I was informed that *************************** has a 2-year cycle, so after 2 years, you just keep getting the same issues you got 2 years ago. What? What other magazine in the world never makes new issues and just keeps putting out the same ones? Lazy! Having said that, it is the best magazine out there for ages 0-3. But only for the first two years you have it, apparently.Highlights for Children, Inc.

Yes, our Highlights *************************** has recently been switched to a 2-year cycle as most children only stay in this level for 2 years. Beginning with the Jan22 issue, a selection of 24 Hello issues will be mailed each month- that were originally published from 2017-2020 (with a few slight changes). If the child is ready, we could transfer the subscription to the High Five level which offers a completely new issue each month without any duplicates. Highlights magazines and activity programs are excellent! I got a subscription to the magazine and a Mystery-Travel Activity set for my 3 grandchildren for the past year and they simply loved it. In fact, though they've outgrown the magazine, I was all set to renew the subscription to the Mystery Program only to find that it is no longer available.. I would love it if they would start it up again--as the children really got into the travel and solving the mysteries throughout.Besides these subscriptions, Highlights also offers many wonderful Find It books where the children find many objects within fun pictures. I enjoy doing these along with them too!!Highlights for Children, Inc.

I bought 3 subscriptions last year for my grandchildren. Today they took $39.96 out of my account TWICE. I called and a foreigner who I could barely understand said I had continued my subscription. This is a lie!!! Don't ever buy from these scammers and liars. He said my money would be in my account in 3-5 business days. I'm contacting an attorney to see what I can do. Be aware... don't order from these people!Highlights for Children, Inc.

It seems that the charges are for a renewal of the Highlights magazine processed through continuous service enrollment. An email is sent about 30 to 45 before the renewal letting customers know it would be expiring and would automatically renew on the card previously used for the subscription so that the child did not miss an issue. After reviewing our records with the information you provided, I was unable to locate an account with the information provided on your review so I personally sent a email to you regarding this matter and the agent involved with your concern will be coached on how this was handled. A great resource for children, but they will harass you for payments even after youve already paid off the account completely.I made my FINAL account payment in August of 2022. Today, 10 October 2022, I received another bill for the same items I had just paid off in August.Now, keep in mind I havent been a customer for very long. In total Ive made only SEVEN orders from them, and FOUR of those orders I CANCELED. However, my bank statements show at least EIGHT completed transactions.Im not going to sit here and detail their payment process, but essentially you can group items together and make a single payment/transaction. (If you know, you know.) I ALWAYS grouped my items together so that I could make one lump sum payment each time. THREE orders should be THREE transactions, yes? And yet, as previously mentioned, my bank statements are showing at least EIGHT transactions. Ive obviously overpaid/been paying for items that are already paid off. Not to mention that I never even received one of the orders I paid for (February 2022 Doghouse ******************* 2022 Penguins Skiing), and I've paid for the order THRICE now.Honestly, you can get educational materials literally anywhere. You can even get Highlights magazines at the Dollar Tree. Save yourself the headache and NEVER ORDER FROM THESE SHYSTERS.Highlights for Children, Inc.

In October 2021, I ordered the Highlights Five for my grandson.The first issue that arrived came in January.Almost everyday this year I have been getting emails to renew my subscription.Last week I received a notice from my bank that Highlights had attempted to charge my account for a renewal subscription.Fortunately the bank denied the charge.Thursday, I again got an email thanking me for my renewal.I called the number on the email, which is CDC Global ********************************************************* told the person in this call center to cancel any renewal. Her response was to try to sell me something else.I then sent an email response to Highlights requesting cancellation .I also said they were lucky I am not at the moment pursuing legal action for unauthorized use of my credit card.I am still getting unwanted emails from them about renewing the magazine.It is a shame that what was once a wonderful childrens item is destroyed by unethical practices.*************************Highlights for Children, Inc.

I renewed three grandchildren's subscriptions early - in April for subscriptions that expire in December. I was promised the best rate and that I wouldn't continue to receive renewal subscription requests. I have been contacted again and again and again to renew (hoping to have me unnecessarily pay again no doubt) and no one at customer service can seem to figure out how to confirm they have recorded my payment. I have a cancelled check and the copy of the subscription renewal listing the three kids and what they should receive. I outlined all of this in an email on 8/30; was asked a question and responded 9/6 again listing the kids and what they needed, never got a reply and then sent another request for confirmation 9/12 and got a reply 9/15 asking what I needed as they apparently don't have the email chain. Meanwhile unending email and mailers for renewal. I believe this is intentional to collect money not due - unethical and fraudulent. I am going to request an immediate refund and highly recommend consumers do business with more reputable companies for gift subscriptions. Highlights is apparently hoping people renew unnecessarily and their customer service is nothing short of incompetent.Highlights for Children, Inc.

The renewal orders, however, were all for the next levels up so our system still thought you needed to renew the current magazine levels. Your account was successfully adjusted/canceled on 10/5/22.
