Bought the car on March 4th 2025 we did not know that they ran our credit through 21 different lenders to get us into a new car. we have not received our paper leasing agreement. we have called multiple times asking to speak to the person that sold us the car and they never return our phone calls never get back to **. Also today trying to set up the payment they gave us a phone number I called and I have to wait for the welcome packet to be able to make my first payment and they told us our payment was on the 10th of May 2025 now they're saying it's on the 9th of May 2025.

I purchased a vehicle from *** ganley **** Sales person **** *****. He sold me a car that was advertised as a twin turbo and after we get the title find out it's not a twin turbo. Also wasn't sold as is. So after having The vehicle for like 3 days started experiencing some weird shifting some weird vibration. I call them. They tell me to bring it in so they can look at it. They call me the next day say we're going to change three tires because of uneven tread because it was 1/64 off so it was causing it to vibrate so they do all that. I pick it up literally on the way home halfway home starts doing the same stuff so I take it back. They tell me they'll check it over. They call me back a few days later saying hey we fixed it. We had ** do a transmission flush so I go to pick it up. You get it back home. Same stuff happens. I call *** ganley leave plenty of voicemails. Talk to a few people. Thank you. They said they'd have a manager call me. No one ever calls back. They literally sold me a crappy car. Took my money and that's all after. Finally getting a hold of *** ganley. I spoke with ****, their service manager and he told me since there's no check engine lights on they can't service my vehicle. I need to take it to a Chevy dealer if I want it worked on. That was after 2 weeks of not hearing from them. Well I took it to a ***** dealer and it is now getting tore apart because of the issues. I explained to *** ganley and they chose not to want to honor their warranty and also not wanting to call me back to talk to me about how I was treated wrong, how I purchased a crappy vehicle and why my new vehicle is already in the shop getting major work done. The only time they were nice was when they thought they were getting a sale from me. Now they already got the sale. They don't want to help. Honestly, it was the worst experience I ever dealt with in my life I have owned this vehicle since Dec 2024 and the dealership has put more miles on it then me and have had it longer

      Mr. Srausbaugh,

We regret that we cannot repair your vehicle at our facility. We have replaced tires, took your vehicle to another dealership (both at no cost to you) and have advised you to take it to a dealer that can properly diagnose your vehicle.

****, our service manager, has been in contact with you and also advised you this is the best route for you, to which, we have a recorded phone call where you are threatening him.

Please understand vehicles are machines and if they were easy to be fixed, there wouldn't be any repair facilties anywhere.

It is best fit for all parties that you again, take the vehicle elsewhere and have them earn your business as you have been clear that we simply cannot

      Thank you

Two weeks ago, my 2019 Kia **** lost power doing sixty five on 680, a freeway I usually use. The power loss was due to a lack of oil, which my ********* Lamp never notified me of lacking during my trips. I was aware that my **** burned oil while driving, but never knew when I was low or not due to this issue. The lack of notification nearly caused me -and the individuals behind me- into an accident. Luckily, I was able to limp to the dealership and explained the situation. The company listened, but never notified me of a faulty oil light, only the symptoms of this issue that will cost six thousand to fix/ This should be under warranty or some sort of recall, due to the vehicle being under ****** miles. Due to others having this same safety issue, Im making a report. If you need numbers regarding these witnesses, please send ask me through email so I could ask them for permissions If youre looking for information regarding my ****, then youre going to have to contact the business in question, theyre refusing to call me back in regards to any information in this matter. I managed to get ahold of them today, and theyre still waiting on the insurance agent that weve been waiting on for about a week and a half. The amount of money Im spending on a rental car is astronomical, and unneeded. Any assistance with any of this will be helpful. Thank you.

I picked it back up after paying $600 just to bring it home and the next day it do the exact same thing that it did whenever I took it in the first time I called ***. They got it in that Monday , it was there at the dealership for almost another week just to be told that it was the turbo all along so I had pretty much just wasted all this money and they couldnt fix it . I was told it would be fixed and it was not.

      To Whom it May Concern,

Here are the details regarding the service for ******************* -

First visit: Ro# ******, ****** mi 8/14/24 - 8/20/24:  Techs worked through diagnosis.  Lack of power issue. Replaced turbo waste gate solenoid. Customer paid for rental.

Second visit: Ro 747566,  ****** mi 8/20/24 - 8/23/24: engine light came on after vehicle picked up from service. New code in system P2191. Purge solenoid failed, unrelated to turbo actuator on previous repair. Customer okay spark plug service as per recommendation on last service visit. Provided alternate transportation at no charge.

Third visit:  Ro# ******, ****** mi 8/26/24. Concern of engine light on again and lagging to start. P2191 code returned stored in system. Tech found sign of exhaust leak at a gasket for the turbo charger which isn't serviced separately from the Turbo charger assembly.  We did not charge any further diagnosis and provided alternate transportation at no charge while we worked through diagnosis.

We review with ******************* that the next steps toward repair is going to be a costly investment. The car starts, runs and drivers and had no warning lights on when we returned the customers vehicle back to her

Dealership is not willing to reimburse customer for repairs that were fixed each time.

      Business Response

Ken Ganley Kia Boardman has submitted a response and/or proposal to resolve this complaint. The details are as follows:

Date that proposal was made: customer can trade vehicle in, no refund will be given as dealership isn't responsible for vehicles mechanical failure

Description of proposed resolution: can trade vehicle in

      Promised completion date: not available

In addition, the business provided the following additional details:

We started diagnosis of the primary concern RO# ******
"customer states - vehicle is having an issue starting after sitting. The check engine light came on yesterday, vehicle is lacking power and will not accelerate well. Diag. & advise."
While performing the diagnosis and system scan, the vehicle had one fault code p0299 turbo charger under boost. Fallowed the diagnostic chart and found the voltage was out of spec for the waste gate actuator. Spec is 3.7-4.0 volts and currently reading 4.47 volts-out of specified range and required replacement to correct condition.
On that visit the customer was advised of additional items found upon a MPVI and Deferred many recommendations.

Replacement of electronic waste gate actuator valve was $958.72 + tax and shop fees.
The repair invoice also includes a rental customer requested and paid at discounted rate through enterprise: $231.12
Customer paid total invoice that visit: $1154.24

It is unfortunate that the malfunction light came back on 49 miles after she picked up vehicle.
When she returned, we provided ******************* with alternate transportation at no charge while we diagnosed the condition.
We had a new code in system P2191 "system too lean at higher load" after diagnosis of condition found the evap purge solenoid control valve to not hold vacuum. Replacement required to correct condition.
The repair for that issue customer was responsible for is $205.65 + tax and shop fees.
The customer approved maintenance recommendation of spark plug service at that time as well. $249.95+Tax & shop fees.

The customer returned for diagnosis of a drivability issue, dropped off for service on 08/26/2024 We provided alternate transportation while we had it in for diagnosis.

We found systems to have history code for p2191 "system too lean at higher load".
Performed extensive diagnostic testing and inspection of all systems related to the stored code found in system.
While performing testing, found exhaust leak from turbo between housing. Gasket is not serviceable and would require replacement of Turbocharger assembly.
Also note event data for p0638 and may have a possible failure at a later date.

The repair estimate was given to replace the turbocharge assembly with the most affordable option $3393.10 + tax & shop fees.
The estimate for the throttle body replacement was provided at: $645.00 + tax and shop fees.
These 2 items listed are a starting point and many components on the vehicle could be a concern considering the age of the vehicle and that the vehicle has over ******* miles

Absolutely not! No way Im trading in my car Trailer first off as *** explained that my car is from my kids dad, whos past ,  second even if I wanted to entertain that idea I dont have the $ for a down payment nor the credit.   I dont care what parts were replaced they werent the correct part that needed replacing in the end.  Maybe if the certified mechanic wouldnt have just thrown parts on it I wouldnt have had to go back 3 times and if I would have know the cost of the correct part I could have planned accordingly and had it replaced.  Something needs to be done.  Im not going away and Ill push and contact whoever I need to.

If the customer would like us to repair the vehicle, we are happy to do so, but it is NOT covered under warranty therefore customer assumes all fees with repairs

But couldnt charge the battery from the repair. Have a tow bill for $170.00 to get home.

I recently went to a mechanic about my check engine light being on. The mechanic told me that there were metal shavings found in the engine. He also showed me a picture of the metal shavings. I was told to check with the *** ********** to see if my engine would be under warranty to be replaced due to the many recalls associated with *** regarding their engines. I called the *** ********** in Boardman and scheduled an appointment on April 12, so they could check my engine and see if the metal shavings have anything to do with the Rod **** bearing, and if it did it would be covered under warranty for a new engine replacement. When I get to the ********** the paper says "Checking for metal shaving in oil". I asked the guy that checked me in why did it say it would check my oil when I was told it would be put on the computer to check my engine. He told me that it would be put on the computer and he also said that I would be covered under the warranty. The lady who I spoke to yesterday comes to me and tries to tell me my engine light isn't on and "obviously its not the Rod main bearing causing the problem". I told her my check engine light is on, that is my reason for coming in and she asked if I wanted additional work to be done then I asked her if my car has been checked yet & she said no. I told her I would wait until it was checked. Then she comes back & tells me they checked for shavings in my oil, I asked her why are you only looking for the shavings in my oil, the mechanic told me that the metal shavings were found on a part in my engine. She tried to state she didn't know how my check engine light went off "It may have turned off once you got out the vehicle." I asked to get my keys so I can leave. I asked to speak with the head mechanic that worked on my car to ask him a question regarding my check engine light and they told me " he was busy". The lady then went to one of the guys and whispered "he wants to ask a question and it could go left". Need resolution!

The customer brought the vehicle in for diagnosis of " METAL SHAVINGS IN OIL CHECK AND ADVISE"
The customer was advised of diagnosis needed, vehicle assigned to technician and did not find any issue with the vehicle that would qualify the repair to be covered by the warranty extension.
The warranty extension is for engine rod bearing failure only.

No codes in system for potential rod bearing issue and could not verify any failure at time of service.
Customer was advised at that time.

Please see attached for RO. Customer will have diagnosis waived upon next service visit

This dealership refuse to sale me a car that was on sale on their lot and I was fully capable to to purchase. They lied and said they would have to mark it up **** bucks first, even after I agree to that just to call their bluff they found a way out of selling the vehicle I wanted. I also had financial backing I asked them to run only a specific financial backing, they ran my credit to multiple banks when I specifically told them I was satisfied with my financial institute. Only to learn this the next day after I started to get a million alerts. I asked could they just call a partner store and see if they had what I wanted and the sales team acted as if that was an unheard of practice. After realizing they was offer the most for my trade I still purchased a vehicle under the assumption the trade off for what I want can still be possible after signing but after trying to find a trade for myself at different dealers myself I was informed I was scammed and its sort of too late. All I wanted was the awd version of what I purchased.

The vehicle the customer was looking at is a service rental and is not eligible for retail sale yet. ****** picked out the K5 off of the lot himself that he is currently driving. Additionally, customer was rate conscious so we send our consumers to banks to try and get them the best interest rate possible. Regarding the *** version of the K5, ****** wanted a vehicle that we didn't have, which is $3000 more, for the same price. Unfortunately, that is not an option.

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.

As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
