Terrible experience with Fetch Pet Insurance. I dropped the policy on both my dogs and honestly not sure if any pet insurance is worth it now. They make the claim system seem straightforward, but then they require a pretty extensive amount of medical records (which we had to get from multiple vets since we had moved) for really basic claims. And then deny the claim anyway. Also...lesson learned on my part to schedule my vet appointments around the pet insurance renewal date I guess. Because like with human health insurance, pet health insurance should dictate our medical care more than anything else (please note the sarcasm here). I had an appointment (with a claim) for my dog on the very last date of the annual policy, so they put all of it toward my deductible and we got nothing back. Then when she had multiple ER visits a few weeks later for an unrelated issue, they took out the deductible again because now it was a new year. Yes, I get the technicality. It was still a crappy experience. There was no communication from Fetch whatsoever that our renewal was coming up, so I guess that just needs to be one of the million things I have to keep track of so we don't get f***** by the system.
We lost quite a bit of money in our year with Fetch because they hardly covered anything, and their customer service wasn't sympathetic whatsoever. Pretty condescending actually. I've worked with other insurance companies who actually try to help me save money and get the money I deserve, not say "too bad so sad" when I'm sitting there with $1500 in bills and hardly anything reimbursed from my own insurance company. And then the way they tried to "keep me" when I canceled the policy was to insinuate that we won't get a better deal elsewhere because other companies will now consider my dog to have a preexisting condition. She had a cut paw... that's not a chronic condition. It's an injury.
      Don't bother with this company.

I'm so frustrated with this company. PetPlan was far superior. My problems started when lavish charges of $325.08 started appearing on my account IN ADDITION to my monthly premiums. My monthly premiums for one cat, by the way, fluctuate wildly from month to month. After many phone calls to Fetch, the $325.08 charges were finally credited back to me (with little explanation). Which brings me to this month, when charges of $9.56 started appearing on my account in addition to my premiums (still fluctuating for one pet). I've made 4 phone calls to Fetch in the past 2 weeks (October 5 Jordan; October 10 Kayla; October 13; and October 18 Dan) and am told various vague things ("our accounting department is backed up"; "IT is looking into this"; the best they can do is put a "block" on my account for future erroneous charges). There is NO accountability, I can't get a straight answer, and when I finally spoke to a Dan (a supervisor), there was little to no compassion. Just "Our IT department is looking into it." I finally got Dan to tell me what the premium should be for the pet with a fluctuating premium—though I have zero confidence that's the number I'll actually see on my account next month. I'm not sure if they are actively ripping people off or are just completely dysfunctional and too cheap to hire staff, but it's a nightmare. No one should have to wait over two weeks for clarity on a billing issue. Anyway, still waiting...

Do NOT purchase a policy from Fetch! Like all of the other reviews, I paid for over 7 years of premiums for my dog and never had a claim. When I finally submitted a small claim for an infected paw, I was continually asked for additional documentation going back 4 years prior, and in the end never received a penny because of the copay and deductible. Trying to get through the phone system to speak to a person is a nightmare and they will continue to find a reason to deny reimbursement (or just simply not respond to inquiries) until your monthly premiums have far surpassed what you may have collected. This business is a scam and a ripoff, don’t fool yourself into thinking you are protected from unexpected emergency vet expenses because most likely you will never be reimbursed a penny.

Make it impossible to get your money. They want all kinds of documents and when you upload them, they still say that you’re missing documents. They also are not super clear on what they need and they make the customer service experience so confusing and difficult, you just give up. DO NOT GET INSURANCE FROM THEM. They just take your money.

They don't pay back on vet bills. They told me to bring my dog in for a check up and when I sent the bill of $ 275.37 into claims, they denied it

I initially paid what they said was a full year of coverage at$199.95. After the fact I found out that they were billing me that much quarterly. I never would have signed up for $800 a year for a perfectly healthy puppy and feel like this was very scummy.

I wish I could give this a zero. Don't go with them, go with healthy paws. I cannot believe the hoops they are jumping through to deny our claim for our dog, I thought I'd seen ever kind of predatory insurance activity, but oh boy, they are really doing their best to outdo everyone else for horribleness.
Every claim we have submitted to them has been a horrible horrible approval process. Right now, we're going through the absolute ringer.
We have had the worst treatment from both the insurance company and the two customer service representatives (supervisors) Don and Jordan. To start things off, Don raised his voice and yelled at me within 30 seconds of the call, an experience I've never had. Here are the details of the horrible experience we've had:
We have a two year old pup. When we signed up for insurance we had a brief waiting period. During this time, our dog became very constipated, and we brought her in for treatment.
Fast forward 1.5 years, and our dog becomes extremely lethargic, vomits and poops blood, won't eat or drink water. We bring her to the vet and have a $1,500 bill. Petplan denies it, saying that she presented with the same symptoms (vomiting and diarrhea) which *are not true* we brought her in for constipation. They say this is a pre-existing condition. We say she had completely difference diagnoses but they repeatedly say they don't care about diagnosis, just symptoms and now vomiting and diarrhea is a pre-existing condition.
After two denials, and two phone calls I point out to them that I brought up the doctors notes and actually she was constipated the first time, and have 5 other symptoms that are different, shouldn't this be approved because they are different symptoms and all they care about are symptoms? They go 'no, we can about diagnosis now.' So I say the diagnosis is different. Now they say 'well, we care that they're related.' So they have decided to act as doctors and say they are related.
      Go with health paws instead!

If you consider a dog having tartar at every vet visit a pre existing condition you’re nothing but a scam and your explanation means nothing other than your excuse not to pay out a claim.
If you find me any dog who hasn’t had tartar from the minute they are born would be a miracle as even humans go to a dentist 2-3 times a year to clean their teeth and we brush and floss. Either way increasing premiums and denying claims based on the inevitable is essential a crime in my books. You’ve taken approximately $15-20k of my money for both my pets with basically hardly any claims and when the time matters you have loopholes to make the position of owing a pet difficult while you profit. I will not test with this answer and raise the issues with pet insurance to ensure pet owners aren’t continuously scammed

Unfortunately, I've now had 12 erroneous charges from this company to my credit card. In all, over $3,000 has been erroneously charged to my CC due to "technological glitches."
Insurances services are standard. Accounting is abysmal. Company was sooooo much better when it was PetPlan.

Fetch is a joke. You pay close to $80 per month and they deny every claim. Do not get fooled by them. Their customer advocate gets involved and the result is the same. It takes forever to get claims paid and then your bill is for over $300 and they pay $12 dollars.
