So when I started here I was mislead about what I was going to school for. I wanted social work and they talked me into human resources telling me if I signed up then I could use my degree for that. They collected from student loans I went like a month or two then spoke with an academic advisor only to find out i was lied to THEN they charged me for what I attended and returned all my student loans instead of keeping what they needed to cover the class. They are predatory lenders, they falsified themselves and lead me to believe i was going to school for what I needed for my career. Now I can't get it off my credit report. On case anyone reads there is a claim against them with the cfpd for predatory actions!!! This school destroyed my life! Sold off my debt and NEVER did they send me ANYTHING!!!! I had to find out on my credit report!Business Response

Bryant & Stratton College (“College”) reviews and
investigates any student complaint it receives and appreciates the opportunity
to address this latest complaint from Ms. ******, who last attended the College
in 2019 and has since made repeated attempts to absolve herself of the
principal balance owed after her withdrawal due to lack of attendance.
Over the past five years, on multiple prior occasions, Ms. ****** has
challenged her balance owed – including the filing of a prior complaint with this
agency in 2023 (Case No. ********). With every complaint filed, Ms.
****** raises a different reason why she is not responsible for her balance
owed; even going so far as to alleged that her identity had been stolen
(subsequently shown to be an unsubstantiated accusation). On each
occasion a complaint from Ms. ****** has surfaced, the College has attempted to
work with her, all to no avail. Nevertheless, the College will once again
conduct outreach directly to Ms. ****** to provide her with the relevant
information and documentation concerning the principal balance owed and address
any outstanding questions she may have relative to the same.Initial Complaint

I have spent a lot of money at BSC. I got my LPN through them and was getting my ADN with them. I have a heart condition as well as really bad anxiety that I take medication for. One the day I took my exam two, I had just witnessed a bad accident, I was having chest pains and told my instructor and still took the exam. I had taken this class before and my grade before and now was a 30 point drop. It was other students who came in after the exam had started. It was a lot of noise, people cell phones going off, electric heaters running, and breast pumps running. I was not able to concentrate or focus. It wasn’t a suitable test taking environment and that’s what the syllabus stated we will have. I’ve reached out to the instructor, the Dean, Beth M***** and David V****. I just want to be heard, it’s not fair that I can potentially have to start all the way over for 1 class, because I wasn’t given something that was offered in the syllabus. I was able to take the 3exam in the testing center where I got over 10 points higher from the first time I took it. I’m 100% sure if I could retake exam 2 in the proper environment I would pass.Customer Answer

I had a housefire in February and lost my computer but was still in school so I had to order another computer which I paid over $600 for where they’re supposed to be new I graduated in June so I only had to use the computer for a couple months. It’s been put up ever since then. but I started experiencing issues with my computer recently While attending another school, so I called the The school who told me I had to call the manufacturer where they told me my warranty on that computer by giving them the serial number off of my computer, which means it’s not compromised, but it has been used and registered under that number last year in September, so my warranty expired this year in October there is no way if I purchased a brand new computer on February 27 that in October when I’m inquiring about it having internal issues I get told there’s nothing I can do about it from the manufacturer in the school is not doing absolutely nothing but emailing me back telling me I can’t speak to the bookstore but when they email me back, it says that it’s resolved in the contact manufacturer clearly it’s not resolved because the manufacturer is not about to do anything I am asking that I get a brand new computer because I did spend all that money on this computer computer in my Warranty is Expired let you know that they lied and sold me a used computer. There’s no other way around that, but they don’t care to handle my issue because I’m not in the school with them no more So they’re acting they’re about to take their precious time while I’m missing out on my schoolwork that I’m doing right now I either want my money refunded back for my computer or want a brand new computer sit to my address and they can have this old one back and resell it as if it was brand new to someone else like they did meBusiness Response

I would like to make a complaint about a teacher who is very sexist towards her own gender. I am in my first term for fall. However, I am having trouble getting answers from teachers when it comes to coursework. It seems they do not like to answer emails and disregard your concern. I left one university due to them dropping classes that I needed to graduate and them still trying to bill me for 400 something dollars. I transferred to Bryant & Stratton Online not too long ago, and they are very discriminating to certain people. Twice within the past two weeks, I have done what their instructor has said to do, however she fails me still with no remorse or options to help me out.Business Response

I was in my last semester in the Practical Nurse LPN program at Bryant and Stratton. I had a racist clinical instructor, Jacklyn L*******. She gave me a clinical fail due to her being racist and discriminating against me. Because of that it’s an automatic failure for the two connected lectures which led me to being dropped from the program. I appealed for re-entry and they verbally denied my request. I haven’t received any official paper work in writing to confirm anything. This school is predatory and playing games with students. The 20k I spent on tuition has now all gone to waste without a degree. This school just wants to scam students and take all their money whilst screwing them over at some point of their education. The Dean of Nursing, Linda did nothing to show sympathy or concern towards the clinical discrimination I faced from the clinical instructor. Such abuse of power and a bunch of fakes. **** this school and May you rot in ****.Business Response

I called I to my school initially to ask specifically if they offered a program for social work because I wanted my bachelors to work for childrens services (very descriptive). They told me they did and put me into a human and social services program for my associates, which I graduate this June. I assumed i had to work my way up to my bachelors..like associates, then, bachelors, then masters etc.... because I am new to this and i clearly stated what i need and this was the program they put me in. While reaching out today about furthering my education after June , I found out they don't even offer a bachelors degree for my program so Id have to transfer. I asked them why wouldn't they tell me that because i wouldnt have been at their school had I known . After all of the apologies and idk why's I was told they probably put me this program because they didn't have a bachelors program. Now i cannot find a school that will allow me to transfer "all" of my credits. So about $40,000 later and I have to start over basically.Business Response

I had to withdrawal from 2 terms equal to 1 semester at Bryant & Stratton online. The first term was due to my mother's illness and having to care for her. The second term was due to having two of my patients, I had become close to as their caretaker, passing away leaving me having some emotional issues. It also brought up a lot of emotions from my brother passing away two years before. I also got Covid-19 on top of all of this and needed some time. I contacted the school on both occasions and they told me it was fine to withdrawal and wouldn't affect my academic achievements or my current 4.0 GPA. I returned to school this past term and nothing was mentioned. I maintained a 4.0 GPA and finished the term, so you can imagine my surprise and heartbreak when I was emailed, I'd been dismissed from school because of academic history and I'd have to appeal showing proof for why I withdrew months earlier and how I would be successful. I've already returned to school, finished the term with a 4.0 GPA, my financial aid package paid ( a loan) they accepted and then they dismissed me. I consider this financial aid (loan) waste! Why allow me to return to school if this is what they were going to do? Why say it's ok to withdraw? Why not ask for proof then and not months later after a successful term? Why bring up a very emotional thing, now?
I've shown (proven) how I'm going to be successful and returned to school to be dismissed. I did everything right, to get slapped in the face and had federal student loan money taken (loan waste, possibly fraud). There's no other reason to allow a student to return to school with a 4.0 GPA before and after a withdrawal then dismiss them.Business Response

Thank you for sharing your
concerns regarding your experience at the College. We take all feedback
seriously, as it plays a crucial role in our ongoing efforts to enhance the
quality of service to students. We are
sorry to hear that you felt misinformed as to full consequences of mid-semester
withdrawals from the College. The College’s approval to
participate in federal student aid programs require compliance with regulations
governed by the U.S. Department of Education (US DOE), including the impact of withdraw on Standards
of Academic Progress (SAP) regulations. SAP regulations require students to achieve
certain rates of pursuit at defined measurement points in order for a student to
remain enrolled in school and receive federal student aid. The US DOE requires
students to complete their program within 150% of their program length. Unfortunately, by withdrawing from courses
during two semesters, you were unable to meet these requirements at your first SAP
measurement point. Fortunately, your GPA is not impacted by your withdrawal
from courses and remains at 4.0. The SAP
policy is available on the College’s website and in the College Catalog (distributed
each term to students). It is our understanding that
you successfully appealed this decision and have been readmitted to the College.
We understand that work-life pressures
can hinder student’s educational plans. Please reach out to your academic
advisor should you need further clarification or support. We hope this response
and your recent communication with the College is sufficient to resolve this
complaint. Sincerely,Bryant & Stratton CollegeInitial Complaint

I had to leave school due to multiple personal problems including health issues. My counselor said to call financial aid to find out what I would owe if I quit. I did. They said between $3,000 and $4,000. I proceeded with leaving so I wouldn’t fail my classes. I then received an email that I owed the school $6813.31. I called the number it said to call and had to leave a message. I received no response. I have since replied to the email as well. No response. Either their financial aid department doesn’t know what they’re doing or they flat out lied to me. I was expecting a bill of $4,000 max and got a bill for almost $7,000. Then nobody called me back or responded to my email. Now I’ve been sent to collections and they want $8800. This is fraud. When I enrolled I had some issues with the recruiter as well that raised some red flags and now I see I shouldn’t have enrolled. They obviously like to scam people out of moneyBusiness Response

I signed up for school and began attendance in the RN program I am a LPN who works full time which they knew. The program was complete chaos, clinical classes with no over sight, clinical days of th==Thursdays which would change at the drop of a hat or not happen then we would be instructed we had to make them up. My work schedule went around my school schedule which I signed up for however changing my work schedule was non negotiable they promised certain days certain hours, I got grants and student loans and agreed to pay them 2500 a semester. I emailed called and attempted to talk to people who would not return calls or help with a resolution. I had not choice but to drop out because I could not keep up with their changes and survive financially and was in risk of losing my employment. I have had do no correspondence with them since March and this week I see they put a 4500 dollar complaint on my credit which had none my bills get paid however when I agree to something and you do not fulfill your end of the agreement how can I owe you money? Let alone an amount they seemed to of pulled out of the air. They are not professional the education provided is a joke they don't teach they make you take practice questions for the nclex weekly which in turn will help anyone pass the state boards. I have incurred student loans for the semester I attempted to attend which I will have no choice but to pay this has cost me plenty of money and I got nothing out of it but running myself crazy which I was willing to do to advance my career however they did not teach , they did not keep the promises they agreed to , they expected my life to revolve around them and their inability to provide staff for clinical or teachers who did m ore then read from the book. Nursing is learned best by doing and explaining not reading. It is no wonder the new grads I meet can't place a TB test or insert a foleyBusiness Response

Thank you for sharing this
feedback and concerns regarding the student’s experience in our RN program. We
take all feedback seriously, as it plays a crucial role in our ongoing efforts
to enhance the quality of our service to students. We apologize for any
challenges the student may have encountered related to the program schedule and
clinical rotations. We understand that maintaining a work-life balance can be
challenging, especially in a fast-paced program like the RN program. Our programs are designed to
provide a comprehensive education that prepares students for their respective
careers. We acknowledge that nursing is a practical field, and hands-on
experience is vital for learning. Clinical rotations are an essential component
of our nursing program, and we strive to ensure that each student receives
valuable exposure to real-world nursing situations. Scheduling and availability
of clinical rotations can sometimes be subject to external factors beyond our
control, such as changes initiated by clinical sites. Nevertheless, we are

unable to locate any previous records of the student’s concerns being raised

ongoing improvement and value the student’s feedback as we continue to enhance
our programs. If the student has any further questions or would like to discuss
