I had been a loyal reader/customer of this law related news website since they first started, years ago, as a good but struggling alternate to the only other ******** law newspaper, New ***************** which is in my opinion staffed by people who could care less about their readers/customers and were also in my opinion extremely over-priced. I was always on a first name basis with the administrative staff and leadership of Law360 until a few months/years ago, during the COVID19 pandemic, when it seemed all the good people left the company only to be replaced by disorganized, distant, and clueless staff instead. So imagine my surprise when I was told, over the last few weeks, that if I did not pay an "overdue balance completely created by them because they did not charge my credit card on file every month (as was our contractual agreement, more than approximately $2000 in total) that they would cut off my services/subscription, even though (1) everything prior to February 4, 2023 must be written off due to our chapter 7 bankruptcy filing in case 23-22095, (2) it was their error/mistake for forgetting to charge ** monthly, and (3) I wanted to continue onwards only pay our monthly rate as per contract. The people I spoke with were altogether rude, cold-hearted, greedy and could care less about me as an aggrieved and disregarded long time customer. Please note that they are openly committing a federal crime by ignoring the automatic bankruptcy stay and continuing to try and collect/harass on a past debt entirely created by their own staff and which could land them with sanctions, fines, fees, even jail if we decided to prepare and file a Notice of Motion for Contempt of Court for our bankruptcy case. Please investigate and advise.
