've been out since September 21st since I had a c-section for my second baby. This was planned so I started the process a few weeks before I was actually no longer working. It took 8+ weeks to get approved. Now it's been 2 weeks and I still haven't received any kind of payment. I call every day multpli3 times a day and no one ever answers or calls me back. The recording always says my case manager is helping another guest, but then I don't ever get a call back. I'm not sure what else to do at this point. Very disappointed in their service.

I am beyond frustrated. Ive had no communication from New York Life. No one answers the phone and the voicemails and emails go unreturned. They reached out once while I was in the hospital undergoing surgery and they denied my claim because I couldnt answer. They do not care about their customers but only the company they represent and not paying out. It doesnt seem like a very honest company and it doesnt seem like they actually care about anything outside of their interests.

I have actually given up trying to obtain my benefits any longer. I have never worked with such a disappointing company. I don't even know how they stay in business.
