I went to Mike to get a motor put in everyday he would tell me what more I needed to get done for me to keep spending money. When I went to pick up the car it sounded horrible he said bring it back next day an he’ll see what’s wrong. He said he didn’t bleed the brakes that’s why it was making that sound. I left on my way home when I turned right my car completely shut off I call him he says he’s busy can I try to bring it again the next day. Get there he’s looking for the problem for like 2 hours he say I need a lower arm control system I told him I didn’t have the money for it an I would have to wait. I left an the car cut off again. I finally made it home an the car hasn’t started since I’ve reached out to multiple times trying to see if he could fix it or can he explain how the warranty for the parts work he’s not responding. I did a dispute but they said I don’t have enough evidence which I have him saying I can’t drive the car after the car should have been able to drive after he fixed it.Business Response

Hello my name is Michael P**** I am the owner of Mike's Automotive Repair service located at 7720 Beechmont Avenue Cincinnati Ohio 45255. On April 29th 2022 ******* ******** that resides at *** ********* ****** ******** ** ***** Had her 2010 Ford Edge towed to my shop for a engine replacement. Once I received the vehicle I immediately documented the vehicle and the engine replacement process as with all of my customers and by looking at my reviews offline you can obviously see that is a service that I provide to all my customers to make them aware of any issues that maybe going on with the vehicle or issues that they are unaware of to make them aware of them and for liability. I read in the statement that ******* ******** wrote that one of her concerns was i informed her each day with issues and other unrelated problems with vehicle to her to spend more money and that just simply isnt the case. It is my job as a mechanic to make sure the customer is aware of any issues with their vehicle especially when the vehicle is new to the customer. (Another reason I made ******* ******** aware of all issues) as ******* ******** stated in the documented screenshots. ******* ******** had just purchased the vehicle and had the oil changed when ******* ******** found out the motor needed replaced. Throughout each day that I worked on the vehicle I took pictures and video documentation of the process for verification purposes and to show ******* ******** that the work is being performed to the vehicle. I also read that immediately after ******* ******** received her vehicle it sounded horrible. In my supported videos and pictures you can see that the vehicle was test driven before returned to ******* ******** I video recorded the driveability test (test drove in shop parking lot due to expired tags on the vehicle) meaning I could not drive the vehicle on roadways legally to see if there was any high speed noises coming from the suspension or wheel bearing assembly never did i state the brakes were forgot to be bled out. The parking brakes were rusted and stuck against the brake rotors causing some noises when turning a corner if that was the case and I didn't bleed the brakes the vehicle would not stop at all. ******* ******** was made aware of this beforehand. ******* ******** did indeed bring the vehicle back the next day for a suspension related issue and at that time I reminded her of the videos that I shared with her of my concerns of the suspension and the highly recommended part replacement at the time of engine replacement. After that and recording the movement of the broken lower control arm bushings ******* ******** left. Later ******* ******** messaged me wanting prices of suspension parts and after sending screenshots of the parts prices ******* ******** gave me the go ahead to proceed with filing the paper work to order parts. That is when I was notified by square a point of sale system I use that ******* ******** filed a dispute on 5/14/2022 with no notification of the dispute. I informed ******* ******** of this issue and would have to call the bank to get it resolved so there was no conflict of interest and before I could move on with further repairs. That is when ******* ******** started making claims of the vehicle stalling and not running correctly and demanded a full refund. I informed her that she would have to bring the vehicle to me to resolve the problem it is then she refused to tow the vehicle to me. I offered to come to her house since she lived down the street from my residence I also informed ******* ******** at that time if she had drove the vehicle more than 500 miles without getting it re-inspected by the mechanic who installed the engine for integrity and make sure the engine did not burn any oil or leak any fluids and if there is more than 500 miles on the odometer from time of engine install the engine would not be warranted if ******* ******** did not do as listed by the salvage yard terms and conditions of there warranty that i purchased the motor from and that is wrote on the invoice she received. A few weeks later ******* ******** messages me telling me That her bank never put a hold on the payment of $1,096.41. I sent her a screen shot of the pending dispute informing her once the dispute was settled I would be more than happy to assist anyway I could. Once the dispute was resolved I received a message from ******* ******** indicating that she was going to send a few people to "see me" since I would not refund her money. I informed ******* ******** that since the dispute was resolved I'd be more than happy to help i even offered to pay the tow to my shop and she refused and stated she wanted all her money back that she knows the laws and I stated if she did know the laws she would know that in order for a full refund ******* ******** would have to at least let me honor the warranty but if it is to be found that it is a engine accessory that attaches or bolts to the engine to make the engine run it is not under any warranty. Only the engine was replaced not the engine accessories.

I haven’t been able to drive the car since the day I got it back from Mike. I asked about the warranty because I didn’t want him to work on the car anymore because every time I took it back it was something else messing up with the car. He said the car should have been brought back before the 500 miles or the warranty would be voided. I told him it was driven at all so it’s not over the 500 he told me I would have to get the car towed again to him for him to look at the parts an if it’s a problem he would have to contact the place he got it an wait for a response. I’ve been waiting an waiting first I’m waiting on the dispute now I would have to spend more money getting it towed just to be waiting again. I’ve been out of a car that I thought would be up an running when I got it. He never was trying to help me nor respond until I told him I had I reached out to a 3rd party because I know it was bad business an this is not his first time.Customer Answer

I never received a warranty or signed any paperwork. I asked him about a print out of everything an he sent me link with just pictures an video of what he done to the car no paper work.

I have supplied screenshots showing that ******* ******** received an electronic copy of all paperwork including warranty information. I also supplied screen shots showing where ******* ******** admitted that she did indeed file a dispute with square after all even though she stated many times that she didn't and that she was confused of the situation. though she knew she all along about the disput. How can I a mechanic deal with a customer that is trying to be deceitful and not honest. ******* ******** also refuses to bring the vehicle to me to honor any warranties. The facts in the screenshots show that ******* ******** is not telling the whole situation. ******* ******** is not a certified mechanic to make the claims that the work i did to the vehicle is the cause of the current situation with the vehicle. With ******* ******** refusing to allow me to honor any warranties to be able to find the cause of the problem can only conclude that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle or the mileage has exceeded 500 miles by not following directions and voiding the warranty and shows that the car was never "broke down" right after she got it. ******* ******** thinks she can just make claims and get her money back. I've already supplied evidence to ******* ******** bank and square (point of sales) I use to process business Transactions and both found in my favor. Now here I am again disputing more false claims Against me if this continues I will proceed with slander charges and file loss of wages for the time it is taking up to dispute these false claims.
