LexisNexis inaccurately reported that I had a speeding ticket to my insurance company, despite the fact that I have never received one. My DMV record clearly confirms that I have no such tickets. This misinformation is highly concerning.Business Response

LexisNexis is incorrectly reporting an accident as "at fault". The incorrect reporting was brought to my attention in March while shopping for car insurance. I contacted ***** insurance who confirmed they reported it to LexisNexis correctly as "not at fault". Per Geico, the incorrect reporting is the fault of LexisNexis. Geico sent me a letter confirming I was NOT at fault; However, the insurance companies will not accept this. They use only the information provided by Lexis Nexis. I've attempted to contact LexisNexis by phone numerous times. You cannot get anyone on the phone. They require everything be done online and through email. I've emailed them about their incorrect reporting three times! My emails included a letter from ***** and a copy of the police report all showing I was found "NOT at fault". Since emails and electronic correspondence seemed to be ignored, I mailed LexisNexis a hard copy of this information. They have not acknowledged or responded to any form of communication and have failed to correct their reporting. To date their incorrect reporting has cost me an additional $679 in insurance premiums.Business Response

We are a family of 2 professional parents (MBA) and 5 children who drive. We have always struggled with insurance rates - but this next 6 mo quote rose 26% with ****** Am Family. In shopping new rates, *********** was lower, but said they denied us coverage based on LexisNexis indicating that we had 3 claims in 36 months. This is totally incorrect information. Filing with Lexis Nexis any dispute of this would take over 30 days! Beyond the time to renew my policy on 9/9. They are listing my daughter calling them as a claim - when in actuality it was not a claim. Her vehicle was parked while she worked and hit right in front of witnesses eating at her restaurant. A 16 year old took a corner too fast and plowed into her car when she lost control. It was a claim on the other insureds policy not ours, and yet it is listed on Lexis Nexis. I want it off. My son bumped another parked car pulling in at 1 mph - bumped - he got scared - inexperienced he called campus police to let the other car know- no damages to either vehicle - yet it is on Lexis Nexis. I want it removed. This was not a huge accident. It was a bump,literally. Who do you know pays 11k for car insurance?????????? And on top of that, one salary, we pay all the college!!!!!! What gives? Received letter from insurance company for my auto informing me they received a report from LexisNexis on my car accident history report. LexisNexis did not have my authorization to use my information or to send this to my insurance company. My dispute: Incorrect information on my Lexis Nexis report. Disputed incorrect information two years ago and it was removed by Lexis Nexis. Ran a report in July 2024 and the disputed information is back. Also, now I have two birthdates. Original report said my license was revoked never happened. Correct report says i have a license in another state, I don't. Never have. How would someone have two birthdates and that was not on my report before? Where does this information come from? Wouldn't a computer program tag that as incorrect? Since people are relying on correct information to be submitted to insurance companies for the best rate, this is serious and unacceptable.Business Response

In February 2023, we cancelled a subscription renewal with LexisNexis. In March 2023, we received confirmation of this cancellation from LexisNexis. Despite several email exchanges and phone calls with LexisNexis, as well as evidence and proof of cancellation, LexisNexis has continued to charge my account on a monthly basis for an update delivered well after the effective date of cancellation. These charges have been ongoing for the past 17 months, and in addition allowed to accumulate late fees. As we have received no aid, help, or resolution to this matter, I am requesting the following actions to be taken at this time: Account Adjustment- No further charges are applied to my account, a credit is applied to eliminate all outstanding charges, and my account is properly closed.Confirmation of Resolution- Written confirmation/communication that this issue has been resolved, and my account has been fully satisfied and closed without any further obligations.Business Response

A couple of weeks ago, I tried to open a bank account with ************ On March 8, 2024, a representative from Truit called me to verify my identity. Truit uses LexisNexis Phone Finder.For whatever reason, I failed the verification which I found strange. I dutifully called LexisNexis to correct any misinformation. There was none. As such, I even ordered my consumer report.On March 11, 2024, ***** again tried to verify my identity and still it failed. This time though, the Truit representative, *********************************, and I called LexisNexis to verify that my information was correct. And again, everything was correct; there were no mistakes.Nonetheless ***** wasnt able to verify me via LexisNexis Phone Finder despite my information being correct.Because of this issue, I again then applied to open another bank account but with US Bank. Again, I wasnt able to open an account despite having a credit rating around 800. Both banks use LexisNexis. I have made several complaints to the *** to no avail. I even received the attached letters which are obviously form as no one from LexisNexis bothered to do any research. LexisNexis has the moral and, as per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, legal responsibility to correct any mistakes. Because Truit and US Bank cannot verify my identity due to, I assume, a technical issues, LexisNexis is failing at its obligation.Business Response

This company is reporting an accident on my history that is causing my auto insurance to be higher than it should be. I have reported this mistake to them and provided evidence that this accident had nothing to do with me nor my vehicle and that I was at work at the time the accident had occurred. It was another driver in the household driver their own vehicle with separate insurance companies and policies. Requesting rectification for a FALSE REPORT which has IMPACTED my securing insurance and INCREASING OF RATES WRONGFULLY A FALSE CLAIM REPORTED on 12/25/2019 to insurance company. I found out that Lexis Nexis is reporting fraudulent claims on my credit report. I have already contacted them to have it removed and they have not removed it. My ex-husband filed an insurance claim the year after we divorced and he apparently still had me on his insurance which is fraud. Nexis Lexis is reporting that fraud on my credit report which is causing me to pay higher auto insurance payments per month. I have a right to be charged a fair price that reflects my accurate history. I want the fraud removed. I can provide proof through legal documents that when he made the claim in February 2018 we were already divorced and had been since July of 2017. I am not responsible for whatever he did after we were legally unburdened of one another.Business Response
