      I have been trying for two months to get my withdrawal corrected my monthly withdrawal for my retirement corrected and I can't get any response from anybody so now my desire is to withdraw it completely I'm going to another financial institution to set up a retirement account with them. When I set up my withdrawal last December everything was smooth going and no problems I don't know what happened to this place but they just went down the tubes. I'm kind of pleasantly surprised that I'm not the only person experiencing this problem reading these reviews makes me feel like I'm not the only one. Instead of sitting on the phone for hours and waiting for callbacks that never come I'm going to go to another professional and have him handle the withdrawal of the rest of my account which was hit really badly the stock market but I'm hoping this resolved my problem.

      Is this place for real??? I've been trying to get a copy of the 1099R to file my Mom's taxes and I can't get anyone on the phone. I set up the online account and cannot access it!!! This place should be ashamed of their ridiculously subpar customer service. I'm utterly disgusted.

      I submitted a withdrawal request because I am no longer with the company I created the account with. I call 2 weeks later asking if everything is good because it was not processed and they told me it was and they were still reviewing it. I call a week later and it is still under review. They resubmitted and could not give me a timeline other than soon for the when it would be processed.

      Much improved service since concerns last month. With the global investment panic, it's understandable that there is a long wait when contacting customer service. However, having the ability to utilize the "call-back" option was great. The withdrawal service representative was knowledgeable and quite efficient in finalizing the process. Also of note is that the twenty-one date wait for receiving the fund transfer has changed to less than 48 hours. Thank you MoA for reversing your "wait policy."

      If youre trying to put money in the answer the phone immediately if youre trying to take money out theres a minimum of one hour hold time before I think the call was even connected to the department. They try to make you wait long enough that you get frustrated and just hang up. I finally got the paperwork and signed it to get my money out and they only took out half and kept the other half. They now will not answer my phone calls. I think Im gonna have to get a lawyer just so I can get in contact with them. This company is nothing but a scam. When you take someones money under the guidelines that you are going to work that money and give it back and you dont give the money back that is the definition of scammers. Im gonna call the ****** fraud department now and see if they can help.

      Mutual of America has poor service delivery practices. I submitted a withdrawal request almost 2 weeks ago and haven't received my electronic transfer yet. Everything I call them there's been excuse after excuse I expressed several times this withdrawal was so important to me, because of medical reasons (eye surgery). I was told the withdrawal process will take up to 7 business days and the electronic deposit 2 to3 days. However, according to the rep I spoke with today, my withdrawal paperwork still hasn't been processed. This company is incompetent and should be investigated regarding false information and misleading service delivery. Mutual of America is an awful company and I hope no one else has to experience what I have.

      On 05/17/2022 at about 8:16 AM, I called Mutual of America to make a withdrawal. At about 9:00 AM, my call was answered, and I asked if there was a way to make the adjustment online for an increase in withdrawal. I was told no, but a form would be sent to me by email. I was to print it out, complete the form, and send it back by **** mail. I asked about returning the form by email and was told no.I never received the form, so on 05/24/2022 at about 8:57 AM, I called the regional office and I was put on hold for a while, but then spoke to a person, who told me he would mail the withdrawal form to **** received the form a few days later, and on 06/07/2022, the form was completed, notarized, and sent by **** mail a couple of days later. On 08/10/2022, at 8:06 AM, I called the regional office again, as I had not heard anything from Mutual of America about my withdrawal form. I was told it probably got lost in the mail, and that she would send me another form to complete with a tracking number and to wait 5 days or more for a follow-up call.On 08/23/2022, I decided to rollover my entire 403B account to my 401K retirement account with another company, as I did not want to wait anymore for a response from Mutual. At about 8:06 AM, I called the Rollover Specialist. He told me that he would send me the form to print it out, complete it, scan it, and to send it back to Mutual of America by email. The email address was ******************** I emailed the completed form at 11:02 AM on 08/25/2022. On September 5, 2022, and I still had not received any response about my form sent by **** mail or my form sent by email. Finally on September 21, 2022, my entire funds with Mutual was rolled over to my other retirement account. My experience with Mutual was horrible, and I recommend that anyone rollover there entire account with Mutual to another retirement plan.

      I have been waiting for just about 1 month for a hardship withdrawal Every time I call its something different First it was received and will take **** days that a was on a Thursday on that Saturday 2 days later there was something missing th complete my withdrawal So Monday was a holiday and on Tuesday I called I was told I needed ro send if proof that my son was related to me I was told it was better to resend everything I sent it a few days later i called I was told that they could not read the email I resent it again and 2 days later called to see if it was received i was told it takes a few days I called again and was told it was received and it would take a week I called a week later abd was tiold wait til Wednesday I am still waiting I even told the gentleman on the phone that if I need the monwy to pay my rent I would have been evicted my now I then told him to send me paperwork so I could withdraw the rest of my money I was told I could not do that until this process was complete this compant ***** and I would not recommend it to anyone you are better off putting your money under your mattress and take your cbances

      They have terrible customer service. Have consistently been on hold for over an hour. Then when they do answer they cannot find my withdrawal request form. Then its oh I found, you need to correct this and email it back! After doing everything they ask a few days later I call, get answering service for another hour and then be told we cant find your request form, oh here it is, you didnt fill it out correctly ! How many times do I have to correct something which every time I do talk to someone they tell me everything else is correct.

      The worst of the worst. No stars should be given for this company. Im still waiting on paperwork since August 29th. The service is terrible
