      They closed my account after I just opened this account and I still have money in this account. This account was also connect for my direct deposit. I don’t understand how they closed my account for suspicious activity as I haven’t even received my physical card in the mail yet and haven’t even had the account for a whole month. I need access to my money in my account.

      They closed my accounts with zero warning.I was able to retrieve my savings but they told me i needed to wait for some transactions to clear on my checking before receiving my funds. They then close my account and refused to give me any money stating they were mailing me a check over a month ago for $3000. I’m single mother of three and a widow the money they actually never sent me were death benefits from my social security to support my kids I’m out of and now very behind on bills. I have emails stating they let the money still be deposited even though I was informed my account has been closed and received a bank statement showing there’s no money and that they removed to almost $3k from my account and that it was closed but not where it went

      Last fall, in a conversation with Huntington Bank I was advised to stop making payments on all four of my mortgages in order to be accepted into their Homesavers Program. The Homesavers Program is designed to evaluate a borrowers past, current, and projected income to support reinstating each mortgage with waived late fees, a different interest rate, escrowed taxes and insurance, and or a new amortization schedule. For months I have been bounced around different employees in the Homesavers Department who ask for different things and don't coordinate. Calls and emails to the Huntington Employee ***** ********* were ignored for over 30 days, only to have her call me today and say she's not willing to go line by line through my bank statement to verify every deposit and expense reported on my P&L. I have one bank account for everything! It's my partner's bookkeeping that tracks business versus personal expenses.

      I learned this morning on a call with ***** that my profit and loss was not acceptable. This was very frustrating news, as it was the same template as the profit and loss that I submitted in the fourth quarter of 2022. That same document that I was asked to update for the first quarter of 2023 as I have more rental income now.

      I learned on the phone call that EVERY withdrawal from my bank account is being counted against me. Personal, one time, family expenses are being counted against me. I am not allowed to make mortgage payments to Huntington currently, but because I am spending the money and not letting it sit in my account it doesn’t count towards my qualifying income. If I was allowed to make mortgage payments, that money obviously wouldn’t be going towards voluntary personal expenses like Christmas gifts. A professional analyst should be able to look through a bank statement and distinguish between a personal and business expense….

      I was a victim of identity fraud on November 8 & 9.

      Please see the attached information regarding the identity fraud events.

      We have identity theft insurance through ****** and after working with them they sent me to ******** ********* in order to get the funds reconciled. ******** requires my banking institution to provide a letter stating that the transactions were fraudulent before they can proceed with processing the claim.

      When I discussed this case initially with Huntington in November, they didn't have access to the police report and stated that the charges were authorized. I asked Huntington on 1/31/23 to re-open the case as we now had access to the police report "theft by swindle" and I was requesting a formal letter stating the charges were fraudulent. I never heard a response back.

      I contacted Huntington again on 2/10/23 asking for an update in which a representative stated that it could take up to 90 days to hear a response. I then reached out again on 3/16/23 and they stated that they would send a letter in 7-10 business days and all I received in the mail was a client questionnaire (see attached).

      I then reached out on Thursday, March 30th requesting a formal letter again, and the agent stated that he would send this information back to the research team. I received a call on April 5th, 2023 from a ****** ****** (###-###-####) stating that all they could do is provide me with a letter stating that I was "tricked into buying cards" which has nothing to do with what had happened. I have tried returning his call and he sends me straight to voicemail.

      Since January, Huntington has had access to the police report and a request for a formal letter for ********. See all the attachments below.



      I am seeking help in getting a letter from Huntington, stating that this was fraudulent activity, in order to submit this to ********. This was a traumatic experience and a very sophisticated scam which has devastated our family.

      On 3/22/20223 I was involved in an accident where I had to be rushed to the hospital and soon after put under anesthesia to undergo surgery. When I woke up I did not have my purse nor cell phone, which I found out later was stolen. I immediately contacted Huntington Bank to lock my card from my apple watch.

      The next day when I was released from the hospital I got a new phone at which time I logged into my mobile banking to find over 10 unauthorized transactions were made on my account using my debit card. I filed a police report for theft and fraud immediately after contacting the bank and disputing the charges.

      I recently found out that Huntington has denied my dispute even after providing documentation that I was hospitalized during that time. I have tried reopening my dispute to be escalated within the bank with no success.

      During a recession I cannot afford to just let $4731 go to a scammer. I am a single mother to 5 young children and this loss will cause me to be evicted, car repoed, electricity disconnected and possibly lose custody to my children.

      Please assist me with regaining access to my funds so that I can continue life as I knew before I was scammed.

      The company is refusing to honor my dispute due to stating biometric we’re used to access my bank information when that is not the truth. The person who stole my phone had access to my phone code which they used to access my saved passwords and access the banking app yo change my PIN code and then used my card. This is the information I was given from the police which the bank is refusing to honor. They are saying that just because I have face biometric set up on my phone that I am responsible for the thief being able to access my accounts. Which is totally unacceptable. I have been through a tragedy and now they are causing more trauma to my life. I understand this is a large sum of money however it’s my loss that I cannot afford to take. They are also refusing to share this biometric history login with me at my request due to privacy reasons. But how when it’s my privacy. I really need help with a resolution to this situation

      I tried depositing $929.00 (Nine hundred and twenty nine) dollars into my bank account using the atm which I do normally.

      Atm took all my money but didn’t deposit into account and advised me to contact financial institution which I did.

      I deposited money from my ******* *** account into my Huntington account (checks number *** and ***). The Huntington account was closed but I have not received the money from Huntington yet. I have called several times and get different answers each time. Huntington cannot provide a trace # or account number that the money was sent back to.

      I have called Huntington several times since the end of January 2023, each time I talk to a representative, I get a different response. No one seems to know where the $1309 was sent. One of the reps told me to call ******* *** (where the checks were from), ******* *** indicated that Huntington needs to give me a trace number or account where the money was sent, or a cashiers check. I haven’t received this information after multiple requests

      I have been trying to resolve an is*** with Huntington Bank on a lost check and car payoff for 30 days. First they said they didn't have the check, then they said they "found" the check payoff check, & discovered that the check we received on 02/06/2023 was short and would not payoff the check. The payoff amount for 02/06/2023 is $35,531.24 and then amount we received was for $35,211.00. Then on March 22 they confirmed they received the new payoff check and applied it to the loan effective 02/06/2023 and the loan is now paid off.
      Today, March 27th, they sent me a loan payment book for the car on the $ they already received.
      This bank should be notified and the public mad4e aware they should NEVER do business with this bank.
      Please contact the bank and ensure my credit report is not impacted.

      I opened a checking and a savings account at the branch in River Forest, IL about 3 weeks ago. I was told I did not need to deposit any money. Three weeks later, I deposited a check from my employer for $1129.39. When I deposited the check into the checking account on the 24th, I was told a hold was put on it.  I checked the balance of the account and it was two cents, then the next day the balance was $600 at 3:11am, but that was taken back out at 3:11am.

      I returned to the bank on Saturday, and they said they would call customer service. Customer Service said I might have ordered something. I said I had not. They told me the money should be in the account on Monday. The money is not in the account. The balance today is forty-one cents.

      My account was closed on Feb 15th I have yet as of today March 21st to be notified at all. I was locked out of the account then I called and they told me that. I have called several times and spoke to representatives and supervisors and I keep receiving the runaround. I keep receiving different information each time I call. The bank owes me $5740.14 and I have yet to receive the reasoning as to why my account was closed. Yet to know, When I’m getting a check of my balance that is owed to me. They keep telling me they have to investigate my deposit account when the only accounts that deposited into my account were payroll, PayPal and any other smaller deposits were all including these deposits, accounts that I have always received deposits into the account prior. Nothing was new or different! They are not working with me and keeping my money. I am also filling a complaint with the federal reserve and CFPB. I want answers and for someone to be honest with me about what is going on and return my money that is owed to me. I have obligations and this has been well over 30 days and no one will talk to me. Nothing in the mail has been sent to me. No phone call. No one will let me speak to anyone and I keep getting different information each time I call. I have spent countless amount of hours on the phone and still have no information. They are holding my money and keep continuing to lie to me and give me the runarounds when I call. This is unacceptable.

      I am rejecting this response because: the company has not directly contacted me. A ******* ***** called me and I called back 10xs and left 4 voicemails and have yet to get a call back. I have called myself to the 800 number since she never returned my call!. After calling the 800 number and spending hours on the phone I was given the runarounds again. Then I was told to take paperwork to the branch which I did within an hour. I could of did this 6wks ago if someone had contacted me and gave the right information. I called again today and they said no one reviewed any paperwork. They are still NOT contacting me, give misinformation and doing nothing to give me the $5740.14 they owe me back. This bank is keeping my money and not working with me and no one has contacted me by email, mail or phone in 6weeks. I am beyond frustrated and I have lack of confidence in them since their effort is non existent. This again is a lie. No one contacted me, well actually someone left a voicemail and never returned my call back after I left several voicemails and callbacks. So NO I was not contacted !!! The paperwork needed was to prove my payroll was my business llc which I had deposits from that llc for over a year so there is no basis on them closing the account or keeping my money. This is unresolved.  This bank has not contacted me at all

      I am rejecting this response because: no one from Huntington bank has contacted me. They have not contacted by phone, email or email. They have made no attempt to contact me. Only a ******* ***** called once at 530pm last week and left a voicemail. I called back over tan times no call back from them. No one has contacted me!!! This is false information from Huntington bank!
