On May 11, 2023, BBB asked the business to substantiate the following claims that its product:
1. Hair'n's topical medications are clinically proven to stop excessive hair shedding in 4 weeks and help regrow hair in 4 months"
2. The regrowth laser cap MAX will yield "thicker, healthier hair"
3. Laser hair removal ZERO provides "years of IPL treatments"
appearing in online advertising. BBB’s Code of Advertising requires advertisers to be prepared to substantiate such claims through independent scientific testing.
The business was also reached out to in order to substantiate accreditation claims ("FDA Cleared") , testimonials and endorsements ("doctor recommended"), warranties and guarantees ("money back guarantee, 100% satisfaction, 2-year warranty"), environmental benefit claims (100% Bioavailability, Sulfate Free, Organic"), and list prices in accordance to BBB Code of Advertising section's 1 (Basic Principles), 6 (List Prices), 20 (warranties and guarantees), 30 (Testimonials and Endorsements), and 36 (Environmental Benefit Claims).
On May 15, 2023, the business did respond to the concerns of the BBB providing a Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Certificate with the FDA. However, this voluntary certification does not support information via the websites advertising that the products being sold have been cleared/approved by the FDA. Furthermore, the business has not provided any substantiation for the above claims nor have the claims been discontinued.
