I wouldn't even give 1 star. Paid my account in full (March 2024); the next month I recieve a statement saying I owe $5.93 in interest. I paid the full amount by the due date online. There is no option to pay any other amount then amount owed. Thats how they get you! So I call in hopes since I make timely payments & been loyal customer they could wave the fee. Oh no, the customer service lady says she can't do that & I have to pay that amount. I ask to speak with her manager and she says "no"; needless to say she hung up on me (I used cuss words, not gonna lie). So I call back & speak with another lady. She assures me, that the fee will be waved. Well that was easy, right? WRONG! This month I recieve another bill in the amount of $13.86; the $5.93 plus LATE FEE & interest. I'm so upset, because of what I was told last month & what has transpired. Needless to say I get transferred to escalation department, when all I wanted was to speak to a MANAGER! I try to go online and pay what she says I owe as of today $15.86 & that is not even an option to pay more that what I owe. This is how they keep gwtting you in interest fees. I should have not got a late fee, which damages my credit. So I am closing my account & NEVER USING COMENITY CAPITAL BANK AGAIN!

They practice deception. I had an NFL Visa card for years. Spend 10’s of thousands of dollars on the card annually. They give you six months promotional terms for NFL season tickets. Paid in full by statement date but they get you by saying it’s 6 months from date of purchase which is easy to confuse. I am sure this is why they do that.. then for next 6 months they charged interest even though balance was paid in full. I called customer service, which should be called customer disservice, and they couldn’t care less. I complained and they said they would stop the interest accumulation and 1 hour later my account was blocked. I called they said they couldn’t tell me and someone would call me. 1 month later I called and they said they suspected fraud because I charged my NFL season tickets …not very suspicious.
I closed out my account and will be closing my AAA card as I realized it is from Comenity.
Stay away from them, they are unethical and don’t care how they make money. I will be telling everyone I know about this.

Do not deal with this Bank if you have any other options. I was contacted by this Bank in their attempt to reach a credit card member. I am in no way related to the card member nor am I a customer of this Bank. It was a complete imposition and unauthorized use of my phone number. They obviously will use any means to contact a member outside of legal means.

I have a proven Fraud charge on my account so Comenity bank closed the old card out, they sent me a new one, but no pin, (Still waiting, and it's been over 12 days). I can't seem to get connected cause when I call number on back of card or "any other" number associated with Comenity Bank, I get a recording that says, "you do not have the authority to dial this number", *******-****, what kind of customer service is that?
I received a message from a rep on facebook messaging (see screenshot) about the pin number and he said the blocking is a "telecom" problem, but why is it affecting "ALL" numbers associated with Comenity Bank, not just the one listed above??? How can you have customer support on phone when customer support phone number doesn't work...I haven't figured that one out yet...The reps seem to be rude and indifferent. I wonder if they treat all their good paying customer that way?
Bread Financial cash Back ******** ******* Card customer service is rude to say the least and they need to get Americans who speak American English to work in American Accounts so they can be understood. As of the present time, April 27, 2024 I still cannot get a phone call thru and I still have not received the pin number for the new card.

Comenity Bank also offers Bread Pay financing service and let me tell you it's as bad as Comenity. I applied through Wayfair they said approved for $2000 I picked the items I wanted then they re-ran my information again and now said they need to verify identity and to upload front and back of D/L. I did just like it asked then called in the morning because after uploading the ID it sent a an stating need to verify Identity. Before, calling I got an email from them showing they pulled an Equifax report score shows 666. I called in the morning they did more I/D info, social, dob, address, texted my phone to make sure the phone number was correct. Then they say ok now it has to go to approval or decline dept. I was like ok she said I would get an email on the results. Got the the email says I got decline reason was could not verify identity..Then further down the notice it says it had to do with Transunion but they pulled an Equifax report? Definitely scamming folks for there info!! Don't trust Comenity Bank or Bread Pay!

I had a credit for $5000 with community capital bank.I paid for my hearing aids which cost $2,250.They told me I had 1 year to pay it off without interest so I had paid at the end of the year $1,900 with a balance of $350.It was misleading because I didn’t know they will charge interest on the full amount of $2,250 instead of the remaining balance of $350.So I ended up paying $700 in interest for a $350 balance which should be illegal.Because majority of the loan was paid off.

I took out a loan with Comenity Capital Bank under the name Smile Generation Financial for some dental work. If I had known at the time that the APR would shoot up to 32.24% after the promotion period was over, I definitely would not have taken the offer from the dentist's office. This is just my opinion, but I think that is a type of fraud of care. I have witnessed people come into said dentist's office in dire straights to get work done but can not afford it. This loan is immediately thrown at them, and they have no other choice but to take in order to get the care they need. Then find out later that 3/4 or more of their payment is going to interest charges. It is a loan that you begin to feel will never be paid off. Whatever you do, do not use this bank. There is a reason that they have a 1-star review.

Academy Sports is using this a bank for their credit card. I signed up for the card, but never got it. Then they sent me a phone text to tell me I was late paying my bill, but I had never received the bill. I went to Academy Sports to pay the credit card bill. Paid the bill, then waited several days before calling them to see if it was paid. When I called, they ask for too much info. I had no idea what my account number was, so I had to give them other info. It was difficult to understand the person I talked with, as it was a foreigner. After being transferred to someone else that was difficult to understand, I told them I wanted to close my account. They said I needed to call Customer Support and gave me another number to call. I called the new number, and the electronic answering service asked for the exact same info again. Then I had to wait and wait to talk to another pardon, but instead of a person, I got an electronic answering service for the 3rd time who wanted all the same info for a 3rd time. I told them I want to close my account. They wanted my account number again, which I still did not know. I kept asking to speak with a representative. I was told they could not close my account and stay on the line. When I finally talked with a person, I had to give all of my info again and was told my account was closed? I wanted it verified that it was closed, and I was told they would mail certification to me. Keep in mind that each time I talked with a different person I was told they did not have my address! So….I have no idea if I will ever get the verification, since I never received my card nor my bill!

They are scam artists, they don’t let you know when to pay your account off to avoid interest fees. Their customer service team is very unprofessional. They are smart and sarcastic. They are literally no help at all.
My account was paid off completely a day late because their website was down for scheduled maintenance. They charge me a late fee on an account that’s paid off. They also close my account without letting me know and then tried to say that I close my account and they keep charging me late fees on an account that’s paid off.
They are the worst customer service and credit card company that I have ever dealt with.

Someone has started an account with them in my name but will not do anything about it unless I give them more information. I asked for a digital signed email and they declined. They are now knowingly maintaining an account that is fraudulent and they don't care. Customer service and organizational security is a mess, if they are not truly verifying online applications. Customer service did not care because the company does not have any standards.
