- One week before my move, the local Two Men and Truck quoted me that my whole house move would be $11500, and would require using 80% of 2 trucks. This was an inperson walk through and inventory of my items, which were all boxed up at this point. I accepted and signed this agreement
- Day of the move, the movers arrived and immediately said "wow, this might need 3 trucks"
- Later in the day, they confirmed it would need another truck, and that "Drew (owners son) always does it, and quotes with not enough trucks, and then tries to collect...in my case 33% more the day of, when we have no choice
- I spoke to Christopher in Logitics and told him I wouldnt pay, but they have to complete move
- They sent a 3rd truck, with no discussion, not agreement, nothing...I thought they made their sitation right, since they unintentionally (or intentionaly) under quoted amount of trucks needed.
- I paid my contracted balance in full (the remaining $10,450, after the deposit I already paid) - so my entire agreement balance was paid in full...with no request for payment outside our terms
- When finishing unloading at the first stop in ** (the house), the movers (who were great BTW)...tried to collect another $5400. I said no, I didnt agree to that, and to have their corporate person call me...he refused.
- We drove to storage unit, for the second stop drop off of about 1/2 of my items...and they said Drew, the owners son was demanding payment...I kept asking to speak to him to understand...he refused until the driver finally handed me his phone...
- Drew immediately started yelling at me, called me a theft, and said he wouldnt discuss until I paid more...
- He then called the drivers, they had phone on speaker and I was right there...and he cursed and yelled and told them to "dump my shit on the side of the road"
- The drivers said they had to follow his order, left stuff outside the storage facility
- Drew commited CC fraud, and tried to run my CC without approval...Business Response

Continuation of BBB complaint ********:
On 28Jun24, movers called me at 220 pm and said they are 1 hr and 25 min. away from my apt due to earlier job. They arrived at 4pm. The window for arrival that company gave me was 1-3 pm. I had to contact mgmt at new apt and convince them to keep loading dock open past their reg.hours. The movers finished at ~ 9pm. I informed the 2 movers of damage- 3 bottom corners of new couch were now ripped and new bedroom dresser and chest were chipped and dented. The mover took pictures of damages, recommended I contact mgmt. to discuss steps to address damage. I sent damage photos to the company via email on 28Jun24. After the movers left, I realized my 2 TVs were not in my new apt. After making multiple attempts to get the movers back on the phone, one of movers called me and informed me that they accidentally left my tvs at old apartment building by the elevator. I had to drive back to the old apt and luckily they were still there. I called the moving co. on 28Jun24 and asked for someone to call me asap to address the horrible service. Later that evening I realized that that my computer chair rolling mat was also missing. The operations manager, Anthony S****** contacted me on 29Jun24. He was giving a summary. I informed him of missing computer chair mat, to which he said they would pay for a new one. He said there would be no refund for poor service even if he escalated. He said the best they can do, since I purchased full valuation insurance for items moved, they would send someone to assess furniture and potentially fix if possible. Submitted complaint on BBB website on 07Jul. On 12Jul, as advised on BBB website, I tried to contact office mgr Gregory H****** and left vm. No response from Mr. H****** to date. Instead received response from company rep, Aidan A********. As of 29Jul all issues have not been addressed. Only couch repair has taken place. Still need bedroom furniture repaired and a refund for lost office chair mat.Business Response

I contracted Two Men and a Truck to move us from our townhome to new home on 7/6/2024. At the time, we no longer owned the house and were leasing it back from the buyers who took ownership on 6/25/2024. Damage was caused to the stairwell and entry way walls by the movers. Spackle was applied to the damages but the movers never asked to finish repairs while on site or mentioned they would like to come back and make the repairs. When the buyers saw the damage done the next day they were furious and demanded I pay $1,680.00 for the repairs which I had to pay out of pocket. They later shared the invoice that they received from a contractor that quoted them $2,970.00 for all the repairs and repainting of the damaged walls. I made Two Men and Truck aware of the damages caused by their movers and the cost associated to the buyer and myself. Their response was that they “would only reimburse me $300 because they did not have the opportunity to come out and make the repairs themselves.” They believed they could make the repairs for less than $300. They had adequate time to make the repairs the day the damage was caused and never did they mention that they would need to come back to make the repairs themselves. The buyer, out of anger for how the house was left by the movers, wanted their own contractor to make repairs.
Additionally, the final cost of the move was over $300.00 more than I was originally quoted and the work completed did not include moving any of our belongings we contracted them to move out of storage unit or putting all the furniture and boxes they moved into their respective new rooms at our new house. I had to pay another $800.00 for someone to move the belongings in the storage unit to my house. I was very forthcoming with information regarding the quantity of belongings needing to be moved by informing them multiple times so the quote could be updated and yet they could not complete the work within the agreed upon time or for the agreed upon amount.Business Response

This afternoon (July 23rd,2024) at 1 pm I was sitting on my balcony at my apartment complex. We had an ****** ***** delivery guy inside our building delivering packages, but he had blocked the entrance to part of the apartment complex which made it difficult for the Two Men And A Truck drivers to get around. Instead of patiently waiting for the driver to come out, one of the movers gets out of the truck and goes up to our building door (which requires a key fob to get in) and starts pounding the door yelling profanities, such as “This m**********r better move this s***t”. He gets back in his truck and the ****** driver comes out and goes to move his van out of the way. The movers then proceed to scream at our delivery driver saying “Damn, what the f**k is your problem blocking the road like that” “D*** *** ****a”. We pay over $1500 in rent to stay at our apartments and this behavior is BEYOND unacceptable. My neighbors said they could hear what they were yelling inside. I understand that someone else holding up your job may be irritating, but never is it okay to be screaming profanities like such in a neighborhood when you are supposed to be professional. Im not even a paying customer, this was just disgusting behavior. I took pictures of the license plate. And then at the end of it all, they were at the wrong side of our complex so they caused a scene for no reason. I took my dog with me on a walk afterwards to take a picture of the truck after they had found their destination. I will never consider using this company for moving and I will never recommend them to anyone.Business Response

On June 6, 2024 the company Two Men and a Truck have helped me move from point A to B. I was told from the beginning before any transactions were made that if anything broke or was damaged in anyway, it would be replaced/ fixed through the companies insurance. Since they’ve moved my stuff my family members’ home has had wall damages and a broken light bulb they never went to fix. They’ve even damaged my furniture leaving holes in my dresser, the top compartment won’t close all the way and there’s a missing handle to another dresser. My brand new gaming monitor also is broken. I’ve reached out the them days in a row and weeks in a row. It’s now July 23, 2024, going on two months and they haven’t made great attempts to replace my items or fix the handle. Just a promise to call back which they rarely do. I’ve sent pictures like they’ve asked only to wait another week for someone to reach out to me.Business Response

On 7/1/24, Two Men and a Truck moved me into my new home. I paid over $1,000.
I had everything boxed up and labeled, but they left the boxes in the garage for me to move inside.
My biggest complaint is that I am missing the power cord and the fire stick that go with my TV. I emailed the company and never heard back.Business Response

Moved on 6/20/24 by this company. Took 2 movers 9 hrs to move 1600 sq foot condo to another less than 1 mile away. Originally quoted 4.25-5.25 hrs by Mary ($700-$880). I spoke to Mary several times and noted boxes, disassembly and reassembly of beds, as well as initial condos location (stairs.) During initial walkthrough was told they had to be “strict on what they took bc they had a large job afterwards at 2pm and no boxes were notated.” NOT MY PROBLEM there was a lack of communication on their end, aren’t they the experts? Once we were a few hrs in I was approached and told that the estimate had changed to 1087.00 or “a little more than that”. I asked how long it would be, mind you they were at thar point there for 2+ hrs. They told me 1-1.5hrs there then the drop off. Then told they couldn’t do the bed because they had no tools and my husband had to look around in boxes to find tools for them. Once they realized they would not make it to the next appointment, we were taken advantage of. They were slow, and many times I watched them just stand there or carry a small item (tray) back and forth. Every last piece of furniture (most all of 1 yr old) has scratches or gauges on it. Old place walls damaged as well as new.
When we got to the end (after 8pm with a start time of 8am- that they were 1 hr late for) I was told the total was $1665- Was put on the phone with owner Ricky who was useless and wasn’t trying to even listen to any of our concerns. The last quote I got was 1087. you would think that an extra $600 would be something to make me aware of? Horrible customer service by him. We paid only because we were under duress. 12 hrs later in 100 degrees moving all day. We had no energy, and mental capacity was severely decreased. The next day when reviewing all items all the damages were discovered. Reached out to corporate on 6/24/24 and was told I would get a call back. Followed up again on 6/28. Requesting $600 back.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.* Has the company addressed the issues of this dispute? I have only spoken to the franchise owner 1 time and that was the time that I took time off from work to go to the location because no one was calling me. He asked me to send a list of damages and pictures and I did and it has been over 1 month since that was done. Andy has emailed me once with a response to the attorney generals complaint. Asked for me to email with any additional questions and concerns- I did that same day and have not heard back from him. He sent some silly calculation showing the truck was at the location for x hrs and we aren’t owed money back for that part but what he doesn’t see is how slow and careless the movers were. If I knew I would have to monitor their breaks and work ethic I would have to not be in this situation.
* If not, why? Wish I knew! I have followed up on everything I have needed to respond to.
* If an offer of resolution was made, has the company fulfilled the proposed offer? No official offer. Franchise owner Ricky said they would come repair or pay for damaged items and we should get money back for the movers milking the time based on their next job being canceled. But have not heard anything other than that initial meeting with him that I had to initiate.

First, you provided two men instead of three. The contract I signed had 3 men and I signed off on this. I understand two showed up, but because of this the job took at least 2-3 more hours than it should have. If I knew two men would show up, I would not have done business with you and went somewhere else for the move.
Second, the team took the last piece of furniture on the list and just left. They did not do a final walkthrough or even notify me. I still had plenty of items in the house that I needed to move. I had to rent a ****** truck and do this myself until late at night just to move all my things by myself. The cost of the haul, gas, miles, and my time has to be taken into consideration since this was all due to your team not doing their job.
Third, I have dozen pictures of all the damage to my old house that was done with the move. I can send them to you as well. I understand this is the cost of doing business moving, but hiring a professional company to do this work should not cause damage. They should have used protective blankets, etc so damage on the furniture and walls would not be so bad.
Last but not least, the two guys were not happy having to carry my couch to my new house on the third floor. They even mentioned this as they were loading the couch from the old house. They did not even unload it from the truck! They could have at least tried to move it up to the third floor. They told me it won’t fit and that’s it. The person living here prior, had a king size bed and frame on the third floor, no reason why a 3 seater couch cannot go up there. Once again, how is it that a hired professional moving company cannot get a couch to the third floor? Maybe if they had 3 men, as agreed, it would not be an issue. I now have to pay to get two or three guys to my house to get the couch to the third floor since your team could not do it. I now have to pay $300 for another mover to move the couch.Business Response
