I have purchased back in July 2022 a master bedroom with 2 night stands and a dresser with a mirror from El Dorado..Also we added a dining table and chairs but we changed our mind on them and kept The master bedroom set. We qualified for 10000$ and 24 months no interest as we’ve been told at the store. Then we called and canceled the table and the chairs and that made us a huge problem in this moment. At that time we knew that we have 24 months no interes so we did make an automated payment for the amount that we had calculated in 24 months.I few days ago I checked online to see how much balance we have left since we signed up for autopay and automated payments we did not get the statements in mail. And I was really unpleasant surprised when I saw that I got a charge of Interest fee on purchases of the amount of (1400$) I have called the bank multiple times to explain them that and spoke with several people that only worked there like robots And no one tried to to help us.
I was requesting to make an exception and void this fee.Since it was misunderstanding and lack of communication.
Since I didn’t have no problem paying the amount that I own right away.
      Awful bank
      Horrible customer service
      They are ripping off customers
      Stay away

We have a credit card for Academy sports through Comenity. They have repeatedly tried to charge us interest on a zero balance statement. This does not seem to be the correct way to do business. We have contacted both Academy and Comenity about this on going issue.
      Thak you for your time

Having used credit cards responsibly for over 30 years, what this Bank did to me was beyond anything I could have imagined.
I made had two rather large charges in January when I switched insurance providers. I paid that balance (just shy of $4900) a week later and three weeks prior to my statement deadline of 2/19/24.
The day I paid my card, I went on vacation to a place where this card is the sole partner in the loyalty program. The card was accepted at check-in with a temporary deposit. Later that night, the card was declined at a dinner with friends. Embarrassing. I fiddled with the app thinking I locked the card by accident.
The next day, it was declined again. I contacted customer service, and learned that because I made a rather large payment, they were placing a "hold" on that amount, and in the meantime would block access to the card until the payment cleared. I have never had a credit card block access to available credit while a payment was pending - and this payment was an electronic transfer from one of the largest banks.
I filed a complain with the CFPB (which I suggest everyone else with issues do as well). The bank's response was "according to our Service agreement, we can deny charges on the account for ANY reason. Yes. Any reason.
So what it boils down do is - I was basically blocked from using my available credit and was punished for - paying my balance. Had I not paid my balance before leaving, I would have access to all of that credit.
I've tried to wrap my head around this for weeks and it still doesn't make any sense.

If I could give this company negative stars I would.
.When I received my December statement, the account had a balance of $5,520.35 that was due by 1/20/2024. On 1/6/24 I paid the statement balance of $5,520.35. I never received a statement in January via email or USPS. Now I get the February statement and I am being charged a late fee and an interest fee for the account that I paid in full. This is a predatory practice that I will not accept. I understand daily interest very well and know how it works. If an account says NEW BALANCE and payment is due on a specific date you cannot charge me interest on the account if there is no balance. The account was activated and 18 days later I paid it in full. I want action taken on the interest applied to the account. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau regarding this if you do not refund me the interest I just had to pay with the company. You are stealing from a good paying customer and the $18+ dollars I will not allow to bring my credit rating down. I will be sure to advise anyone that is thinking about using your company for credit to look elsewhere.

I had an account with ***** that Comenity Capital Bank was issuer of the card. I paid account in full one day late and closed the account. I spoke with ***** representatives and with Comenity reps. Both told me my account would be cleared and I didn't owe anything. Now I am getting rude phone calls from Comenity stating I owe a lot of money and that's not true. I tried explaining to rep but nothing I said was heard. I am not going to pay a late fee that was agreed to be credited to my account and my account is closed. I certainly am not going to pay late fee on top of late fees like Comenity is trying to do to me now. This is fraud and I am so upset with them. They are reporting this gross fraudulent activity to the credit bureau which is having a negative impact on my credit. Please do this right thing and clear this balance and report my account correctly. Paid in full as agreed and closed with zero balance.

I did three prequalifications, where each one didn't save, so I had to keep redoing them, by the time I was finally able to submit a hard application after getting the business I was working with (Lasik) reached out to their representative to confirm my information wasn't in the system it denied me.
First attempt - Pre qual was $7400
      Second Attempt - $6200
      Third Attempt - $5200
      Fourth - Rejected
This company is awful and makes me not want to work with them for any reason. I feel more secure paying an actual company interest than potentially having to deal with this company for 0% interest since it feels like they will do everything they can to screw you with the service they provide.

I am a 77 year old senior citizen on Social Security.
I went to Miracle Ear. My contact was **** ***** in Hammond Louisiana.
He LIED TO ME and said I had to sign to have a monthly plan for $65 a month. I said I can’t afford that.
He took an application, which I thought was for the aids. He ran my social security number without my permission and when he saw I had perfect credit he dropped it to $25 a month for a year.
My insurance WAS paying for the aids. HE DID NOT tell me I would have a free 3 year warranty.
***** told me I had to sign these papers, my fault for trusting him. I thought it was for the aids.
The paperwork said Health Plan NOT
      COMENITY CAPITAL BANK.
My entire experience with him there didn’t feel right.
The very next morning Tru Hearing (Miracle Ear) called to ask my opinion on the experience I encountered.
I told her how uncomfortable I was and what transpired…she immediately cancelled the contract and called COMENITY to cancel theirs.
Now, there are no hearing aids and COMENITY refuses to cancel.
The cancellation was within 24 hours

Unbelievable how bad these paople are. Their online web banking sucks, they don't give you access to it without your full account number, which they don't send to you. The receptionists have to be the biggest idiots I've ever dealt with. I gave them my checking account and routing number and they are saying my bank, WF, won't accept their payment. I literally can't pay my bills. The fact I used these guys for a tuition solutions loan for my chiild is insane how incompetent they are. Owners of Comenity, Bread Financial, and Tuition Solutions, you are all going to hell.

I had an American Automobile Association (AAA) affinity card through Bank of America for decades, and all was good. AAA changed the bank affiliation to Comenity bank a couple of years ago and doing business with Comenity has been a horrible experience. I have never had so many routine purchases placed on hold for no good reason, which was a huge annoyance. I received a letter 2/20/2024changing my credit card interest rate to *****% effective 5/2/2024. (APRs for balance transfers *****% and cash advances *****%).
I pay may balance in full every month, but out of principle, I have closed my account with Comenity. I cannot support a bank that employs predatory interest rates. They also decided not to honor the $27.98 cash back reward they owed me because I closed the account. They were not even willing to apply it to my final balance. Run away from Comenity as quickly as you can.

1 star is too many!!! I was clueless enough to have 2 accounts with this Bank. I was approved for $10,000. I was making every payment on time and all of a sudden I went to use the card again and they dropped my $10,000 limit down to $100 dollars over what I owed. Purchase a car and credit score dropped so they took away $7,000 from what my limit was. Called to see why and they are monitoring credit scores. If it drops they take away from original agreement but if your credit score goes up your limit stays the same. Do your research before you sign your blood on their contract.
