On approximately 18 March I agreed to have Erie Roofing put a new roof on my home after wind damage and an insurance claim was made. On approximately 5 April, I asked for a cost breakdown for my insurance, was told they couldn't until after the work is complete. On 13 April 2023 the roof was installed and then on 15 April I spoke to ***** and ***** about getting thr breakdown. They said they didn't do that and no one could give me one. ***** from corporate then stated it would be up to the Nashville regional sales manager **** that she would send a not asking him to help. I was unable to get a hold of him till 19 April 2023 and he continued to state he couldn't help and didn't know the price breakdown and that coprate set the prices, in Contradiction to what ***** **** had told me.

Erie Home apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused. Erie does not release its internal costs because it contains proprietary information regarding Erie’s margins and other trade-secret information. Erie would be more than happy to fill out any insurance form needed for your insurance company but cannot provide the cost breakdown. Erie does complete these insurance forms on a daily bases and cost breakdown is not required for this to be completed. If you would like to have one of these done, please reach out to our Customer Service team at 1-800-***-****.

2/22/23 completion made contract with understanding of replacement of all jacks under in crawl space amd new ones with supplement support beams. Total price was around 29000. Tried to resolve issue woth branch manager. Erie home basement.

Had them come out to give me a estimate. The inspector did a great job and took his time. When going over the info seems to have great knowledge. Made a offer and I accepted. The job took 4 days double then what was told to complete. That's fine it happens maybe the last job didn't get done In time. The biggest issue I have is when signing the contract on the job. I was told and made sure me and the inspector was on the same page. The current floor Jacks under the house would be replaced with the supplement support beam. Then the main load bearing beam would replace the current Jack's and have them equally space. Then on the west side of the house would get brand new Jacks with a supplement beam all the way down to have to joist under the house not having to span 16 ft.so. all the joist would only span 8 to 10 ft. To stop any shaging. Once the job was done when I went to inspect their work the jacks was only supporting one joist each. With the exiting ones still there which needed to be replace. After I called the install manager. The reason why it wasn't done that way was because of an issue with the foundation and the possibility of framing issues. And that isn't something they do. All this time they didn't stop work or even talk to me about this issue during or before. So now I have to pay someone else to fix the issue that they were originally surpose to fix. If I would have know this I would have stopped off work till we would figure it out. So now the warranty is **** because the next company is going to have to cut the line to fix the original issue.

Erie Home apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused. Per the signed contract Erie was to install support Jacks where required. The contract does not state that we were to remove existing jacks. Also stated on the back of the contract it does state that “Contractor is not
responsible for remedying structural defects. Buyer(s) acknowledges that
Contractor’s products do not correct or cure structural problems.” Customer did sign completion paperwork stating that all work had been completed per the contract.

I am rejecting this response because: after talking to the install manager about this issue he made it sound like there was nothing he or I could do about this issue. He made it sound like my only choice was to sign the completion paper. He gave no alternative when I called.

      Business Response

Erie Home did speak with the customer before having him sign the completion certificate. Erie reiterated that what he was requesting was beyond
our scope of work (Erie would not be leveling his floor via jack poles) and the
poles were reinforcement only.  The customer was still not happy, so Erie agreed to
attempt to lay a 4x4 post between the joists and support poles, however, if
they did not fit or work Erie would be willing to leave the materials for him; he
stated he was going to hire someone else to level his floor.  The 4x4
posts were not able to be installed, the Install Manager left them there and the customer signed the completion certificate.

This is the last letter I write. It is a shame the two people that wrote up the contract personally had knowledge what I was expecting from this part of the job. And what was expected. And because of my lack of knowledge of standard operating procedures. On this part of the job. This was different then the what was given and the failure on your team. I should of never signed that completion paper. But it is what it is. I will personally never use your company ever again and I'll make sure that my family and friends stay away as well. I hope you don't ***** over anybody else

I am rejecting this response because: they should have sent and taken care of this matter sooner than 32 days. Erie does apologize for the delay. Again we have sent out the check via USPS and should be to you. As for the " pushing people into a sale that once approved have no control of the % that they may put on the Contract" complaint. Erie home does not change its contracts without a customer acknowledgement and amendment signed by a customer. All financing documentation is signed by the customer at time of sale, so the customer understands what they will be paying.

We had a roof put on last fall which included a contract for gutters. The Gutter Subcontractor never showed up for the work so we contacted the company. An amendment was made to the contract in December. We never received the refund. We have been given excuses of illness in the manager's family, a family death of someone in the office, corporate is to issue the check, ***** should be there any time. etc... etc.. We just want to settle up and we're done. The roofing work was fine and the crew was good.

I hired this company to do my roof. I paid a 3rd of the whole price down. They came out and installed the roof. I was there at the beginning of it and then I left because I had things to do. I hired a roofing inspector and he told me it was completely trash- nails sticking out of the shingles, it is not sealed properly, the vents are not sealed properly. I told them to install the new roof on top of the old roof and they didn't install the drip edge properly. They never told me about voiding the warranty. No one told me this would void the warranty. They came out and said they would fix the roof and replace all of my gutters and would get started within a week and it's been 2 weeks now. No one has attempted to make any contact with me.
I want every single penny of my money back and them gone.

On Saturday March 4, 2023 representatives from Erie Metal Roof arrived at our home to provide us with information concerning a roof replacement. During the physical inspection of the attic one of the men, *****, stepped off a joist and broke through the second floor ceiling. I have repeatedly attempted to contact ***** ****** who was the lead representative at our home that day, but calls and text have not been returned. I have emailed ******* ******** at ************, as instructed, with the repair estimate, again no response. I have called Erie Home - ****** at ************ and have not received a return call. They are responsible for the damage to my personal property and we simply and reasonably expect them to pay for the repair or provide honest insurance information and approve the claim. I have delayed pursuing action as I truly believed this would be not this difficult attempting to contact a reputable company. At this point if we are not able to reach a satisfactory conclusion with the assistance of the BBB, we are prepared to move forward as necessary. I am attaching the estimate from ***** Restoration to repair the damage and a photo of Mr. ****** cleaning up the mess.

Business persists in sending spam emails to advertise their services. I have never contacted this company or am I in the market for the services they provide. The only way to contact the company through the email is to request a quote. If you request a quote, then you must agree to receive any type of communication in the future. On 3/24/23 my husband and I signed a contract after 6 hours of supposed roofing education. We put down a 20,000 dollar deposit on a 40000 dollar roofing job. We asked for a copy of the contract and was denied and told it would come on 3/25/23. Loan papers came through but no contract. We reminded them that no contract came through and it didn't. Then on 3/31/23 we asked for a refund and to cancel the contract. We were told no because of a 3 day Claus in the contract again reminded them they never gave me a copy. I was told I was lying and they did send one. Then they offered a discount but if we didn't take it they would keep 14000 dollars and I would get nothing g for it. They did send a contact finally on 4/1/23 but it was back dated to 3/23/23. They were here on 3/24/23.

They set a price without notifying or giving me and/or my wife an option to disagree with the price. They proceeded with the project as if I had agreed with a contract to include arranged financing. This set price was of a value that I would have never agreeed to. The price is quite steep. In order to start the service I made a down payment of $17,000 in good faith to ensure the business. I thought this would be deducted from the final cost. They billed me $67,000 leaving me with a balance of $50,000. None of the information I provided was related to me by Erie. I looked through some of the paperwork I have when they visited me to sell me the new roof. When I called to resolve the issue they were not helpful. They sent representatives to the house but they were unhelpful as well and unable to resolve the issue. The remodeling agreement that I received is not signed by me or my spouse.

Erie Home apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused. The customer electronically signed the contract as attached stating that they did agree to the price. Per the contract every customer does have a 3 day right to rescission. This customer did not cancel the contract and we have installed the roof per the contract with no issues. The contracts were emailed to the customer as well as sent via certified mail.

I signed a contract on 8/17/22 .I got new shingle roof put on home under the understandiing that they were a replible company, they charged me 34,500 dollars witch I found out was about double or more than what it should've been I dont mind paying for the actual worth I just don't like being conned. Please if we could come to an agreement on actual price.
