I went here to get a second opinion. The doctor refused to give me an opinion without seeing a previous opinion. I paid with a credit card and I was refunded due to the doctor not wanting to give an opinion without having one. Next I get a check form beacon for the amount that I was charged to my credit card. I void this check and throw it away. I was already refunded. About a month later I got a bill for the amount that was refunded. I call and eventually get to speak with a S*** S*********. She was a corporate employee I believe. She told me that I did not owe a bill and that I would not receive any other bills. This was May 7 2024. Yesterday 12/3/2024 I received another bill for the same visit. I tried to contact the office manager who did not return my call. I tried to speak with someone at the location but was refused because I would not give my personal information. All I wanted to do was talk to someone but that did not happen so here we are. I want proof that the bill has been cancelled in writing. I have the voice mail from May 7 2024. I have attached the email transcript from the call with Sara S*********.

      On January 5, 2023, I had a Mri of my knee. I was charged a co-pay of $140.00.
When I received my EOB from my insurance, my co-pay was $95.00. I sent them an email stating that they over charged me, and I was requesting a refund of $45.00. I received a voicemail back saying that they applied that over payment to another charge I had. The only other charge I had was for $44.03 in which I paid by check on Feb. 21, 2023. All office visits co-pay are paid at the time of service. I then sent them another request for my refund of $45.00 and a copy of the cleared check for $44.03. They never responded back to me. I thought they would refund me by the first of the year, but it appears they won't. I would like my $45.00 back. I don't owe them anything.

I was scheduled to meet with a surgeon(Dr.K**) of Beacon ****** ***** and I was not given the services by said surgeon but the notifications stated twice on the appointments that I would meet with him but did not meet with him or see him for either appointment. This is a fraud complaint and poor customer service complaint because I was billed and did not get the services promised. I met with an assistant that was neither a surgeon nor a doctor. I need to make a formal complaint about this type of practice. This occurred within the past month.

Needed to get my MRI, ex ray , and medical notes from Beacon Orthopedics sent to my ********* doctorsr. Can not deal with Beacon, have to use a third party company called ***** ****. Can only put request through their online portal.
Not only did they not deliver my records, they lost them and told me it was my responsibility to track through. the USPS my medical records that they supposedly mailed. I explained that my medical records were their responsibility to keep secure, and not mine to continually track down.
I have worked with my ********* provider many times to see if these records have ever turned up.
Beacon tells me there is no one in their organization that I can speak with who can fulfill this request, they use a third party company.

My wife had a scope procedure at this organization on December 1st, 2023 I prepaid $4334 for the surgery on November 28th and an additional payment of $450 on December 15th.

In January, I received another bill for $2000. We started receiving collection calls. I called the organization in January because it looks like they did not apply my payments correctly. The woman in the billing department confirmed that with the ****** insurance, I actually overpaid and were going to send me a refund.

I got nothing and called back in March and she reconfirmed I had overpaid by $1700. I sent them a follow up email and haven't heard back from anyone. I have no other recourse than to submit this to you.

Called to get appointment with my hand surgeon from Tri Health. When I called, I was told no appointments will be scheduled until I paid a balance of $150.00. I asked from what and the very rude person said 2000 - 23 years ago? We had two insurances and she stated that it was only sent to one (that’s their error) and 20 years? I asked for the corporate number after she stated they can do this as they are an entity not hospital?. I had a stroke and my hands are very painful and now, no relief. What this company and Drs. Are doing to patients is unacceptable. What about their oath? I will try one more time or call a lawyer for legal advice. However, that might be more then the $150 or $105.00. Can’t remember. They would not get me a number for the corporate office or where I can contest this bill. Surely, they turned it over if that long ago. Drs. Think about your patients - it’s unbelievable.

I was seen on June 5, 2023 by Beacon Ortho and Dr. S******* due to a fracture to my left large toe. I agreed to and received an xray of the toe.
Upon seeing the x-ray Dr. S******* indicated that it was indeed broken and showed me the location. I asked him what the treatment / course of action was for this kind of break and he told me that there was no treatment -definitely not surgery - at that point, except for perhaps a walking shoe / boot, which would only minimize pain and discomfort and hopefully lead to a faster healing of the fracture. He told me to make a follow up appointment for approx. 1 month later which would be for the purpose of reviewing the fracture if there was still pain, ie. it was not healing. I made the appointment, but later cancelled it as the pain was subsiding and I didn't want to take the time from other patients or pay for another appointment.

Later, I received a bill from Beacon with a line item for $344 for treatment of the fracture. There was a separate line item for $35 for the walking boot/shoe. I was told by the billing department that the $344 was pre-payment for up to 3 more visits and treatments, to which I asked why I'd get treatment for something the Doctor told me could/would not be likely treated if it healed fine on its own. As of today, 11/9/23, the Doctor is stating that there was treatment provided, including in the form of the shoe (which is not treatment) and that he stands by the charge.

I would like the charge removed from the invoice since no treatment was every provided. This is at least dishonest to not disclose this ahead of time and at worst, medical fraud/abuse.

I’ve called Beacon to schedule a appointment to see one of there drs for a issue with my knee. At the very beginning there’s been issues. The guy who answered was very rude very unprofessional. Finally told me there’s a block on my account and transferred me to billing. Then I was informed of a balance from 12 years ago. Seriously. I have no record after 12 years if I’ve paid or not. They said well you didn’t on our end. Since 12 years we have moved a couple times husband gets 2 cancers had to file bankruptcy etc. since Good Sam and beacon merged together there’s nothing they will do about it till I supposedly pay $460. These places since covid inflation are getting plum ridiculous. Finally 10 calls later no one would answer or return my calls. Finally one day they did said well this was sent to a collection agency 11 years ago. Ok all still falls under bankruptcy. Nope not to them it doesn’t. They want the $$$ or you don’t be seen. Wow. Ok give me the collection agency name and number I’ll settle out. Nope the collection agency is no longer in business. Again pay the money or don’t be seen. This is even against the statue of limitations. They don’t care they don’t care about anything or anyone it’s all about the high $$$. Very unacceptable.
