    This shop doesn't value customer service nor the customer's time. I had a transmission installed last year and the remanufactured transmission lasted 2 months before a catastrophic failure. They replaced the transmission and advised that I needed a new lower ball joint on the driver's front. Although I had warranty on this part from another shop I chose to have them replace the part to save me time and money. MISTAKE. I currently have my vehicle in for repair at another shop this week and was advised that the ball joint was installed incorrectly and that the retainer ring was not in place. This is a serious safety issue and needed to be replaced. I called Simon at A-Dayton Automotive and told him I needed to get this replaced and would be seeking reimbursement for the part (no labor). Simon stated "we don't reimburse, period". I explained the situation and once again demanded that he reimburse me for the part that was under warrant and installed incorrectly to begin with. Simon stated, and I quote, "you aren't going to tell me how to run my business, I'll fix it just get it to me" I said "you want me to continue to drive on this knowing it's a safety issue that you have caused?" He said I'll tow it. I declined this option because of the inconvenience to me, the consumer, and my time. I advised Simon that I would no longer be a customer and that this is not how you should treat your customers if you would like to retain them. I worked in the automotive industry for 13 years managing automotive repair shops and from first hand knowledge by taking the approach of "we will only repair it not have someone else fix it" screams of poor service and mechanics that want to hide their inability to provide quality service. Customer service is an art and this business lacks in both expertise and customer service. My personal opinion is to avoid having your vehicle serviced at this sub-par automotive service facility that doesn't value the customer or their time.
