    Date of Transaction: January 21, 2015 Amount Paid in Full: $626.03 to WWP*Knockout Pest ************ This business promised to remove the mice that were living in my home. They assured me that they would find all entry points (holes) , put down traps and fix the problem. If I had any further complaints in the next 12 months, I was to call them back. By April, more mice arrived. The holes were never found, so obviously, they were never sealed by the company. I called this company back in April, and they wanted me to wait an additional week before they would return. After speaking with the manager of the company, someone came the next day. The exterminator brought poison boxes, but did NOT move (or ask us to move) any appliances. The exterminator did not check under the sink or behind the washer/dryer. He also did not find or seal any external or internal holes.I was forced to call another company and pay another $600+ dollars to handle this problem. At the point, the mice had even found their way into my bedroom. This second company did move my appliances and found holes under the sink. They also found and sealed a potential hole in the basement. KnockOut overlooked all of this twice. It my belief that I should be fully refunded for the services that were not provided. This company did not find the holes, seal the holes or exterminate the mice. They did not hold up their end of our contract forcing me to pay another company.

    The client first called and had service on January 20, 2025.Then had a reoccurrence on April 18th, 2025. The client alleges we promised to seal ALL holes that allowed the mice to come in. In fact, we advised the client that we would TRY to identify large holes that they we need to seal. Although not on our contract, if the technician found small holes we would attempt to seal them if possible. Our technicians notes indicated that there was much clutter in the house and was not able to access some areas of the basement. We provide a follow up visit on May 8, 2025. I have recording of the two phone calls and will attempt to attach to this response. (see links below) If I am unable to do so, I can send them to you separately.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    Knock Out Pest Control told me that by paying them $626.03 that they would return as many times as needed throughout the year.  As an already paid customer, they wanted me to wait  a week when I called in April for an exterminator to come back to my home. As a first time newly paying customer, they came within hours. After arguing with them about this fact, they sent me an exterminator the next day.  I should not have had to argue about this.  Having a rodent in my home was emotionally draining enough.

    Also, after calling a second company and spending even more money on this problem - despite some clutter, the second company was able to find 2 holes that Knock Out Pest Control completely missed.  They also moved out our Kitchen appliances (which was very simple to do). Knock Out did none of this and the problem persisted.  Knock Out, while well spoken, was not diligent in their work to find and fix my problem. 

    And currently, even after paying them for a service (they have not refunded me anything), they are putting it back on us, the paying customer - 'we had clutter'.  Most people have clutter in their homes. We have 4 children.  If they were not confident in fixing my problem, I wish they would have said so. When they arrived at my home, BOTH times, they assured me that this would not be a recurring problem and, under their exterminators, it was.

     I still feel as though I should be refunded the $626.03. I paid for a problem that still persisted until I had to pay different company.
