Kroger consistently (meaning daily) advertises one price but charges us another. Three examples that I have experienced: 1) price tag says $5.99 a pound - at register rings up $6.49 a pound. This is a frequent occurrence and the cashiers will gladly tell you all about the times the price displayed is not what rings up at the register---their are very frustrated about it too.; 2) If you do an order to arrive the following morning, the price shown during an online checkout is false---Kroger re-applies coupons and prices as of the delivery date, NOT the date customer approves the purchase. (This is likely illegal, but read the other BBB reviews to see mentions of it.); and 3) large price signs in store are false because they require scanning a QR code that is frequently un-scanable, and when it is it often doesn't turn up any thing. The bottom line is Kroker is out of control and it's time for the Attorney Generals of the states they operate in to come down hard on their deceptive and illegal pricing practices.

Deceptive pricing for example- buy two 12 packs Pepsi get three 12 packs free- they jack up the price of the 2 and that way they increase their sales volume and obesity of their customers They do the same with ******* for example If one - a senior citizen for example the price you pay is easily over double the price on that multi purchase! For exaple my wife paid $5.49 for one bag of ******- in she had purchaed 4 the price is $2.49 each- if a customer bought 2 bags the price would be almost $2 more than the buy 4 price! They never ever put the individual price on those specials! They also overcharge at the register as they do not pull sale price that have expired.

Bought 4# "Kroger pure cane granulated sugar" which was not sugar at all, but some sort of sugar substitute, probably like ******. I actually currently have a patient/client who is allergic to one of the sugar substitutes, so this could be harmful. Also I used it for hummingbird food and birds weren't eating it as usual, so this could harm the birds. I called the Kroger Quality Guarantee number and after she took enough info to write a book, said she would credit money back. Not why I called. I could have done that by just taking it back to Kroger. She wouldn't say if this had been brought to their attention before, and then hung up on me.

I PURCHASED BONELESS CHICKEN ON JULY 5 TH 2024 WHEN I OPENED THE PACKAGE TO FILLET THE CHICKEN, SHARDS OF HARD PLASTIC WERE IN THE CHICKEN ( THIS COULD HAVE EASILY CUT SOMETHING ON YOUR INSIDES VERY DANGEROUS) I WORK ACROSS THE STREET FROM RALPHS IN *** *****, I HAD TAKIN PICTURES OF THE PIECES OF HARD PLASTIC IN THE CHICKEN PROOF OF MY PURCHASE, ALL I WAS GOING TO DO IS LET THE STORE MANAGER KNOW WHAT HAPPEN. THE STORE MANAGER OLD BLACK LADY CAME AT ME WITH ATTITUDE AND STUPID QUESTIONS, SHE WAS SO RUDE AND JUST IGNORANT I WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION NOT WANTING ANYTHING FROM HER JUST A SAFETY PRECAUTION, IT WAS TO GIVE HER A HEADS UP ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THE STORE MANAGER NEEDS A LESSON IN CUSTOMER SERVICE I KNOW SHE HAS BEEN THERE FOR A WHILE YEARS BECAUSE I HAVE WORKED ACROSS THE STREET FOR YEARS, I HOPE NO ONE ELSE HAD HARD PLASTIC IN THEIR CHICKEN IF SO GO AFTER THIS LADY SHE IS NOT OUT FOR PEOPLES SAFETY

I went to the fuel center on 06/19/2024 to purchase gas and was told I looked like a hooker and did this in front of a male customer. I was embarrassed and humiliated. I complained to his store manager and corporate and no one has contacted me or fired him. I have stopped shopping at this location and it is costing me more in gas and groceries now. The employee is always complaining of his coworkers when I have stopped there in the past which was every morning.

Subject: Complaint regarding Customer Experience at ********************** **********, ** Date: July 9, 2024 To whom it may concern,I am writing to express my deep concern and discomfort with an incident that occurred at your Kroger location in **********, **, today around 8am.While using the self-checkout system, I encountered an issue where assistance was required to complete my transaction. This was initially routine; however, I was taken aback when the staff member informed me that she needed to inspect the contents of my open purse. I questioned the necessity of this request as it made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and violated. Despite my objections, she insisted that it was a new policy.Having never encountered such a situation before, I complied reluctantly. Subsequently, I sought clarification from the supervisor on duty regarding this policy. He expressed uncertainty about its existence and promised to investigate further. Although he apologized for the incident, I felt compelled to bring this matter to your attention to prevent others from experiencing a similar discomfort.I trust that you will address this issue promptly and provide reassurance that such incidents will not recur in the future. As a loyal customer, I value the shopping experience at Kroger and hope that steps will be taken to uphold customer dignity and privacy.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

This company is terrible. I did an online kroger order 6/29/2024. I got a 25.00 coupon for using kroger for the first time. My order was 39.98. It then went down to around 14.98. My card was charged that. They proceeded to say one of my items were out of stock. I went and checked online and it did not say this item was out of stock. They took the item off my order then charged my card an extra 25.00 saying I did not have over 35.00. On the coupon itself it does not say anything about have over 35.00. It was not my fault that they said my one item was not available. I feel like this company is a fraud. I will never use them again. I am now fighting with my bank to get my money back.

Zero stars. Variety is very poor. Produce quality is depressing. The staff, is a joke. Be prepared to use self checkout, even if you have a cart full of stuff, they never have registers open.the meat quality is mediocre and the fish quality, well just don't do it. I would recommend any other store. *** in downtown is better than this corporate sell out.
