      I dont even one to put one star. They are the worst company to EVER deal with! I have been out of work for months, mainly due to my mental health. Stress is not good for me and sends me into a downward spiral. New York Life has asked me for my psychiatrists paperwork for over a month! Every time my psychiatrist sends it, they say they dont get it. I sent it to them myself with Email receipts, a phone call saying they DID receive the email (she didnt see it at first she said - she had to scroll through the emails because there were so many) The next thing I know, I got letters saying they still havent received the paperwork! I sent it over and over they keep saying they havent received it. They also want notes from my therapist. These notes do not have ANY medical information in them at all (see HIPPA) Theyre just private conversations! My therapist said she doesnt send these notes to them, my psychiatrist said I cannot work and so did my PCP. Also my rheumatologist said, she doesnt recommend I dont work, I just cant work with customers. My other doctors who are just starting to see me ( I have to see a neuropsychologist in February 2025) they can only send office visit notes. I have received 3 letters from them in the last 2 weeks. One said they didnt have ANY of my office notes, I called those office and they all said they sent notes. The other said they didnt receive my psychiatrists paper work or therapists AGAIN! Even though they told me they DID receive them on July 9th plus I have the email receipts. And yesterday the same thing. We have been out of groceries and toiletries, had to go to a food bank (which we have never done!) our power & other utilities are also about to be turned off, I CANT EVEN AFFORD MEDICATIONS THAT I NEED!!! I told all of this to my caseworker, but nooo they keep dragging their feet! We do not have anyone that can help us!

      I've had several issues with NYL within the last 10 years. However, it's time for a change. I had surgery over 2 1/2 months ago. I filed before my surgery about month and a half because they take so long. I sent over the form stating my prediction for surgery during that process of filing. After surgery I sent in the discharge papers to show proof of my surgery. At the end of nearly 2 months they sent letter stating I had been approved for *** but my STD is still pending and the are still trying to reach out to my doctor for medical records for the nurse to complete a decision. The office completed the forms they requested but it wasn't good enough for their decision. Now like always NYL stalls. I have made several complaints to the company before. They apologize but don't change their policies or concepts to how they treat customers who pay for these services. I had a tear in my hip. How dare they deny me the ability to cover treatment for my recovery. How dare you allow a single mom to provide food and necessities for my child. Most Americans are struggling with this economy today. How dare this billion dollar company delay service for months to families that pay them for coverage. Who covers all of the late fees and interest rates due to the negligence? Shame on you New York Life.

      We understand the customer's frustration regarding the delays with her claim. Our records show that the surgery date was 5/1/24 but the customer's last day worked was 1/26/24. Our ***************** does not have a phone number on file for the customer. In addition, the customer's employer has not responded to our requests to clarify the dates. We encourage the customer to contact her Claim Manager, ******, at *********************** to resolve this issue.

      They sent due to me a check and after 2 days of calling and advising that the check can't be cashed all they keep saying is someone will call you back and they never do. So meanwhile me and my kids are struggling while they do nothing. After calling multiple times nothing was done. I am completely disgusted in the way they chose to not handle my situation and treated me as a customer, definitely not valued nor handled correctly or at all. Even after being told, they have emailed someone, I had to ask why the check is was simply not voided and why a check wasn't sent to me through direct deposit. And still no resolution other than saying for the 3rd day someone will call you back. Still no call back and resolution

      We understand the customer's frustration with this issue. **************** is extremely important and we have escalated this issue to the appropriate levels of management to be addressed. Our records show that our Senior Claim Manager contacted the customer on 7/17/24 to advise that the issue with the payments is resolved. In addition, we show that the customer has cashed all her payments. Should the customer have any questions, they may contact their Claim Manager, ******, for assistance.

      Working with this company has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. After being a victim of domestic violence, I've had to struggle with this company endlessly regarding my health conditions. It's been four months of no payments and my claim being under review. There's no consistent communication. Voice messages and email left without a response. Letters are sent requesting information that wasn't included with the letter. Overall I'm very disappointed with this company and the way is in which they choose to handle their clients.

      Being getting the run around for months on my disability claim. I requested to speak to my case manager over 2 months ago and still havent heard from them. Total scam!

However, we conduct an ongoing investigation and often are waiting for updated information to extend benefits. According to our review, the customers benefits have now been extended to 7/14/24 and she is paid through current. Should she require additional time beyond 7/14/24 we will require updated medical documentation. Should the customer have any questions, they may contact our Claim Manager, ****, with any questions

      Company is horrible. M employer works contracts with this company for disability. They have employees that do not like to do their jobs. Delayed my surgery time by weeks, because case worker decided to extend vacation for several weeks. ?No communication.

If the customer is willing to provide more information to us full name, incident number for their claim, DOB, etc - we'd be glad to look into this further.

      I have attempted 7 times to cancel a life insurance policy and they keep sending more bills They sent me paperwork twice which i filled out and returned the next day It never ends. I even contacted my bank to stop auto pay. They will not cancel it It's insane

      If I could leave 0 stars I would. This is a joke of a company, that does not want to pay people back what they put in. Was on short term disability for having a child (2nd) and it took 2 months to recieve my check, after having to call them weekly and them sending me on wild goose chases for paperwork and office notes. My doctor advised me to take 12 weeks off because of my PPD and there medical team decided it is not extensive enough for them to pay the additional 4 weeks. Which just makes the condition that much worse, will be dropping their plan as soon as possible.

      I've been dealing with this company for seven months now and my long-term case is still under review. Even when I've done everything the case Management has instructed me to do. The only answer I get know is wait on results from medical department. That's going on three weeks of waiting. I'm tired of being placed on the back burner when it comes down to my families lively hood all I need is a response from a responsible person who cares for their job and consumers.
