Went to Millers Junk Yard 12/9/21 and paid them 603.84 for a motor they said was the proper motor for my car. They asked me the make, model, year and vin number and what admissions system it had, which they should know from the vin no. Told them federal. After the motor was put in I found out they sold me the wrong motor it was California admissions which caused a lean code and poor gas mileage. Went back and told them they said it was the right motor and gave me a phone number to a mechanic they said could fix it for me. This cost a lot of additional parts, labor, and delays. They had to replace the head in order to remove the lean code and have it run more fuel efficiency. I feel that I should be refunded my money for all the following work that needed to be done to try to correct being sold the wrong motor.

Customer ended up returning our engine in pieces months ago at which time he was given the money for the engine back because we didn't have a replacement at the time. This was months after it was bought and we only give a 30-day warranty. We feel this was handled accordly and generously taken care of on our parts considering the time frame and being returned an engine in pieces. If there are any other questions, feel free to get ahold of us at the office

I am rejecting this response because: They are lying they sold me a motor that ran but was California admissions when they knew that I needed a Federal admissions motr. I gave them the VIN number and all the information needed to know what was the correct motor. When I found out that it was the wroug motor and Y City Repair put it in anyway which caused a lean code, which caused very poor fuel mileage. When I went back to Millers they they were rude and made and acted like they were mad. I'm the one who should be mad! They made excuses and gave me the phone number to a mechanic that caused me a lot of problems and a lot of money. They should have just sold me the right motor in the first place and if they didn't have it they should've said they didn't! They should refund my money for the motor!
