12/4: Talkiatry is a SCAM. They advertised to me on Instagram and convinced me to book an appointment for 11/2, booked on 10/30. Something came up, and I could not make the scheduled appointment, so I went to the website on my phone browser and canceled the appointment either the day before or the same day (11/2). Later I got emails saying I missed an appointment when I CANCELED it and to see theyre trying to charge me $100 for a no show fee, AGAIN for something I canceled AND a service I certainly DID NOT receive. I sent numerous emails explaining this, and no replies. I finally had to call them, and they essentially told me to s**** off and that I was an idiot. The person I talked to said they would escalate this to management and kept threatening me that the call was being recorded; thats great? I told them I would be reporting to the BBB, and they refused to acknowledge that. Because its ridiculous, especially since they claim to be a mental health company, only to try and charge me for a service I DID NOT receive and want to put me in debt and only cause more undue stress? Terrible customer service. This is insane. I reached out to Instagram to force a scam of an ad down peoples throats only to s**** them out of money.12/18: They never reached out to me. I will be reporting this scam of a business to all available platforms.

Per the attached email, this patient was notified of our 48 hour no show/late cancellation fee policy upon receipt of her appointment confirmation email received on 10/31/22.  If the patient canceled her appointment anytime after 10/31, the cancellation would not adhere to the 48 hours that the patient was notified was required for an appropriate cancellation.

I made an appointment on ZocDoc and cancelled it because I found another doctor. Then I kept getting rescheduled through Takiatry for appointments I never made with doctors I don't even know. Then I get a bill for $100 as a no show. I even spoke with Takiatry people letting them know I didn't make these appointments. This feels like a giant scam. They are billing me for appointments I never even made and refusing to make things right. I won't be paying this bill. I never made or confirmed the appointment and it didn't matter when I tried to cancel it over and over again.

I signed up with Talkiatry because my prior therapist died, and I needed to get a new provider for treatment of my ADHD. In every cirucmstance Talkiatry failed to provide appropriate services for any appointment I ever made. They have a good concept, but the execution needs substantial work. I was never actually provided with any ACTUAL service, and yet they keep trying to charge me for services that were NEVER actually provided. I need any bills they claim I incurred removed, and any damage to my credit report equally removed. If you need more proof, then you can look no further than the fact that I had to go to an outside provider just to get the treatment that I needed. A provider that I use to this day. I was with the therapist that died for over 10 years, and I expect that I will be with this one equally as long. Talkiatry is trying to overcharge and defraud people by paying for services that are not actually provided. When I contacted them, they provided that their system automatically charges people regardless as to whether an appointment was actually provided. This is straight up fraud, and must be stopped. Please, you must act swiftly against these people before anyone else gets defrauded for services not actually received.

I have been trying to contact someone to help me access my patient portal. When I inquired about a service through Talkiatry I used a fake phone number (because I really don't want to give my number out due to the amount of robo calls I receive a day) so I cannot access any of my patient information regarding the appointment that I set up. No one will respond to me. Because no one will answer me I no longer want to keep my appointment or give my business to this company. I did see that I would be charged a $100 fee for a "missed appointment" however, I am now trying to cancel my appointment & again, no one will answer me - which is unacceptable.

The patient has received multiple email confirmation that her appointment has been canceled per her request but is continuing to ask for more confirmation.

Talkiatry is overbilling me $291 for three online appointments. I am attaching three Explanation of Benefits statements from Humana that indicates I owe $0 for the appointments. I paid a $35 copay for each of the three appointments and it appears from the Humana statements that I should not have had to pay a copay. I called Talkiatry for the third time today and they insist owe $291. I am attaching the latest email from Talkiatry.

Patient advised by our billing team that Humana underpaid claims, which resulted in pt's ********************* have been resubmitted and Talkiatry's billing department is working with Humana to correct payment.

This business is charging me an extra $200 than what is owed. One charge of $100.00 is for a visit I never attended on 04/14/2022. The second charge of $100.00 is for a visit I had on 04/05/2022. I have already sent them proof that my insurance company has paid for this date of service and I should only owe a copay of $25.00, as stated on my EOB. I have not heard back from anyone about this despite my attempts to resolve this issue. I want this issue fixed so that it does not affect my credit

On March 16, 2022, I was billed $345.89 for teletherapy I received on October 22, 2021.Unfortunately, this amount is incorrect. An itemized version of the bill reveals this amount includes only $153.81 for teletherapy and the remaining $192.08 corresponds to outpatient services I never received. Teletherapy is the only type of service I sought and received from TalkiatryI have never received outpatient care from Talkiatry. I am disappointed because I contacted Talkiatry prior to scheduling and receiving this service to ensure the total cost was within my budget and was given a good faith estimate of $150. However, ultimately, I was incorrectly billed an amount that was more than twice the amount of the good faith estimate. To resolve the problem, I contacted Talkiatry's billing department and paid the $153.81 amount billed for teletherapy while Talkiatry assured me it would investigate the outpatient services charge further. I never received any further communications from their office, instead, I received a letter from ************************ a debt collector, trying to collect on the remaining and incorrect surcharge of $192.89.
