I went in with an appointment to get my tire checked out- there was a nail in the tire causing a slow leak. I alerted the employees about where the nail was and how quickly the leak was, as well as the psi changes. After a little over an hour they told me my car was finished but there was no charge, they simply pulled the nail out and did a patch job. Several hours after leaving the psi in my tire continued to drop and upon inspection I found the same nail in the same spot. This means the employees did not fix the tire and I feel they took advantage of a young woman in this situation. The specific location this occurred at was **** * **** ** ************ ** *****

i took my car in for new tires and rims. they previously told me we could finance the payment. i put a down payment of $185.00 to get started. when i came to pick up my car they told me they don’t do financing and i’d have to apply for a credit card. i asked for all work done to my car to be taken off. when i picked up my car i asked them if they had returned all the car parts to my car and they told me my car parts were swapped back to my original parts. i woke up to a call the next day and they were threatening me with police because i “stole property”. i asked them what they meant because they swapped everything back over and they told me they didn’t. i was told as long as i brought the car back i’d get a refund. i haven’t gotten a refund and i keep calling and they continue to push the refund date back. i’m unsure what is going on but i need my return.

My grandma drove in for oil change, the shop pressured her into getting a full brake job, she didn’t even the new pads…
however after 500 miles the right front caliber locks up causes brake problems.
We took her car to the nearest shop and they charged her $87 to conclude. The brake service was not done properly.
The shop told us to bring it back to discount tire where The service was originally done.
I scheduled her appointment at 12:00 for discount tire and they had her wait five hours before fixing the problem. The very next day she drove to my house, saying the brakes felt too soft. I take it for a test drive pop the hood and realize they never reinstalled the brake reservoir cap.
Brake fluid was all over her engine bay and contaminated inside of the brake fluid container. She nearly had no brake fluid. And could have crashed any time due to brake failure!
I would not let her drive the car back to the shop, I asked the shop to tow it, they did not charge us for tow or extra work, only due to me calling them out on how awful a job they did, as I work on cars myself.
My grandma trusted these people to do a good job while I am away. And has been going here for 10 years! Lately the shop has fallen through the floor with poor workmanship.
I’m asking this place to be investigated so no one else can deal with the same problems as my family had to for my grandmother. If she did not have family close things could have turned out much differently…
      Thanks for your time,

This transaction happened on Tuesday February 14th. The transaction was for $205.08 The invoice number is ITW-*********9 and customer service case # i* ********** The nature of this dispute has to do with this business charging me for a service that was never performed and inaccurately diagnosing my vehicle. The staff was very rude and I put in a complaint that has not been addressed in the timeframe I was given.

Refund was denied because it was a customer
supplied part which is not warranted by Tire Discounters.  We charged
labor, as agreed to by the customer, to install the part but there is no refund
due for labor as the work was completed to install the supplied part. We did
however refund the initial diagnostic fee. Tire Discounters has not done anything wrong in attempting to solve your vehicle's service issue. We will not be
reviewing any further and consider this matter closed.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 05/02/2023

      Better Business Bureau:

This issue has nothing to do with the ignition switch that I supplied which works perfectly fine, and everything to do with the fabricated reasons that my vehicle suddenly stopped in the middle of the road 5 minutes after leaving Tire Discounters and not starting back up. Yes, a refund was made for the diagnostic, because it was not adequately done if even done at all, but the entire charge should have been refunded since I was told that this would fix my vehicle’s issue of not starting. I was lied to about the diagnostic process. I was lied to about the reason that an adequate one couldn’t be done due to my vehicle’s fuel level (which was half full). I was lied to about being told that no issues could be detected. Finally, I was lied to about Tire Discounters claiming they had reached out to me multiple times to resolve this issue. If they believe that there is nothing wrong with anything that has happened then they make it very clear what sort of company they run.

On or about the 28 of January or 2023 I visited one of your establishments in hopes of getting a tire rotation and balance. I spoke with a general manager by the name of Josh Flannery, when I picked up my car I was told that one of my lug nuts broke so he wasn't able to complete the task, and I should have the stud cut out at another shop because tirediscounter doesn't offer that service even though he cause the problem..I took my car home and parked it, on February 24 2023 I took the car to try and get it fixed, the technician I took it to said they wouldn't touch the car because of the damage Josh Flannery caused(jammed a bolt and washer in place of the stud he broke off) and suggested that I take it back to he.when I got there he acknowledged he mistake but refused to correct it. I would like to have my vehicle repaired.

Brought my 2012 **** ***** ******** in to ****** tire discounters for transmission, computer & vvt module on driver's side.
quote- $4700 p&l. Within 1 month I was ready for repairs to be done, then they changed the quote to $6700 and Robbie the GM said it was inflation which is a bs line inflation is a slow process not $2k in one month!! Work was done, paid for and picked up my vehicle. In 50mi I noticed things weren't working right, so back to the shop they put it on the lift checked everything out and told me that everything was good to go. around 500mi I noticed that things still weren't right, I get under the vehicle and take a look and found the main mounting bracket from the transmission to the body was completely loose, found my radiator now has a pressure leak @ fan mounting bracket on the same side that was disassembled for the vvt module & the computer has a warped cover. brought it back in & to their attention, they tightened up the bolts for the bracket and told me the radiator is not their problem nor is the computer issue! Before I left the parking lot I decided to get up under there and take a look found that my transfer case that they removed is now leaking fluid and it wasn't before found one broken bolt on an exhaust mount two missing bolts under the vehicle one exhaust spring bolt missing and 4 other bolts loose + , I brought these items to Robbie's attention before I left the parking lot I let him know that it was unacceptable he had two different technicians on my vehicle plus himself they had had it on a lift twice after the fix and nobody noticed these missing, broken & loose bolts, one mechanic who worked on my vehicle quit the shop, Robbie said that he would fix the bolts but would not do anything about the radiator, computer & transfer case. They completely screwed my car up and now after paying 6700+ it just sits undrivable. ****** got bought out and a lifelong customer got ******* too... X-customer, I want my car fixed right!!

On February 18, 2023 I purchased an alignment at the Preston Highway Tire Discounters location.

      **** Preston Hwy
Louisville, KY *****  I received a phone call stating the technician had the vehicle on the alignment rack, but that their computer system did not go to 1990. (Vehicle is a 1990 Mazda Miata) I asked the technician if it was possible to use custom specifications for the alignment, which he replied no. The earliest year model of my car available was 2003. While there are some differences between these two chassis, they are largely the same underneath and the alignment specifications should have been satisfactory. I only mention this because I feel it is necessary, not because it is particularly pertinent to the service that was performed. Approximately 20 minutes after the phone call I was notified that my car was ready. I was given an Uber (thank you, nice customer service) and picked up my car and the paperwork. Upon inspecting the alignment sheet print out (of which I was only given half, not the actual diagram as usual) I noted that many specs remained unchanged or didn't even list an acceptable range. There was also a note staying the rear was non-adjustable, which simply is not true. Miatas have caster, camber, toe in front and camber and toe in the rear. I drove the car and while the steering wheel was straight, I still had the same tracking issues and general drivabilty concerns as before. (Squirrely at highway speed). I chose Tire Discounters because I thought they performed work to a higher standard than other shops. The price of the service reflects that, $143. However it appears that the technician only adjusted the toe of the vehicle and left the other settings untouched, which feels like a gross waste of money to me. They specifically advertise it as a 4 wheel alignment. Adjusting toe on the front wheels and completely ignoring (or refusing) to adjust the rear when adjustment bolts are present is unacceptable. I want what I paid for.

My wife purchased four set of tires on December 9, 2022. Along with the tires, the salesperson, David H********* sold her a road hazard warranty. Upon review of the receipt, I asked to be refunded the amount for the warranty, which we did not want and which we were legally allowed to cancel and be refunded under **** law within the given timeframe. The manager was pleasant and agreed to issue the refund via check. I still have not received that check, almost two months later.
