Pattern of Complaints

BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning difficulties reaching customer service, unreasonable delays, and failure to process refund requests in a timely manner. On April 18, 2022, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints.

On May 4, 2022, the business provided the BBB with the following response:

"Dear Need-a-Fence Customer: Sometimes when I try to explain things to folks by phone, I get excited and probably don't give a clear picture of what's going on with your deposit/money. So, I've worked with my business lawyer to compose this e-mail to give you clarity and confidence that you will be repaid in-full. I am a man of my word and I commit to pay you, period! Here's what's going on. I'm in the middle of an unpleasant divorce which should be settled in the next few weeks. This has torn apart our family business and regretfully has impacted my ability to timely return your cash. Why? Disputes concerning our business and personal assets have arisen in the divorce and a restraining order has been issued by the judge concerning certain assets. As I write this, working with our lawyers, it appears we are getting close to an agreement. Once that's done, after blessing from the judge, it is my hope all is settled in the next few weeks. So, my goal is to pay you by the end of May. If anything threatens this timetable, I will immediately contact you again. Otherwise, the next correspondence from me will be payment! Thank you in advance for your patience and I offer my sincere apology for the delay."
