  Please beware and do background checks before hiring anyone to come to your home. A group of victims have been trying to warn about this criminal for years and the warnings fell on deaf ears. He recently kidnapped and robbed this 75 year old woman who hired him to do work on her home. ***************************************************************************************

  *** was to build a patio covering connected to house. We initially signed invoice (contract) May 6,2022 with an agreed start date of June 12. He wanted half up front, which we paid. He then said he needed additional money to secure a spot for laying the cement. He came up with other times when he needed additional funding and some hard luck stories, until he eventually had the full amount $13,700. Looking back, I cannot believe I gave him all the money. All we have to date is a cement slab and a frame. I have had several people look at it and said it was shoddy work and I have a report on the cement that says this. . He was also supposed to get a permit, said he did. We went to city planning and no permit had ever been filed. He says he will reimburse us, but we do not see that happening. He has no assets and says he is unable to work due to health reasons. I have not bothered taking him to small claims because another person did take her case there and he did not show up. Another person, ******************************* said that he also lost quite a bit of money, $7,500, on a building project from Dan the Handyman.

  We had this person come out on Monday, October 9 to give us a quote on doing some epoxy flooring. On Wednesday the 11th we notified him that we wanted to hire him for the job. He sent a contract electronically and we sent him $3500 by cash app as a down payment and so he could order supplies. we hadnt heard anything from him so I reached out to him on Thursday, October ************************************************************** the morning. I havent received an email letting me know when shipped when I ordered they did say it was on back order and would be in by the end of the week. he contradicted himself. Of course I messaged him on Friday morning, October 20 looking for an answers. His response was Im sorry yes they said it would ship Monday so we should be good by Friday. Six days ago by and no word from him. On Thursday, October 26 I messaged him looking for an update. His response was all I can tell you at this time is the order has shipped and tracking shows it being delivered. I asked to see proof of tracking. He sends me some tracking info that is very vague and fake. The following Monday we realize that we are getting the runaround and ask him to refund the money by cash app. He said that the supplies came in, but his wife sent them back to ******. He said that we would have to wait until he got the refund for the supplies and then when we did that he would send the refund. Another week goes by and nothing. We reach out to him and now he is out of town and supposedly the refund was being sent to him by mail. He said that he would be back in town on Thursday, November 9 and would get it taken care of. on Thursday we reach out again and he said that he sent a refund check by mail to us. Six days later and no check from him. It does not take six days for me to get from ****** to Newcastle.

  I originally hired ********************* in January. He left scrap wood and nails all over my yard. He claimed he would show up so many times and wouldnt. He installed indoor doors on an outdoor shed which warped immediately and has caused the doors to be stuck shut. The walkway which he built bows when walked on. There are still shims in place on the pergola he built. He has never finished the painting either. The most frustrating thing overall is his lies. He went so far as to claim he came to my door and my mom wouldnt answer. I have a ring doorbell. He NEVER came to my door. I have documentation of at least 20 times that he claimed he would show up and failed to (without any acknowledgment of why in most cases). I do not recommend Dan the handyman for any work you want done correctly and in a timely manner. Oh and of note, when he was failing to show up for my contracted job he was continuing to sign up for new jobs on Nextdoor.

  ******* we been thru this one than once I did show up I didnt leave scrap or nails in yard because none of ur work was nailed I used screws I have made every effort to correct any dispute with u I just now seen this and as for ur contract I was hired before u say and u was ur contract also states weather permitted plus just because u call on warranty work doesnt mean I drop everything to get there I told u that I would get there asap and I did the last time I was there I took pics of ur lawn guy so u know I was there no one answered the door no car in the drive way either just because one applies for work on Nextdoor doesnt mean one gets it it was my idea to change ur doors out that I warranty my work I had those doors up to few days ago
