    I was at the park on August 22, 2024. Let me state first that I am a bariatric patient. My food options are limited. I wanted to purchase a plain hamburger from the Hot Dog Grill. I was told by the cashier I could not get that. Because the cook "******" was only making specialty burgers, Which cost more by the way. I stated plainly, that I am allergic to mushrooms and I don't care for cheese on my hamburger, as I am lactose intolerant. The cook became argumentative and said I must get that burger and they can only remove the mushrooms. But I should have let them beforehand. Which I thought I was doing by explaining my food limitations. In the end, I was served a burger with gloopy and disgusting cheese. And practically raw bacon on top. I couldn't eat the other options at the park, which were pizza (hello cheese intolerant) and fried chicken which is not good for someone who has had a gastric bypass last year. It is utterly disgusting that for one, the park was price gouging by forcing its customers to buy a specialty burger to charge them more. And not being inclusive of its customers, I am sure I was not the only person there who has a food allergy or intolerance. You are not allowed to bring your own food which is understandable. But a little kindness and understanding goes a long way. I could have died or gotten very sick. I was hungry since I had not eaten since the morning. And didn't know what else to eat there. Truly shameful of Rye Playland and their unethical practices.
