      I just recently found out I have over 8500 Speedway points, I have been attempting to use them since 5/26/24. I called customer service when I originally tried using them to get gas discount. Was told in the store (Florence Ky 41042} that my 4 digit code # was wrong. Got home and called Speedway cs# and was given the choice to reset my code. I have tried several times this week to get gas discount and finally went back into store to pay there and have points applied thru cashier. After explaining situation to cashier, I attempted to prepay in store and not at pump. Was told again code number invalided?

      Since April 4th 2024 Speedway has not been given me my rewards for my gas and other purchases when I go to my transactions there is a big red zero under multiple transactions when I call in customer service wants to tell me it's a mistake on the app but I have watched my points before and after I pump gas and it is not giving me my points

      AT 1:31 pm i walked into Speedyway Gas Station located in culloden wv. Address 2399 rt 60, culloden wv. I Attempted to purchase 2 packs of cigarettes and 20 dollars in Gas. I use my speedy rewards and attempt to pay with my Cashapp card. I insert my card, put in pin. And his register lags. He tells me its been doing that all day, and told me if i wait til its done spinning ( the little icon on the card machine) then insert my card again it will go thru. Well i did as the cashier instructed and this time instead of saying trans. Failed. It said insufficient funds. The total was $36.37 and i had literally just transferred $40 from my savings on the parking lot before walking inside. So i tell him im going to get my phone to check cash app. So i did. I had 2 notifications for 2 speedway transactions. 1st one was for $12.72 at 1:31pm the 2nd was for $36.32 at 1;33pm . I have no clue what the 12.72 was for! The only transaction i attempted was for $36.32. After the first failed attempt at the register (which didnt fail it took 12.72. ) thats why the 2nd transaction said insufficient funds. So i moved $40 more out of saving into checking while the clerk stood and watched me . The amount balance went from 0 to $40. Then i had him ring me up for the 2 packs and 20 in gas. I ran my card and it took thr money off my card. I was watching my cash app . I got the speedway notification for another $36.32. Then the card reader said insufficient funds again. Now my almost $100 out. I walked out of the gas station with nothing. No cigs. No gas. And i had to go across the street and spend another $20 to get gas so i could go pick up my son. When i tried to get the employees to help me get my money back. They told me there was nothing they could do i needed to call cash app. They charged me 3 times. I was mortified.

      I attempted to call the customer and was unsuccessful. I then sent them an email first apologizing for the frustration of having to deal with this in the first place. I then explained to them that no transaction was completed and what they are seeing are PreAuth holds placed by their bank in Speedway's name. Since our customer used a Cash App card, we do not have a way to speed up the hold process to get their funds released. I made sure to relay that the funds were going to come back to her account per her bank's terms and conditions. To make up for the inconvenience, I offered Speedy Rewards points towards a Speedway gift card.

      Used debit card at speedwaY pump the on miller lane in dayton,ohio. Purchase price was for 27.00 however, speedwaY has placed a 127.00 hold on my card. There are no notices inside or outside the store warning of miscellaneous charges or holds on cards. This is a grievous inconvenience on the part of speedway that should be addressed.

      I attempted to call the customer to discuss the complaint but there no answer so I sent an email apologizing for the hold taking place and explained what exactly the preauth hold was and how Speedway could help. I made sure to tell our customer that we were only collecting for the $27 received, NOT the $126. I also gave our Credit Customer Service number as well so he can get faster assistance in the future.

      I have a Speedway gift card for gas. That is supposed to be used at any convenient gas station. I go to the nearest gas station Speedway. Closest to me, I'm on my way to a job. I approached cashier with the gift card. And she tells me they don't accept them and I ask why and they say because they are not corporate. Whatever that means, but yeah, pretty much lost out on the job and. Spent money on the gift card I can use.

      Spoke with customer and let them know that most of the stores in their area are Speedy Expresses. These are franchise stores that only run under Speedway's name but are not apart of our programs. I informed the customer that there was one cooperate Speedway near him who would be able to accept his gift card. Myself and another rep also informed him that we had no way of transferring the funds anywhere else other than to another Speedway gift card (that he could pick up from the corp. Speedway). Customer was a bit frustrated by the confusion but seemed to understand by the end of the call.

      I am rejecting this response because:there is no reason why anyone should be given false information. In this case,I was lied to about how convenient your giftcards can be.that is the only reason why I decided to get the card.

      Not one of your employees or anyone have the right to miss lead the public with false advertising just to sell their products. Because at the end,I was the person who ran out of gas in the middle of rush hour traffic on the freeway.and if you ever had to push your truck off the freeways off ramp alone.,then you would understand how scary and dangerous that can be.i nearly lost my life trying to get gas,I had to ask other people if they can help me with change because your giftcards didn't work at "every speedway fuel station "like you mentioned when I got the card.i understand it's money you are most worried about and not my life. And that is the reason why I don't accept your response. I should be compensated for the emotional scars that you have left me with. Next time you should put in your ad."please be aware that this card can and will only be accepted at speedway fuel station.and the person who I spoke with looked up the location of speedway close to me.i had to tell them myself they do not accept the card at that location. They were not even aware.then they say "oh yeah sir,you have to go to speedway not speedway express.".I say"now you tell me."and the call ended with your employee,laughing then hanging up on me.i survived combat in the worst places in the world, then I nearly lose my life for a 25$giftcard.do you see the importance of my issue now?so I would like to be compensated because that changed my life and I am now afraid.

      This location and the gas station across the street have restricted access to the restrooms from the public. How can a gas station right off the highway where travelers frequently stop at be allowed to restrict access to the restroom. I am pregnant and tried the gas station across the street then came to the speedway where they restricted access tot he restroom. At this point I was shaking and asked if they could let me use the restroom. I was denied. At that point I tried to go back to my car but couldn’t. I asked for napkins because I was going to have to go outside or have an accident on myself. I walked around my car a bit before getting in my car to drive up the street to use the restroom outside. It was dehumanizing to have to use the restroom outside and be denied access to the restroom when it’s a basic human function.

      The most recent occurred May 6, 2024. This is one of several that transpired at a Speedway in or around my area of residence. May card was read by the chip reader, the clerk says it was denied. the balance of my card was $39.00. I was forced to use a credit card to purchase gas. Now my card has a hold for the amount, bringing my account to $0.00. This is my SSI account. Now I am told i must wait for a week or more to release the hold on my account. The very same circumstances has happened with my Partners Prepaid debit card 3 or more times recently. It seems to me that people with low income may be a target of the Speedway LLC. I'm looking for some compensation or resolution so that this stops happening to individuals like myself.

      Called *** ***** to discuss her compliant with the holds she has experienced on her debit cards while shopping at Speedway. She informed me she was using a Direct Express card at the time of purchase to which I let her know that we've been having a lot of issues with those types (prepaid debit) of cards during fuel transactions. I then explained what causes the miscommunication between the merchant and bank that results in preauth holds, credited our customer 10,450 points towards a $10 Speedy Cash & Merch gift card for her inconvenience and also emphasized to her she may keep and reload the card to avoid this being a problem for her in the future.

      I paid for $30 in gas with cash. The cashier entered my money on the wrong pump and said there was nothing she could do because someone already pumped the gas I paid for. I told them I couldn’t leave because my gas light was on and I needed gas. ***, said he was the manager, tried to give me $4 back and said this is what the person didn’t pump. I gave them $30 for gas, $48 total with other purchases, and I told them I couldn’t leave without gas that I paid for or my cash that I paid them. They acknowledged that they made the mistake but wouldn’t do anything about it. *** finally took his debit card out and paid for my gas because they did not know how to fix the situation that they created. I did not go back there for over a month and stopped in yesterday, because it was convenient, and when I tried to use my discount card the cashier, ****, told me that my card had been deactivated and that I was banned from the store. I did nothing wrong but pay for gas that they were not knowledgeable enough to place on the right pump or fix their mistake. I called the corporate office and they said they’re not allowed to deactivate my card or ban me from the store. **** wasn’t in the store when the gas pump problem happened but somehow she has all my personal information and threatened me.

      The customer has opened two complaints with our office, on 3/12/24 and 5/3/24.

      Regarding the store employee who paid for the customer's fuel, he was reimbursed the entire amount of $30.00.  The additional $18.00 was for products that the customer purchased while at the store. 

      The customer's Speedy Rewards card has not been inactivated, but it is in a "preenrolled" state, which means that the customer has not completed the registration of it, which she can do either on our website (www.speedway.com) or on our mobile app if she has it installed on her cell phone.

      The customer has not been banned from the store at this time.  That requires a trespass notice being issued to the customer by the local police department at the store management's request.  I spoke with the store manager today, 5/15/24, and she told me that a ban was not issued as the customer seems to have settled down and has not been involved in any further altercations at the store.  However, a ban can be issued in the future if the customer's behavior at the store warrants it.

      I have notified the district manager that the customer would like a call from them.

      ****, the employee that told me my card was ‘deactivated’ and  specifically told me I was banned from the store and *** was standing by when she said it. They cover for each other. I still have not received a call from the store manager or the district manager. 
      I have “calmed down”. I want to know what they would do if they paid for something and was told they couldn’t have it. I understand *** paid for my fuel…I told customer service that he needed reimbursed and I thanked him! 
      I’m not the problem! I have been going there for over 30 years and never had a problem until the passed few months. There’s a different worker every time and no one knows what they are doing. Never seems to be anyone in charge either. Maybe some training or new management is necessary.

      4 30-24 in the morning in a hurry the cashier was trying to scan my speedway wallet I had 20 dollars the barcode was scanned several times but would not let me check out so the manager came over to help and she did the same thing and walked away the cashier tried again again again and again so I ask the the manager to help again she kept saying if it not in my wallet it won't scan but it was in my wallet and it was bringing up the bar code still nothing the cashier did nothing wrong she was trying to learn how to do the process the manager couldn't even do it so i told her loudly DO YOUR JOB!!!!!!
