I purchased the Skip-the-Shop service for both of my vehicles for $270. When I purchased for each vehicle in December 2022 and March 2021 the service included pickup and delivery and as the name suggests you truly did "Skip-the-Shop".
On my last appointment, the first since the initial purchases I was notified that they changed this service and it is no longer "Skip-the-Shop". The service now was take the vehicle to the shop, wait for an Uber to take you home, and then get an Uber back to the shop to drive home.... so this is no longer Skip-the-Shop. I called asking for a refund since the service changed and quite frankly, it is now bordering false advertising, and they are stating no refund... what? You completely change a service after the sales and you won't refund customers that can no longer use it?
False advertising and shady business tactics. Don't trust them.Business Response

Our apologies that we did not meet your expectations, but we will not be
refunding your Skip the Shop convenience package. Part of the package
included two free oil changes plus a 5% discount coupon that can be used on
future services. Whether you choose to use our free Uber pickup and
return service, the value of the oil change savings alone is more than what was paid for
the convenience package, so there is no loss to you as the customer. Thank you for being
a valued Tire Discounters customer and we hope to see you again when you need

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.
* Has the company addressed the issues of this dispute? No. There was no offer of refund only an offer of coupons.* If not, why? I will not be using the coupons and they were only a perk of signing up for a service which was being used. For example, I can go to many oil change shops on the weekend. The perk of skip the shop was weekday service.

3\28\23 had my radiator fixed by Arne's Tire discounters due to damage from a previous repair, I recently noticed that my Jeep is no longer maintaining its normal temperature of 212°, while driving I am lucky if it gets above 150 now. 2 days ago I decided to pop the hood and take a look at the radiator fluid and notice that they installed a fluid that is not recommended by my manufacturer and they left the old fluid in the radiator overflow that is recommended by my manufacturer, the fluid that they installed is an inorganic compound green radiator fluid, and the fluid that my vehicle calls for is an organic compound yellow radiator fluid I am now getting sludge mixture all throughout my coolant system my heat is no longer working it blows cold no matter what. So now I am seeking new coolant system components due to the damage that has been caused by Arne's Tire discounters. I just had to go through this process with them over damage they caused to the radiator and parts that they did not install after releasing the vehicle to me saying it was complete, this is very concerning. I contacted ***** the regional manager via text message as soon as I noticed that the incorrect radiator fluid had been installed I could see that the messages were delivered and yet he's still ignored me, I also called him this morning before calling Arne's no answer. I am bringing the vehicle into the shop at 8:40 this morning the reason I am opening this complaint is because I suspect that given I had to involve the better Business bureau last time I'm going to have to involve the better Business bureau this time I do not want a quick fix or a patch this is a major component of my vehicle everyone knows that you do not mix radiator fluid colors and as ASE certified mechanics they should also know what the correct fluid is for my vehicle there is no excuse for this mistake I am seeking a new heater core another new radiator a new thermostat and a new water pump with new coolant lines.Business Response

So the regional manager obviously has not been properly informed of how the radiator got cracked or that it has been replaced, as I have stated in the previous case part of the work order included replacing the vvt solenoid which is located on the top of the motor right behind the radiator mount. I am not sure why he\she is referring back to this previous case, PLEASE clarify! Yesterday I spoke with *** and informed him of my disgust in regards to how I have been treated by his shop, I told him I have spent over 7k with them to have multiple items fixed. I also informed him that I had an appointment with a Chrysler dealer Mon 5\8\23 at 3pm to obtain a work order to include the Jasper transmission and the coolant system along with the vvt module they installed and the computer they installed as well. I informed him that I was tired of the disregard they have shown towards me, my vehicle and the warrantied work they performed.

I took my car to Tire Discounters in July 2022 to fix or replace damaged tire. The tire had to be replaced and I specifically asked for a tire to match the other three: brand, model, size, etc.. I waited several days for Tire Discounters to order and receive the tire as they did not have it in the store. At no time did they inform me they were installing a tire that did not match the size and speed ratings of the other 3 tires.
My car developed issues which I did not realize was the result of the wrong tire being installed. In December 2022 I took my car to the Cadillac dealer for an oil change and tire rotation. The replacement tire was rotated from the back to the front which immediately caused a significant operational issue as if the transmission was continuously slipping. Since it is an all wheel drive vehicle and the tire was moved to the front it immediately magnified the issue.
I ended up taking my car into the dealer 3 times thinking this was a transmission or engine issue. I was persistent last the car was still under warranty. The dealer was finally able to isolate the issue to the tire and charged me $212 as a diagnostic fee.
I immediately went Tire Discounters to get the tire replaced. The advisor assured me this was not the issue and the tire matched. I was treated as if I was a simpleton who did not understand this could not be the issue. He tried to charge me a pro rated cost for the tire and installation. I refused and informed him that the tire was clearly labelled differently. I also requested reimbursement for my diagnostic fee from the dealer he deferred that to his regional manager. I have submitted two requests on Tire Discounters website for a concern and received an email indicating a regional manager would call me. I have received no call, voicemail or email.Business Response

On 7-18-22, Tire Discounters replaced one tire with the same size
tire, but a different speed rating (which would not affect drivability.)
At no time after the installation did the customer return to Tire Discounters
stating that there was a problem with vehicle/tires. Customer believes
that the tire we replaced caused a transmission issue. Customer took vehicle to
dealer on and off for about two weeks and was charged a diagnostic fee that
customer wants refunded. The dealer "misinformed" the customer that
the different speed rating may be the cause of transmission issue. The
different speed rating of the tire would not cause transmission issues as the
tire was the same size and all had similar tread life which is required for an
“All-Wheel Drive” vehicle. For customer satisfaction, we replaced the
tire on 3-25-23 to match the speed rating of the other tires and also
recommended replacing all four tires due to treadwear but customer declined. We
have declined refunding the diagnostic charges because TD was never given the
opportunity to diagnose the claimed transmission issue and we did not authorize
that we would reimburse 3rd party charges. Additionally, the
dealer gave the customer incorrect information regarding the speed rating and
drivability which is the cause for the customer’s concern. Tire
Discounters is declining any refund and will not be reviewing this matter any
further. Tire Discounters considers this matter closed.Business Response

My initial visit to the shop was for them to fix my headlight that was out an oil change and to figure out what was going on with my check engine light. During the initial visit, they told me that I needed my rotors replaced my front brakes. My oil change a new battery and brake fluid and that should resolve the issue. I waited for four hours for them to fix my car only ticket up the road five minutes and my headlight went out and my car was riding rougher than when I initially brought it in. I had to drive an hour and a half home with a car worse than I brought into the shop initially, I received a phone call asking how the service was and if I had any questions to call so the next morning I called to inform them that my car was riding rough or the headlight wasn’t working and that I needed help they offered for me to bring it back, but I live in Lexington so after setting up an appointment I had a Lexington come and pick up my car from home in order to help fix the issue. Lexington stated that it was because they rotated my tires that my car was riding rougher and then I also need to have my exhaust cleaned. I was driving to school in Louisville my car started to putter and had trouble getting up to speed , I called tire discounters on Shelbyville Road in Louisville. This was the third visit I had made for the same initial issue that was never fixed. They supposedly ran a check engine procedure and got three codes ******** and ****** I went to this location because I was scared to drive my car back to Lexington to let my normal mechanic work on it I had a fear that I would not make it, I contacted my mechanic in Lexington, and he told me what the code meant 302 code meant was the second coil that misfired, when I nothing had changed. Brucetold me that my car was still malfunctioning informed me that they didn’t check all four cylinders. I contacted customer service for a full refund. they denied me. instead of fixing the coil they did sparks.Business Response
Date: 03/27/2023
The Area Operations Manager called the customer on or about 3-22-23 and advised that a refund was denied due to the car needing spark plugs. The GM of the location said that after spark plugs were installed and the coil was found to be bad, the part supplier was closed. The customer needed her car and took it after the store advised her that the car still needed more work. When the car was brought into the shop for the check engine light initially, the tech advised her that the best place to start was by replacing the spark plugs and go from there, which is what was approved and done. When the AOM spoke to the customer about the the refund being denied, the customer stated that she was fine. While we apologize that we did not meet the customer's expectations, Tire Discounters will not be providing a refund or billing adjustment for work performed and considers this matter closed. We will not be reviewing any further.Customer Answer

On March 22, 2023 my wife stopped by tire discounters on ********* ** in *********** ** with a screw in her tire it was flat when she left work she aired the tire up and went to the closest tire store. A man came out and gauged the depth of the tire tread and then told her they couldn't plug the tire because the tread depth was unsafe they would have to sell her a new tire then said let me check you may need a whole set. She left and drove 40 miles to my work where I plugged the tire no issues. I call the store and the manager acts like it's no big deal and keeps telling me corporate says to make a dollar and not help someone, I asked if it were his wife, mother or daughter in that situation how he would have felt and his reply was if it was their corporate policy then that's fine with him, needless to say I got very unpleasant to talk to so he gave me corporates phone number and I've called numerous times and each time it goes straight to a voice-mail how convenient. Tire discounters are not out to help the public just to sale something. I'd love to receive a phone call from corporate but I'm not going to hold my breath.Business Response

Over $500 later for Dealership Diagnosis @ ******** **** ***** (Chris ###-###-####) was told that I needed over 3k work of parts that were tampered with and could see where things had been glued to try to cover up problems. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. Please refer this to the ************* ** Tire Discounters. Called BBB and was told, all BBB's communicate so wanted to make sure the correct Business is at fault. I reject this also because I have already communicated with the GM here and was given the offer to travel 1.5 hrs away to another city to have my vehicle worked on at half the price of the dealership. I also reject this offer bc i had to take my vehicle 1.5 hrs away just to determine what Tire Discounters did to my vehicle in the first place. As the diagnosis they gave me, both were incorrect and far from what the real problem was. I also think they did not want to tell me the real problem bc they would be at fault. Just like the dealership said! I would like to be reimbursed for my travel, rental and dealership expense for the problem that did not occur until i too my truck there for an oil change.

What I do not understand is why I was told two separate things that had nothing to do with the real problem. I had to pay and figure it out for myself on my own dime. Again nothing was wrong with my vehicle and I had the vehicle over a year before bringing it to them to be worked on. The problem occurred on their hands and under their care. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.Same as before! They do not accept their mistake and want me to drive 1.5hrs away to have their "best" mechanic look at a problem that never existed until I took my vehicle for an oil change.

Per the regional manager: "I informed the customer that we would not consider doing anything more until the vehicle is taken to our ****** ** location and we are able to inspect it." The customer advised that he was waiting to be able to pay for the work. Our position has not changed and we will not be reviewing or responding further on this matter until the vehicle is inspected and a determination can be made on what needs to be serviced.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. The ***** location is over an hr away. It is not a matter of being able to pay for the services that is now needed because of their mistakes. It us up to me to find the time to be able to make it down to the only location they made an option for me to take my vehicle to.
