This business offers work-from-home opportunities in the form of mailing programs. Consumers who purchase a program have their name and address placed on a flyer, which can then be mailed by the consumer to a list of addresses either provided in a kit or using a mailing list that must be purchased separately. The consumer receives money if the recipients of the flyer choose to order the mailing program for themselves.

BBB has been made aware that some of the programs are listed under the following names: Mailbox ATM, Easy Mail Profits Program, and Guaranteed Money for Life.

Mailing kits that may contain a CD-rom, mail order guides, “The Mail Order Black Belt” and “The Response Booster”, discounts for future printing or mail services, a list of mailing addresses and other printable materials. In conjunction with the mailing programs, the business also offers a mailing service that will label, fold and insert the mailings into envelopes.

Other mailing programs offered by the business, such as CashKicker, requests the recipient of the flyer to join the program for the ability to purchase “spots” on the flyer.  These spots have been previously purchased by the original sender of the mailing. Once purchased, the consumer earns their right to be listed in that “spot” when they send out subsequent mailings.

The business also offers a program called CashTalks, in which consumers may send a $50 donation to become a member of the Charity House Organization. This organization is described by the business as a charitable organization who donates to people in need. BBB has been unable to locate a charity by this name registered in the United States.

BBB reached out to the business in attempts to learn more about their products and services in July, 2013. As of August, 2013 BBB has not received a response.

BBB offers the following advice in regards to chain letters:

Some chain letters promise to make you rich if you just make a small investment. Yet, most people who participate in these chain letter schemes don't make any money, and in fact, may lose their original investment. Not only that, but chain letters are a form of lottery and may violate federal mail fraud laws.

A typical chain letter might ask you to send a certain amount of money to 6 people along with a copy of the letter. Eventually, in this case after only 13 mailings, the scheme would require more participants then there are people in the world!

The originators of the letter may receive some money; however, chain letter schemes that involve the mailing of money or any other items of value are illegal. While all participants are criminally involved, the originators are generally the only ones who are prosecuted.

Remember chain letters that only promise good fortune, but do not require an investment, are not illegal. Do not be afraid to break the chain because of implied threats of personal loss or injury - simply throw the letter away.

Some letters may even be disguised as multilevel marketing plans. In these marketing plans, investors make money in both selling products and recruiting other investors. However, chain letters may not be legal even though they promote selling products, not winning money.

Watch out for chain letters that state they do not violate the law. If you think you've received an illegal chain letter, turn it over to the nearest office of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
