Around 6PM on 8/11/2022 a service person came out to look at my refrigerator an appointment I set up. I told the service person what the technicians in ********** **** said that the damper is broken. The service person did not look at it did not do a diagnostic and started writing in the computer. The Mr Appliance service person asked me what else? I told him about my dryer needing a four prong instead of three prong outlet. He said okay he will change the cord but did not have the tools he needed in his truck. But on the receipt he charged me. He said he could not get the part in until Thursday 8/18/2022. He asked for my visa card and said I will get a receipt through my email and an appointment was set for 8/18/2022. The service person left. After I went on my computer to look and see the charge and what was ordered, I immediately wanted to cancel and tried the office that evening but I could not get through. I contacted the office 6:30AM the next morning 8/12/2022 and abut 7:30AM or 8AM, **** called back. He said he could not cancel the order. I told him for that price I can almost buy a new refrigerator and there was never a diagnostic done like he promised. If this $553.00 part does not work then I am in more money down the road and just prefer to cancel now. I asked **** to try and call the warehouse or do whatever he needs to do to cancel this order and refund my money. I called back on 8/12/2022 to speak with **** again and I left an email for him to call me to make sure this order is canceled and to send my refund to my P.O. Box. **** never returned my call. I contacted my bank where the transaction went through and Mr Appliance took the full $553.50 from my account and I want my money back.

Today I returned to my home to find a box on the ground near my door that had been sitting on the ground since Saturday 8/13/2022. Since that time the area had two rain storms and who knows whatever else happen to the package.
I opened the package and the one part fell into my hand. It was loose and not attached to the part. I called around to technicians who told me the part is defective and they would have to order another part because they cannot use a defective part from another company.

I want my money back and I have returned the part back to Mr Appliance West Central Ohio

      Court Case#**********

      9/2/2022

      Dear **** and ********,

I will provide **rrent information about the above situation.

Today around 9:38 AM Eastern time, I received a call from **** with Mr. Appliance. **** stated that he was confused when he received a letter from me stating the bank will investigate this matter versus receiving a letter from Small Claims **** Municipal Court. I apologized for the confusion and explained that the bank did not start an investigation because the money came from a debit card which means the money was directly and immediately taken out of my account. I can see the confusion that **** had with this because normally Banks do an investigation when it is a credit card not a debit card.

**** mentioned he was willing to speak about giving my money back minus the visit and diagnostic check. I told him he never did a diagnostic check. I told him, the technician what the appliance company in ********** told me was wrong with the refrigerator. No other diagnostic was performed and I was immediately charged.

**** told me we can have another dis**ssion after I cancel my small claim case and inform the Better Business Bureau. I told him I am willing to close the Better Business Bureau case and contact **** Municipal court to cancel but I was concerned about the $119.00 that he will keep for the diagnostic check and visit. He said it was on a recording but I don't recall. And I was willing to hear the call. I told him my concern was that from ********** the going comparable rate for a visit and diagnostic call was about $50.00 or $70.00 dollars that I already paid. **** corrected and said okay he is willing to give me back my full refund but I will have to find someone else or another company in the future to call. I told him yes, I would like my full refund and I will find someone else or another company to call in the future. The call was mutual and not negative. I asked **** if I can record what we said in this conversation, he said yes that was okay with him. I apologized and told him I did not want any trouble. **** explained that he is with a reputable company and he has skilled technicians and does not want his reputation tarnish. I told him I understand. I thanked him for his time.

**rrently, after making a couple of professional calls I was advised not to cancel anything until I get a full refund. And, the court cost of $127.00 dollars. I filed with **** Municipal Court because I thought **** with Mr. Appliance and I communication broke down. **** said he will see me in court, I said okay. So, I thought court was my only recourse was to get the small claims court involved. The court cost was $127.00 charged to me. I have attached a copy of the court cost receipt.  The full refund would need to be the full $553.50 plus court cost that I paid of $127.00 dollars. Total $680.50 dollars.  Please see attachment. After receiving my full refund and court cost then I will be willing to cancel the court case and inform Better Business Bureau.

      Again, thank you.

We pre-paid Mr. Appliance of West Central Ohio $1876.28 on April 27, 2022, for repair service. Then we paid an additional $457.37 on May 31, 2022, for parts. It has now been 4 months and 3 months respectively; nothing has been repaired and no parts have been installed. We first requested a refund of our money on July 15, 2022, but they refused and are no longer responding to our calls or emails. We also contacted Mr. Appliance HQ, but they said all disputes are handled by local franchisees. We have repeatedly tried to get the company to return the un-used parts and refund our money for the service they have not provided, but they will not do what is right.
Mr. Appliance did not provide written estimates, invoices or contracts, but we have email records and bank statements to confirm our complaint.
