Cactus contracting exceeded all my expectations. The customer service is second to none. They truly care about customer satisfaction and went above and beyond to ensure we were thrilled with their work. The owner, Jeff, kept us in the loop throughout the project and was incredibly responsive to any questions I had. Ryan and Blake showed up bright and early every morning and worked incredibly hard each day, so much so that our deck was complete within five business days, despite some last minute plan changes on our end. I am absolutely blown away in the best way possible by my experience with cactus contracting, their professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and refusal to accept anything but perfection. I highly recommend this family owned and operated company. You will not be disappointed.

Jeff from Cactus Construction called me on the 4th of January 2023 to solicit my business by building me about 850 feet of decking. We talked about making sure the pressure treated lumber had a lifetime warranty so I did not have to replace the decks again in 8 years. I was surprised that Jeff was unsure as to how to secure the life time warranty on the lumber. He felt a 1-year warranty was good. Jeff was afraid to rebuild this deck as it was somewhat complicated and Jeff's words, "I can't build something so complicated.” I explained I would build the complicated parts and create the ornate carvings myself. I had explained to Jeff very early on that I would do all the complicated stuff and Jeff bought off on it. We had a verbal contract and on March 5th Jeff was supposed to come over so we could make it a written contract, since no more reputable contractors would have space for new customers for the year. The morning of the 5th Jeff called me and canceled the appointment and specified he would not be building the deck after I have spent time with him discussing on the phone and by texts in the order of 20 hours.

****, we appreciate your feedback. Our company was matched with you through ******** when you sought contractors for your project. Unfortunately, after discussing it with our ownership team (prior to any site visit, estimate, or contract) we decided that as a client (or project) our company was not a good fit. We believe full transparency to our future clients is important. Respectfully, Cactus Contracting.

Following up on Cactus Construction response: We do not use **** and asked that we were removed from getting calls over 1 year ago. Communication with Cactus and Jeff was via Text from 1/4/2023 thru 3/8/2023 and also phone calls during the same time period. We obtained the required pressure treated wood warranties from two lumber resources and educated Jeff on these so he understood the 1 year warranty he offered did not cover premature rot of the wood. We stated to Jeff that we would buy the lumber and have 110% of required materials for the deck project. Jeff had given us a verbal estimate of the job. Jeff made no prior indications by text or by phone that he was not going to complete the project. On the day of the final review, he cancelled at the exact time of the appointment leaving us without a contractor as planned. We had even contacted a refuse firm to remove and haul away the old decking prior to Cactus starting the decking rebuild in the Spring.

****, we not only received your information from **** last year which prompted our initial outreach to you by phone call, but you again (after leaving unsavory reviews on ****** and BBB with litigious threats) then scheduled an appointment directly with our business through ********/*********** last month. We had them remove this appointment from our account with them as we did not wish to proceed with any interactions with you, nor give you any further reason to slander our business as we would not show up to the appointment you scheduled. We would encourage you to reach out the ******** directly if you do not wish to be contacted by contractors on ********. It should be noted you used an alternate last name on your ******** file (************). We apologize that you felt the "final review" was the day we cancelled, however, this would have been the first site visit as a potential client/project for an estimate. Our interactions up to this point had made us uneasy with even giving an estimate for this project and while it would be turning away potential business, our management team did not feel that we wanted to move forward. This will be our last response to any further reviews on any platforms.
