    The lawyer I had was competent. I felt that for every email, every phone call, regardless if it was just a minute or a minor issue, there was a charge. My divorce was uncontested. My ex and I pretty much agreed on everything. I felt there were meetings that didn't need to happen. Phone calls that didn't need to take place. There were mistakes that needed to be corrected on their part, for I was charged for the original mistake and the correction. In the end, my uncontested divorce cost me over $10,000. I just kept getting bills, even though I had my ex keep the contact down to my lawyer to a minimum, because I didn't want to be charged. I highly recommend you find someone that cares about people and doesn't make it all about how much money they can drain from their bank account.
