    Bought three cartons of blueberries yesterday (8/23/23) at Yonkers Farm Market. Tried to return them today - they tasted kinda the way ***** spray smells and were utterly inedible. They gave me a hard time about the return. While waiting in line I dropped one of the cartons, and while I was helping an employee clean them up, he set the carton aside. So then the cashier said she'd only refund me for two cartons because she couldn't see the third one. So I retrieved it put it up on the counter with the other two, and then she told me they'd only refund me for two, since I dropped one. As if they were planning to resell these inedible berries before I dropped them on the floor? Also, when I put two of the cartons on the counter, she knocked one down herself, and then blamed ME for putting them up on the counter. Bottom line was, they refused to refund me for all three cartons, so I took the berries and my receipt and left. I want my $6.49 back.

    please read customer's complain he admit that he droped 1 berries carton while he was waiting in the line. that one berries carton we can't refund he got mad and took the other two boxes also did not return.

    if he can return 2 cartons of berries we will give him refund $4.34

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    My reason for returning the berries was that they TASTED LIKE CHEMICALS - they were not fit for human consumption. I asked the cashier at the time why it mattered that the berries were dropped on the floor if they could not be resold, and asked if they were planning to resell them. She said no. The owner's insistence that the dropped berries could not be returned is tantamount to their admission that they planned to RESELL them. It is also tantamount to a confession that they routinely resell food that has been returned by customers, which is not a safe practice I want a refund for ALL THREE baskets of berries because they were not edible. 

    Refund the full amount.

    we were not going to sell those berries. we want to complain to our vendor and show them the condition as you have said there were not eat able .we get the credit .with out returning berries we don't get the credit that i asked you return them . i am sorry we cant give you refund if you dont return 2 cartons of berries

    The vendor's response makes absolutely no sense.

    I bought THREE baskets of berries, which had a chemical taste to them, and I want a refund for all THREE baskets.

    The fact that I spilled one on the floor is absolutely irrelevant to the case, as by the vendor's latest communication, they had no intention of reselling the berries. Since that is the case, why would they refuse to refund me for all three baskets?

    All the berries were gathered up and retrieved. I have all three baskets of berries, and the receipt, in my freezer, and would be happy to return ALL THREE baskets for a full refund.
