      I sent Mark * M***** my Bible to be repaired and I was told by him that it would take 2 months. After waiting 3 months, I contacted him by email and he said he found the Bible in his studio but it had not been completed. 2 weeks later the Bible arrived and it was in a worse shape than before. The cover was poorly glued, and the lettering was blurred on the spine. Pages fell out of the Bible upon opening it after he had assured me he could fix this issue. After I granted his request to try to fix the repairs that apparently his apprentice had done, I sent the Bible back and waited two weeks. As of today (12/18/24), I have yet to receive it. I emailed Mark again asking for an update and he claims that the Bible was sent back to me but could not provide me a tracking number. He had promised me the following:
      1. His “apprentice” is nearly out of the door.
      2. As said he would do the greater part of the work.
      3. At project end he will issue/process a full refund of $220.
      I emailed Mark again yesterday (12/17/24), when he would anticipate processing the full refund and I have not received answer or a tracking number for the return of my Bible.

      This customer was fast to make complaints to BBC ect before I could even attempt to correct the situation. His Volume has been rebound in top grain moraccan goatskin leather. Clear lettering  on spine is in place and pages firmly attached to spine. he was told they may not be even. a out and the only  I wrote an apologetic response to an email he sent indicating I would attempt to correct this issue. I offered a refund of $220.50 in addition to rebinding. --------------------------As to delivery of this item: Tracking number ********************** Shipped 14 Dec 2024 Expected delivery December 20, 08:00PM Tracking number created In transit December 19, 04:46AM Sacramento Ca Distribution Center Out for delivery ------------------------- As to refund: November 18, 2024 - A payment for $220.50 ?was made  Payment for Invoice #******* December 18, 2024 - A refund for ($220.50) ?was made   Refund to Invoice #*******

      On July 12, 2019, I delivered a set of ** ************* ***** to **** ******. He committed to repairing and rebinding 13 of the books in worst condition. No money was exchanged. He said he needed two months. In Repeated phone calls he gave me various reasons for not doing the work: a friend is sick and he needs to go to Canada, his wife is sick with cancer, Covid is delaying his work. On several occasions he said he would mail the books back to me, and I believed him until nothing ever arrived. I offered to pick up the books, but he said “No”. I have no clear indication that the books are in his possession. They were a family collection - signed on the front pages by my grandparents and great grandparents. Beyond making an unannounced appearance at his business - two hours away - I am at a loss. If there is anything the BBB can do, I would greatly appreciate it. I know this transaction is quite old - I naively believed his offers to return the books. To my knowledge they aren’t worth a great deal, but they are sentimental to me.

      The complaintent gave me a large number of shakrspeare volumes which were all in bad shape.  After looking them over she told me her budget and I informed that for that price I could only do a smaller  number of them. During the time after, I had serious health issues regarding myself and others, thus my work was horribly backed up. I had started work, they are incomplete. I will do no further work on them. They will be packed and shipped to above address. At the time if COVID I was closed for many months  I apologize for not having them completed. M.C.M*****
