I went to OU Federal Credit Union on June 12th to apply for skip-a-pay. Skip-A-Pay is a program where you can pay $35 and have one of your monthly car payments skipped. I filled out the application and paid my $35. Later that day, I got a call saying I was not eligible for skip a pay due to a delinquent account with **********************. I explained to the manager that I was approved for the Skip-A-Pay in December and did not understand why I was not approved now. She claimed it was a courtesy which no one ever told me. I asked her for my $35 back since I was not approved, and she refused to give it back to me saying it was placed in the delinquent account. No where on the Skip-A-Pay application does it say OU Federal credit union will not issue a refund if not approved for the program. I even asked her if she could place it in my auto loan account, and she refused to. I have had numerous issues with OU Federal credit union changing my auto loan date without telling me and charging late fees. I also have had issues in the past getting in contact with anyone in the bank, because the phone rings and rings and no one answers. This bank has unethical practices, and are stealing from the poor. They are funded by the government as non-profit, but make profit from their unethical practices as mentioned above. I wanted to bring this to light and attached the Skip-A-Pay application and receipt of $35 that I placed into my childs savings account and ********************** took out without my permission to a account they claim was delinquent.
